Apartment vacation rentals in Douro

We got the place for one month. The apartment had all the basics covered. Comfortable bed, modern functional bathroom and kitchen. Everything was clean and functional. Curtains blocked off the light( for those sensitive to it) and windows blocked most of the noise ( but the street is quiet even though it is close to the park and restaurants). Having washer and dryer in the building is very convenient. The apartment is on the fourth floor so not for people with limited mobility but allows for the beautiful view of the river and sunlight. We had everything we needed inside the apartment. Location is convenient. 15 min to the São bento station, little Spar grocery store up the street is very convenient to get eggs, bread and pizza. Uber eats works great in Portugal and so is Uber. Mafalda (manager) was responsive to our requests and always answered within couple hours. We got change of sheets and towels every week. I recommend this apartment.

Great place to stay clean and stocked with everything you need. Particularly useful is the possibility of parking the car in a closed garage a few meters away at no additional cost. In a few minutes on foot you can reach the center of Porto. Absolutely recommended.

The apartment was just what we needed, and they allowed us to get in early which was so helpful. We really appreciated that they were able to accommodate us!

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable place, is close to the metro, bathroom is good and clean and beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend the location.

Very lovely apartment. It has everything you need for your stay. A very nice touch to include earplugs, because sometimes you can hear bells ringing in a church across apartment or a noice from a street. Also a big plus that there was an electric heater. During my stay there was a terrible weather, so without it could be cold. Also nice way to dry clothes after being in a heavy rain. One little minus was a heavy smell from a drainage in the shower. There was an air purifier but it didn’t do much. The smell was worst on the first day, opening the windows helped. Overall a very nice stay and lovely team. It was nice to have an early check in.

Paula and Vasco’s place was absolutely wonderful. We were a family of four (2 adults and 2 older teens) and the space was great for us. Vasco met us right away and showed us around, helped us park in the private garage area and provided a list of recommendations. When our daughter got sick, we were very thankful that Paula and Vasco were flexible with our schedule. Such a lovely place in a convenient area to walk to anywhere you want in the city! We highly recommend! Thank you again for everything!

We (5 adults) had a wonderful stay in Porto. Communication was clear from the moment of booking, and Marco was a fantastic host. He kept in touch on day of arrival to ensure he was there to meet us, and then gave us all the info we needed for using the apartment and great recommendations for things to see and do in Porto, as well as leaving us a few bottles of wine! He also made sure to keep in touch over the week and answered any other questions we had quickly and always in a friendly manner. The location is fantastic for using the Metro and there are some lovely bakeries nearby and a great local bar in the square. Also a choice of supermarkets within walking distance. The apartment is bigger than the pics show and was spotlessly clean with all appliances we needed. There is a lot of noise coming from the street at night, including refuse collections, but this didn't affect our stay as we loved the vibrancy of the area. I would definitely recommend this property.

We loved our stay! It has a great work from home set up, speedy internet and high quality screens. The house had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. It has a lovely private courtyard with amazing views to the River Douro. We go to Porto every year and this is the best place by far. We will be back!

My wife, our daughter and I had a great time in this apartment. We had enough space, a great kitchen and everything we needed to feel comfortable in Porto. It was only a 15 minute walk to the city. The accommodation was also absolutely suitable for relaxing days. The communication and handling with Vasco went wonderfully. He greeted and said goodbye to us more than polite and courteous. We had the feeling of being well cared for and welcome at all times. Definitely recommended 👍🏼 Thank you for the wonderful time we would be happy to come back.

Great place to stay if you are a family or small group. Loved it.

Great location, on a strip that comes alive when the sun goes down. Great washing and dryer facilities, large kitchen and everything was spotless! If you are a light sleeper this stay is not for you, the clubs underneath are open until 6am and it is almost impossible to drown them out if you are in the front room. However if you have good earplugs and sleep well then it shouldn’t be a problem.

This is a great base to explore the city, the square and streets right on your doorstep have great bars and restaurants. The flat is spacious, clean and quiet. Pedro was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any queries we had. This is definitely a 5 star experience and I'd recommend this airbnb.

We had a wonderful stay at Sara’s apartment right outside the heart of old town Porto. It was quiet and peaceful on her block and in the home but a quick walk to the bustling areas of Porto. Nestled by a sweet public park, plenty of great restaurants near too. Easy access to public transit and all the activities Porto has to offer. We would definitely stay again!

The setup of the apartment is pretty weird and unusual. This building has probably been converted to apartments from a warehouse or something similar. In the sleeping room there is a huge window to the thoroughfare to several other apartments so you will want to keep the curtains of that room mainly closed. The curtains make the sleeping room private despite of that. From the living room there is a very, very limited view to Douro river so beware that there are not unobstructed river views. Downstairs there is pretty much nothing else but a small hall to exit to the street passing on the gorgeus riverfront. I went having a coffee on the river front benches in front the apartment few times and the views are corgeus there. In the apartment everything was neat and new except for the closets in the bedroom which had sliding doors pretty broken so that one can't utilize all of the closwt space. All in all I still loved the apartment. The communication with the host was great.

I hadn’t researched the area well when I booked this home and didn’t realize that we’d be on the other side of the river from Porto. I’m so glad that I didn’t know as I might not have booked and we were thrilled with the location and the home. Being on the river was like watching a movie at all hours of the day and night. We loved the walks across the bridge to Porto and enjoyed the riverside restaurants and activities on both sides. The apartment is quiet and has very comfortable beds which is more important the older we get. There are stairs with the apartment on three levels. We enjoyed our brief times on the terrace and would have spent more time there in better weather. Isa responded quickly when we had a challenge with the washing machine and it was fixed the next day. She also showed me how to use the coffee machine, which produces fabulous coffee. It wasn’t difficult but I needed help. The place has everything needed for a great visit and we highly recommend it.

A very well-organized, hotel-style managed apartment that we all loved during our five-day stay. It was great to find such a reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable apartment in a bustling area. Location is perfect. The variety of entertainment facilities provided was a huge bonus. Every time we waited for an Uber, we enjoyed playing games in the pool room downstairs, which was a lot of fun. The hot water, which we were initially worried about, was never an issue. The apartment is also spacious with the high-quality furnitures. The kitchen was well-equipped and beautifully designed, though you need to provide your own laundry detergent and paper towels. Worth mentioning is that this apartment doesn’t require keys at all—it’s entirely controlled via smartphone for opening and locking doors, which is incredibly convenient. One minor drawback was that both bathrooms had some water leakage, leaving the floor wet after showers. However, it wasn’t a major issue for us.
