Beachfront vacation rentals in Essex

I stayed for the week of Christmas to be near my family. What a delightful place for a single person, or a couple; cozy yet not cramped, well designed and very nicely furnished. The bed is super comfortable, quality firm memory foam with nice linens. The fenced yard was perfect for my dog, although the lower height of the sea wall might be a concern for some - my dog won’t go in the water. The bonus was being able to use the hot tub in late December! Trains can be heard passing through but it wasn’t annoying or sleep disruptive. I would definitely like to stay here when I come back to the Downriver.

Perfect house for a family get away. Abby was very responsive both prior to arriving but also very attentive while we were there, dropping off any items that we might have needed! We would definitely stay at Abby's again next time we are in town.

Our family had a fantastic stay at Dean’s place! It was exactly what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations!! Very clean, gorgeous view, tons of room, comfy beds, everything you need! Highly recommend and would stay again!

Our stay at Kim and Paul’s was a wonderful and peaceful stay. The sauna is a great touch which is what lead me to book their place. Such beautiful views, very clean and tidy, and felt very cozy. We’ll definitely be back again when the weather gets warmer to enjoy the outdoors more!

Beautiful house , lots of things to do. Great games and movie set up, and an absolutely amazing view. If you are looking for a place to relax , and unwind this is the place. Amazing lake view to see wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Hosts were friendly, helpful right from the start of the process through the end of our visit.

We spent a lovely Christmas at CJ’s Lakehouse. The location was exactly where we wanted to be with easy access to town, Point Pelee and our family. The cottage was cozy with beautiful views of the lake. Jennifer was a wonderful host who was available when we needed her, but let us enjoy her home on our own. Thank you for helping make this Christmas special for our family.

Megan and Vlad’s place is set on a beautiful bluff. No words can explain how gorgeous their lot is. If you want an escape away from the city is this is the place to be. They weren’t kidding about the bugs but you get used to it. It ain’t the countryside without bugs after all. Will definitely come back in the future. The cabin is clean, spacious, and homey which is what you need for a perfect getaway. Bonus, there is the farm just in front of the cabin to add to the quintessential vibe of the place.

The views of water and private beach access were wonderful! The cottage is just as the pictures show and home as great appliances with everything labeled. It’s fully equipped for a long weekend stay. The hosts were also wonderfully accommodating and exceptionally responsive! The spiral stairs to the main bedroom upstairs are a charming feature, but might be a consideration for some as they were narrow and steep. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!

Another great stay! When the weather didnt co-operate we checked out the local wineries and had an amazing lunch at Coopers Hawk. Golfed at Kingsville Golf and Country Club that was just 5 minutes up the road. We had fun kayaking in the waves and campfires on the beach! Thanks again Jeff!

We had an amazing stay at Lee and Tina's cottage! From start to finish, they were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive to our questions. The place is peaceful and charming—just what we needed for a relaxing retreat. We especially loved falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The rental also included a pass to a nearby national park. We spent some time exploring the area and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Next time, I’ll be sure to book more days to explore all the nearby attractions. We highly recommend it! If you're looking for a tranquil, well-located spot with wonderful hosts, this is the perfect place to unwind.

My sister and I recently spent a weekend at Bella Vista. The cottage is perfectly situated on a peaceful street, and the space was ideal for relaxing, reading, cooking, and listening to the waves rolling in. Tony and Mary-Jo were very attentive and helpful. We would definitely book it again!

This was our third year to stay on Pelee. Courtney's place is so beautiful. Tastefully decorated. The kitchen was laid out nice to be user friendly, lots of cupboard space for preparing meals. The back deck and lake side deck were used often for coffee and evening sunsets. The house was very clean and organized. It had everything we needed. We didn't get to have a fire out back, it was too windy. A nice personal touch w a welcoming bottle of wine waiting for us. We learned a lot from the butterfly sanctuary on the island, very informative. The 1891 Stone House is a must go to! Great food and interesting history. I would definitely stay at Courtney's again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jeff's place. The home is in a beautiful location right on the lake. It is a very well equipped home with nice open spaces. This home very comfortably accommodated 3 couples and was very reasonably priced for the location and amenities. Thank you for our stay Jeff!

The cottage was a perfect little getaway. The yard and beach were beautuful and even more serene than the pictures in the listing. The deck down by the water is the perfect place for your morning coffee. I woukd definetly stay again.
