Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Edinburgh

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our stay in Edinburgh. Di was friendly and helpful, and we felt very comfortable. The neighbourhood was amazing, and we had fun shopping and trying different restaurants. Easy access to the Royal Mile, and it was lovely to have a quiet spot to return to at the end of the day. Everything was perfect, and we are grateful we had the opportunity to stay at such a lovely location.

Stunning accommodation, even nicer and bigger in person. Peaceful and beautiful. Short drive to local tram and 10 minutes into Edinburgh centre. Dannii was a very helpful host and accommodated our needs well (we had our toddler with us). We forgot personal items and she was kind enough to post these out for us which is above and beyond expectations. Many thanks Dannii and family for our wonderful stay.

Laura's place is superb with perfect amenities, squeaky clean and not too far from city centre which is easily accessible via nearby tram stop. She's extremely thoughtful providing for so many things one may need throughout the house. We loved the house, location and thoughtfulness behind providing so many things and tourism recommendations

Was on exchange in London and decided to visit Edinburgh, was extremely lucky to stay at Usman’s accommodation. He was extremely welcoming and waited for our arrival on the first day and took the liberty of showing us around the house. The place was super cosy, clean and warm. A proper lovely place to stay that’s not far from the main tourist spots either. Cannot thank Usman enough for being so lovely and ensuring we have everything we need for the stay. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back for a visit to Edinburgh. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Just out of Edinburgh but great value in comparison to centre prices. Bus stop just outside. Everything you need, described accurately and Jamie’s communication is excellent.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Edinburgh! The unit was cozy and clean. The location was perfect - just a half block from the Royal Mile! The host was incredibly welcoming, providing clear intructions. We highly recommend this unit to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Slawomir could not have been more helpful, he greeted us on arrival, explained everything and although we didn’t need to call him during our stay I’m sure he would have been right there if we needed him. The apartment had everything we needed for a city break with two young children and transport to and from the city was really easy. Thank you for a great few days in Edinburgh!

The flat was warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was very well equipped. It is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk to vibrant Stockbridge, but not noisy. The hosts were easy to contact and very helpful. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Beautiful, colourful, calm and clean. Excellent walkable location near The Meadows. Unexpected delight of views of Arthur’s Seat out the back window and Blackford Hill & The Pentlands out the front window! Very helpful host and we loved the added bonus of a discount at the fabulous cafe across the road- their Basque Cheesecake is to die for!

We loved this apartment. It was warm, cosy, comfortable and very colourful. It was perfect for us, we felt right at home there. Ross had left for us things that make a living space a home. Toiletries, condiments etc. he was there when we arrived and had taken our shopping delivery in. He is kind and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay, including local restaurants etc

Spot on location. No issues with off street parking and within 5 minutes walking distance of the tram, straight into Princess Street. Nice, clean flat with everything that I needed for our long weekend during rugby 6 nations. Have marked up as an Airbnb ‘favourite’ .

Richard’s flat was perfect in every way. Comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet, stocked with anything you might need and more. We all slept incredibly well. He even provided some breakfast items so we could easily get started with our days of touring. He greeted us, showed us how everything in the flat worked and gave lots of local recommendations. Highly recommend this rental in the heart of old town- with a beautiful historical garden out back. Thank you Richard!!

Fabulous location close to the city centre, but still with free on street parking available nearby. Close access to the Water of Leith Walkway, and great public transport passes the apartment.

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

Fiona and Neil's place was lovely – light, spacious and nicely furnished. A lot of thought had gone into making the place comfortable for guests. It's well located near restaurants, the station, a supermarket and walkable to Arthur's seat! We had some issues upon arrival with the heating – the fault was with the heating company who hadn't communicated the issue with Neil and Fiona during a recent check. Neil and Fiona were incredibly responsive and immediately sorted us out a temporary solution and then had the problem resolved ASAP. They were very attentive throughout the stay and are excellent hosts. We would definitely stay again!

Comfortable stay in Haymarket Edinburgh. Easy accessible to the city center and. Clear instructions given for check in and check out. Met the host during the check in and the host is very kind and helpful. The stay is at 4th floor. Quiet and clean stay. Love it !

A cosy, clean apartment right in the heart of the old city centre. Perfect if you are visiting without a car. Communication with Jana was friendly and uncomplicated. If we come back to Edinburgh definitely we’ll book again.

Haley's flat first class +. Furniture stylish and e excellent quality. Furnishings, towels, bedding, ornaments all well above Air B n B standards. Good stock of dry goods in cupboard. Quality crockery and cutlery . I'd highly recommend this flat and location.. Great transport links and adjacent to cafes etc. Will definitely go back. Although we didn't require to use them there was good baby/small children furniture, toys and books available. This is excellent, spacious accommodation.

this was my friends first time in edinburgh and it was the perfect location for walking and for driving. although the right block was hard to find a first as soon as we made it in we felt right at home and ended up leaving our car parked the whole time. the place was perfect and the blankets were greatly appreciated. only things we would note is we couldn’t manage to use the controllers to work the tv (could just be us haha) and if you are ordering food drivers have real trouble finding the building. thank u sue for letting us stay❤️
