Cabin vacation rentals in Farmville

I don’t think I can describe just how wonderful a trip this was but I will try. David was fantastic. To start the place was absolutely spotless and had a super clean kitchen and bathroom. The linens were very clean and there were plenty of towels for the hot tub and shower. The kitchen had a great oven that was a convection oven. There was also a cast-iron skillet, which is so essential. I hate cooking on nonstick because you never know what kind of toxic stuff you’re putting into your food so having a grill, cast-iron skillet, and breakfast skillet was amazing. While we were there, there was a flash flood. While there was no flood to be seen in the house because it’s on a hill, the roadway was temporarily impossible to traverse. David brought us fresh chicken from his farm and it was fantastic. He made sure that we were safe when we did leave once the water had subsided. The hot tub was very clean. It looked brand new. The Internet was very fast and we had no problem watching TV.

Ive stayed at this wonderful home many times so I knew it was a treasure. However, the newest owner Gretchen really made this place even better. Clean, cozy, it has everything you need for a perfect moutain getaway. All the little touches and welcoming treats were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Can't wait to return!

Kristen is a great host! Her cabin was super clean, and nicely decorated. Kristen was super friendly and helpful as this was our first time in the area. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the cabin!

We have become regular visitors to Roudy’s Retreat; it’s something we look forward to when planning vacation time every year. The cabin is miles above what we could ask for, and our Jaclyn is always so helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house is very spacious and offers so many amenities—including a fire pit and hot tub and plenty of toys and games to keep our kids busy. We can relax on the deck with our coffee and enjoy the peaceful mountain mornings. And it’s located within an hour at most to a number of great attractions, like Crabtree Falls (only 15 minutes), a fishing pond, Natural Bridge and Lexington. My family and I highly recommend giving this place and try, and we look forward to returning again!

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

We stayed for two nights, and the cabin was beautifully decorated with a stunning property. The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids! One thing to note for future guests—the river is not as close as it may seem. It’s a pretty steep hike down to the dock and back up. While the view is absolutely gorgeous and the walk is worth it, not everyone may find it accessible. That said, the cabin itself was perfect—super comfy beds, plenty of cookware and utensils, and a cozy atmosphere. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again!

I loved the space inside and outside. The home is spacious, exceeding expectations, and very comfortable. A peaceful and serene rural setting. The only disappointment was how short my stay was.

Absolutely beautiful property and a perfect weekend escape for me and my family! The hot tub was wonderful, the bathrooms were incredible and had heated floors. The house was so cozy. We had a lot of fun playing board games and talking. Will definitely be returning in the future (:

This was a trip I got for my parents (in their 50s) and they had a wonderful time despite the weather being less than ideal (super rainy). When they got home they were happy and excited to share the adventure. Even went as far as to say they saw a glimpse of what their retirement could look like. So, I highly recommend as a gift to someone who enjoys the peace and serenity of the outdoors with someone they love (or go with you and your loved one if you enjoy that stuff as well)

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The house is clean and comfortable, combining the off-the-grid feel of a peaceful cabin in the woods with all the comforts of modern life. A great home-away-from-home while we explored the history, natural beauty and good food that central Virginia has to offer. We especially enjoyed exploring the trail from the cabin down to the Rockfish River.

We loved this adorable cabin in the woods. Katie is an awesome host! The furniture and bed were clean and comfy. The location is super quiet, yet close enough to amenities. The trails through the woods are fantastic and our dog enjoyed her trips to the creek. We definitely plan to return next time we're traveling through.

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

I had a great stay! Such a cozy, safe feeling in the quaint cabin. I found it extremely relaxing and I was able to decompress. The surrounding were also very peaceful. I had an amazing view of the sunsets every night. All the appliances worked great, including the stove. The check in and out was extremely easy and all of my communication with the host was very friendly and responded to right away. I hope to be back, thank you so much!

Great glamping experience. Christina's place was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, and Christina was incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely recommended.

Cheryl and her cabin were definitely a 10/10! It was super clean and has all the essentials for an intimate getaway. She was awesome at explaining things and checking in. We will definitely visit again.

Absolutely incredible! I went alone just me and my two dogs and the view was incredible and they had an absolute blast! I've recommended to friends, who have already booked! 12/10 recommend and will be returning!

Great stay here and Bryan was really accommodating when we booked the stay last minute upon deciding to extend our Christmas holiday and take another day off after visiting family. We brought our two dogs with us. It’s a beautiful secluded spot - perfect for relaxing. The grill was perfect too and we used the charcoal side to make burgers one night. We enjoyed an outing to Blue Mountain Barrel House to have a beer and lunch by the fire pit in the cold weather.

The space was squeaky clean and cozy, perfect for two people. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The location was beautiful with amazing mountain views. I particularly liked having morning coffee with the animals! The hosts made everything so easy. They were great at communicating and very responsive. Lisa even took the time to show us around and introduce us to the animals. I would definitely book again. I highly recommend the space and the hosts. We had a great experience!

We were in the area for a couple hours to rest before we had to get back on the road, great place to stay! Thank you for hosting us!
