Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Edinburgh

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our stay in Edinburgh. Di was friendly and helpful, and we felt very comfortable. The neighbourhood was amazing, and we had fun shopping and trying different restaurants. Easy access to the Royal Mile, and it was lovely to have a quiet spot to return to at the end of the day. Everything was perfect, and we are grateful we had the opportunity to stay at such a lovely location.

Would definitely stay again

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. Great location for easy (& cheap) tram access to the city. The house was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Nearby bars and shops if you want to stay local. Laura’s extensive information prior to check-in was superb and communication fantastic. Would highly recommend her as a host and hope to go back again in the future. Thank you so much Laura.

Great location! Close to downtown and easy access to Edinburgh and day trips out and about. Very clean and perfect for a family of four.

The flat was warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was very well equipped. It is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk to vibrant Stockbridge, but not noisy. The hosts were easy to contact and very helpful. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Great place to stay - city centre is a short walkable distance, but the immediate surroundings are peaceful and quiet (though there was a birthday party next door at some point, the guests were noisy up until 00:20, but not too critical for us). There were even toiletries and tea/coffee available which is usually not the case with Airbnbs. Would recommend to everyone for any number of days - both for a short and longer stay.

Great apartment, very close to the tram and bus stops. Neighborhood was quiet and very easy to navigate. Everything matched the description of the listing, and upon entering the apartment, it's like we knew where everything was. David was super responsive and even checked in on the first day to make sure we got there ok and didn't have any issues getting into the unit.

The host Daniel was friendly and very helpful. The apartment was fantastic, perfect for a couple. We were in short walking distance to pretty much all of Edinburghs main attractions and felt safe walking around too. We had a great time staying here and highly recommend it to others. This was a very comfortable stay for us. We’re only sorry we did t get to meet Daniel and his dog.

We really enjoyed our stay the apartment was lovely, very clean and tidy with a homely feel. The views from the balcony of Deans Village were beautiful. Close to coffee shops and restaurants and easy to walk into the city centre or catch an Uber on a lazy day. Ross was also very responsive to any queries we had. Highly recommended

We spent a week in the apartment with a 2 year old and had everything we needed here. The apartment is in a great location - within walking distance of bus stops (bus 20 minutes to the airport or in the other direction to the center), 5 minutes on foot smaller supermarket, 15 minutes on foot large supermarket, 5 minutes on foot playground. Parking a car in a nearby street for free. We also appreciate the opportunity to check in half an hour early and, on the contrary, check out in the early morning (at 4:15 AM) thanks to a contactless check-out. The owners responded to all messages almost immediately. The construction of the neighbors did not limit or disturb us at all. We were just not comfortable with a narrow and too soft bed and a less manageable shower. We still recommend a place to stay to everyone.

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

Comfortable stay in Haymarket Edinburgh. Easy accessible to the city center and. Clear instructions given for check in and check out. Met the host during the check in and the host is very kind and helpful. The stay is at 4th floor. Quiet and clean stay. Love it !

This was a FANTASTIC stay in Edinburgh. We are very excited to stay here again.

First of all, Ryan let me drop my bags at the flat around 11A, which was SO nice, and opened up my options for day #1 sightseeing. The flat is in a great location: away from the hubbub of Princes Street (where I spent the first two nights due to a change in plans, and don’t get me wrong, Princes Street is great, but it’s hopping), but 11 stops (22 min) on the 10 bus from Princes Street, if that’s where you’re headed. Two highlights: 1) The laundry game here is STRONG, including a descending drying rack in the laundry room which I’m 100% going to copy as soon as I get home. 2) GREAT shower. I used the tub mat, because if I fall in the shower, it’s going to be bad. 3) Convenience store across the street, Lidl (grocery) within a mile walk. Take your bag to both, as a reminder (I had to run back across the street). Thanks, Ryan. I hope to be back next year for the Edinburgh curling tournament. John

New Town is a beautiful part of Edinburgh and Cornelius's apartment was perfectly located to make benefit of its bars and restaurants. The apartment was just lovely with tasteful art work and a nice minimalist feel. Well appointed so easy to turn to home cooking when needed and all in all we would be happy to recommend.

This place was amazing, seriously exceeded expectations. The location was perfect for exploring the city, so close to everything. The flat itself was super clean and comfortable, with the amenities you could need. Check-in was a breeze, and the host was very responsive. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone traveling here!

Would give Kornelia 10 stars if I could! Stayed at Kornelias Newhaven property and absolutely loved it, decided to come back to Edinburgh and booked with Kornelia again. Booked with her other property and wow. Stocked up with everything you need and more, so clean and tidy, the decor is like home away from home and so comfortable. Kornelia is a very responsive host and set up a gorgeous surprise for my mum with balloons and gifts. She loved it. Could not recommend Kornelia being your host more! She is amazing.

Stayed here for a wedding in Edinburgh. Perfect location. The building is right next door to Lidl so we could grab some food when we arrived. It’s just close enough to the centre to be able to pop in and out in an Uber. Plus a parking space included so we could drive into town if we wanted and always have somewhere to park on our way back. The interior was actually better than the pictures. Really modern with everything we could have needed. We were really pleased with everything. Will definitely book again if we decide to revisit Edinburgh.
