A great little home from home for our whistle stop visit for a night. Comfortable, cosy and clean. It’s a great rural location and we were blessed with a view of the large full moon before bed time followed by sunshine the next morning. Perfect. :) Shaun made us feel very welcome and prior communications and instructions to find the cabin were spot on. Thank you.

The Stables is a beautiful place to stay, perfect for long stays also. It is situated in a lovely area. The house is wonderful, the living room is cozy, with a wood burner and the kitchen is well-equipped and spacious. Everything I needed was at the house, and any queries I had were quickly and helpfully responded to. Would definitely recommend!

I almost want to keep this place a secret; the most beautiful space inside and out, in an incredible dark field site providing spectacular night sky-scapes. Simon has clearly given care and thought to every detail of the cottage, which feels very remote despite it's proximity to Exeter (20-25 minutes by car). The bed room and living space are extremely comfortable and cosy, the water pressure is fantastic, and the small kitchen is appointed with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Simon is very knowledgeable about the area, kind and straight forward. We spent three nights over new years at the cottage, and can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a base to explore from and a little bit of magic in north Devon.
