Monthly Rentals in Fakarava Atoll

Our stay was just amazing!Frederique was incredibly warm and accommodating, and Jean Marie was also very friendly. Although we couldn't communicate perfectly with each other (he only speaks French, and we only speak English), we felt incredibly comfortable with the two. They have created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our stay memorable. A special highlight was her sugar-sweet dog, who often made us smile. Plus, it was a very special experience for us to stay on a catamaran – truly unique! High praise also goes to the host for her extraordinary cooking skills – the food was amazing! It was also a plus that drinking water was available at all times. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

So we had captain Romano and his first mate Nanu. The boat was a monohull . They were both so friendly and easy going. Nanu made amazing meals the captain assisted when needed. The boat is not new or fancy but I found it charming. Romano organized snorkeling , scuba diving and some site seeing island exploring. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed this adventure. None of us had stayed in a boat before. It was very relaxing and we felt very taken care of. No complaints. One night the captain played the keyboard and that was a fun experience. The sunsets were amazing and the views from the boat were beautiful. I’d definitely do this again.

Wendy’s place is worderful. Simple but genuine house. Very welcoming atmosphere and you feel immediately at home. She does her outmost to make your holiday perfect. No matter were you are in Fakarava, there is never more than 100m to the beach. Make sure to rent bicycles, because the motu stretches 10km to the north (where the best beaches are) and 20km to the south. There is one bike at the house, but if you need more, Wendy will assist. If you want a genuine Fakarava accomodation this is it. If you are not fluent in french, Wendy’s place is even better…she is the english teacher in the village.
