Vacation rentals with beach access in East Lothian

Christina’s place was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for any more . The location was 10/10 as perfectly located near the north Berwick golf club and just at the end of the high street into town. Also minutes from the train station and bus links. The house was incredibly clean and incredibly comfortable - We all slept very well. Most of all the hospitality from Frank was amazing. He was incredibly warm and helpful and we all enjoyed meeting him. He had some great stories and could have chatted for hours. Overall, absolutely perfect and I’d recommend to anyone wanting to stay in north Berwick. Thanks a lot

Delightful stay in this spacious and comfy apartment. We had plenty of room with 6 adults; kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed; loved the Christmas decor to make it homey; so close to the beach and lovely scenery. Only drawback is the thin walls in older building so the noise from the restaurant/bar below the apartment was heard past midnight. But host did warn us about that and it all worked out (earplugs!). We loved walking along the darling street and down to the beach. Such a charming town and great stay!

I am coming once a year for ten years in Edinburgh. That is the best place I stay ever

Our family of 4 (plus Inca, our border terrier) stayed at The Puffin Burrow for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year. It was comfortable, clean and very well equipped. There was even a real Christmas tree in the main room which was a nice touch. The best thing about it was the location right opposite the beach which made it so easy to get out for walks with our dog. Once or twice I emailed Lucy to ask her something and she replied immediately which was very helpful. The flat itself is very tastefully decorated, there are games, maps, books, tv, everything you could need really. We'd definitely book this place again in the future.

Beautiful flat in a great location close to Edinburgh and right by the sea.

A wonderfully located flat with glorious views. On arrival there were some really thoughtful festive and welcoming touches. Beds very comfy! The flat was very well equipped and my sons managed to make use of the buckets and rakes provided, even though it was December. It was so easy to just pop over the road to the beach! We had a brilliant stay.

Just up the street from the beach and a short walk to the high street brilliant location. Very spacious inside for a flat and the full kitchen was very helpful when you have a child. Overall a great place to stay for a seaside holiday.

We are two couples who go away every New Year and Jill’s apartment in North Berwick was just perfect for our stay. Jill was very easy to contact and she replied very quickly. She was very accommodating regarding check-in and check-out times. The apartment is in a fantastic location with everything being within walking distance (restaurants and shops) , very well equipped, lovely furnishing’s, extremely clean, cosy and homely. We can honestly say this was the best apartment we’ve stayed in.

Cottage was MUCH better than expected based on pictures. Garden fabulous. Just few mins through lovely park and in main st. Loads lovely glasses. Nice wee touches like shampoo, herbs. Lots of room. Already planning return trip. Thank you.

We had an amazing time, and it was such a cute place to stay!

I had a wonderful stay here. Very peaceful and I was lucky enough to have a cabin with beautiful views of Bass Rock and Tantallon castle. The cabin itself was well equipped, cosy and really quite big! There are large supermarkets just a short drive/bus ride away for any food supplies. Seacliff beach is also just a short walk away and is gorgeous at sunrise! As a host, Lisa was fantastic and went out of her way to accomodate me. The restaurant recs were great and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast at drift and dinner at Herringbone. The cabin itself is on a bus route and buses are every hour or so but I preferred to have a car for exploring North Berwick and further afield. If you are looking to escape city life I can't recommend this place enough. I never tired of the view and was sad to leave. Thanks Lisa!

Janis' place has been the perfect base for 4 person golf trips. Plenty of room for 4 persons with golf gear. Easy access to the car. Well-equipped kitchen. Room to eat. Comfortable washroom. Has golf channels on TV. Enough space for morning stretching. Perfect.

Lovely place, great central village location.

Patricia was the best host we have ever encountered. She was quick to respond to questions, give helpful suggestions for activities and lend advice for local stores and restaurants. The house was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchenware for preparing complete meals. The area is lovely and relaxing. We didn't want to leave!

Kate was extremely kind and accommodating! She went out of her way to make our stay great. The airbnb was fantastic. Clean, comfy and cozy with everything we needed for a month-long stay. We had four guests: two downstairs on sofa bed, and one person in each upstairs bedroom. The town is beautiful and peaceful. Walkable with any store you may need right nearby. Definitely recommend.

We have had a really lovely stay for 4 nights at Karen’s apartment. The apartment is extremely comfortable and very well equipped with quality furniture, linens and kitchen equipment. Karen has thought of everything that we could need during our stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and fresh. The lounge and kitchen overlook the sea and it’s possible to walk straight from the property entrance to the lovely long promenade . There is a supermarket nearby and buses run regularly into Edinburgh. We would love to stay in the apartment on our next trip to the area.

A perfect location within easy walking distance to the golf club, Gullane beach and local pubs and eateries. The apartment was extremely clean and has been maintained to a high & modern standard.

fmGeorti & Yoanna's place was as described. Highlight for us was the closeness to Edinburgh, just 15 mins by train and train station less than 10 mins walk. Also the rooms were spacious and comfortable. They had lots of kitchen utensils and even some basics to feel at home like cereal, coffee, biscuits etc. This really makes a difference as you don't need to buy loads just for the weekend or bring them from home. They also has lots of things for our little one, books, toys etc which was fantastic! our little one loved it . Communication was great too, they got in touch to see how everything was going or if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. I would highly recommend their place and we'll hopefully stay with them again in the future. Thank you!

We had a great long weekend as a family of 8 in the caddyshack. The host kept us up to date with communication and the accommodation was well laid out and spacious for 8 adults, with each room enjoying its own en-suite. The apartment is ideally situated in the heart of Gullane but quiet and peaceful inside. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this listing and everything was immaculate.

Beautiful apartment with amazing balcony and views of the beach and sea. Spotlessly clean, modern decor and well equipped kitchen. Location was great for exploring all that NB has to offer. An easy walk from the train station too. We enjoyed fabulous dinners and would thoroughly recommend Osteria and The Rocketeer, and an enjoyable boat trip to the Bass Rock. Will look forward to returning again at some point.

I had a perfect stay at Angela’s place in North Berwick. It’s literally across the road from the beach and really close to local shops. Myself and the dog will definitely be back!

What a lovely find, the apartment was exactly how Sandra and Gillian described, the extra personal touches like fresh flowers in a vase on the window, milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine were a lovely bonus. Hosts were very responsive and thoughtful and the place was perfect. We can't wait to come back again.

Great location perfect for all amenities Shops, Bars & Restaurants . If you up for it you can always tackle North Berwick Law what a view.
