The place was great! We stayed for a while whilst we were waiting for our house and the place was great. Had everything we needed and more! John and his family were lovely and made us feel welcome. Thank you for being sick lovely hosts!

I stayed in "The Mess” from April to September this year, (while house hunting) and it was the perfect choice. The accommodation is spacious, clean, warm and comfortable, completely self contained – for anyone’s needs whether short or long – including the impressive laundry room! It has a small fenced outside space which I greatly appreciated for my little terrier. Being once part of a wartime nuclear bunker it is certainly quiet and peaceful! Day to day facilities are near by and it’s literally on the doorstep to Nine Springs Country Park with stunning walks to meander along (perfect for dog), natural springs, several cascading waterfalls, as well as a Cafe. Within the park is the Goldenstones swimming pool and sports centre, whilst Yeovil town centre is 10 minutes walk. The locality has much to offer, as well as discover the area’s fascinating history. All in all, Elizabeth and Richard (and their lovely family) were brilliant hosts and I simply would not hesitate to return!

I found Lucy's home an excellent base for my work. The farm is a pleasure to be around and the views are to die for. The accommodation is very comfortable and in fantastic condition to a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable it was a struggle to get up in the mornings. Lucy was always around if I had a question and the friendliest face one could wish for! All round - 5 Star Rating Highly Recommended. GW

We were warmly welcomed by Sarah upon arrival, with the lovely extra touch of some Prosecco and Florentines which went down very nicely after travelling to the stay The cabin was ideal for a couple of nights switching off from it all, very peaceful surroundings and all that you could need in the way of facilities We enjoyed a firepit on both evenings, and were lucky with clear skies which allowed some fantastic star spotting Being able to meet and feed the deer and Muntjac was a lovely extra touch!! We would definitely recommended Woodpecker Cabin!!
