Family-friendly vacation rentals in Dorset

Honestly this is a hidden gem and is definitely hijabi friendly... We had our own private space, including hot tub and outdoor heated swimming pool. Keith sourced produce so that it was accessible, he helped us in getting appropriate taxi services.

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

Thank you Paul, Sandra & Sam for a wonderful stay at Mistletoe Farm to celebrate my Mum’s 60th birthday. Everything was exactly as we hoped and more! The bar, garden kitchen and party room were fantastic areas. We loved the hot tub, karaoke, log burner and twinkly lights! The Somerset evening was brilliant - welly wanging was so much fun and we all really enjoyed the cider tasting and hog roast. Thank you so much for catering for the non-drinkers and veggies in the group! Paul was always available on his phone if we needed assistance, and always made sure we were warm and comfortable. We really enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and living area in the annexe - this is a really cosy spot. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed a walk to Hornsbury Mill nearby. We would also recommend the 5 dials pub which is a 5 minute drive away - really lovely food, good service and a great atmosphere. The guests ages ranged from 2 to 80+ and everyone had a fantastic time! 🥳🎉

Had a wonderful stay, the location was absolutely beautiful - and the accommodation was perfect for what we wanted. And we were pleasantly surprised to find some breakfast bits to help ourselves too, an amazing stay - and would love to revisit again! ☺️

Great stay for our beautiful friends Hen do. The accommodation was spacious and perfect for the 14 of us. Gill showed us around and everything was clear throughout the whole stay. Recommend looking at the suppliers list which is sent as we had a lovely private chef as a result of this who was familiar with the accommodation. Hottub and sauna were great additions and lots of personal touches throughout the accommodation.

The perfect getaway, couldn’t recommend enough! Joy was so easy to communicate with from start to finish. The property was so cosy and had everything you could possibly need, even breakfast which was a lovely touch. Anyone looking for a short getaway, do not hesitate to book this lovely little place! :)

What a wonderful place to stay. The peace I sought was found, the relaxation that was so much needed was there and very much welcomed. Days spent walking in the New Forest were finished with a chilled glass of wine in the hot tub that was tended daily by a really lovely chap. The lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable with the basics of equipment there for your use, which is helpful. The whole experience is one I shall repeat and have already begun to tell others to check it out too

We found the property easily and we were met by Allan the host. We were shown all the amenities and outlay of the property including Hot Tub , with precise and helpful instructions. The beds were extremely comfortable with spotless linen. The property was spotless clean and boasted every amenity you can imagine. It was the perfect property and location for our family Christmas. Highly recommended.

Jo met us on arrival and showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed and then left us to our own devices. She messaged with good clear instructions ahead of time and was friendly throughout. Having access to the pool was great and our son enjoyed having space to explore and the toys provided.

We stayed at Crin's over Xmas whilst visiting relatives nearby and it was exactly what we needed. Communication was great with Crin, she was warm and welcoming. The property was great for a walk around with our 4 year old to burn off some energy.

The White House is stunning. It has so much character and we felt privileged to be allowed to stay there. The rooms are gorgeous and full of beautiful furniture. The bedrooms were delightful with the most comfortable beds and crisp clean bed linen. Within the house, there is a mix of old and new with a gorgeous kitchen with 2 walls of glass patio doors that allow you the best view possible of the cottage garden. There is also a collection of personal memorabilia in and around the rooms that kept us interested all weekend! Louise is a great host who met us there and showed us around and, most of all, entrusted us to stay at her house. The outside area is as pretty as a biscuit box and there is a flowing brook in front of the house with a little bridge to cross. The sunrise and views from the huge kitchen are so picturesque. We absolutely loved every moment at The White House. It was an experience we will never forget and will hopefully be returning one day.

Lovely house with plenty of space for the 6 of us that stayed, dog friendly so outside space was great too. There was a dog / recreational space near by for a longer walk. We visited the pub ( as Rubi recommended) really close to the house so that was easy ! The food was fantastic. Thank you so much ☺️

Lovely place to stay, Tess is a great host, and we had some lovely scones and some little bits in the fridge, kitchen was very well stocked and loads of fresh coffee and machines to brew it. Very clean place and found the living room comfy and warm. The bathroom was clean and located downstairs on the same floor as the living room and kitchen. The bedrooms are a good size and beds very comfy, the pillows and all of the bedding was top notch. I lived out stay here and would come back again.

This lodge was perfect! Great value for the price and the hot tub was set up before we arrived. Was spotless and was provided with all cleaning products that we needed. Bedrooms are spacious and towels were provided. Gary welcomed us on arrival and was very friendly. Would defiantly recommend, we had a lovely time :)

We had a wonderful weekend at Valerie's lovely flat. The place was spotless and in a great location. Lovely thoughtful touches throughout. We would recommend the Black Swan and the Parade fish and chips - both fabulous. The dog was well catered for as well!

My wife and I had the most relaxing time at the "Condo" it was a great location to explore, the property was just perfect for the two of us and had everything we wanted for the weekend. It was clean and tidy with a wonderful log burner which was wonderful to sit in front of and listen to the wind and the rain on an evening. Jacqui was very responsive and helpful. The black dog just down the hill was welcoming and does the best Sunday lunch. A great find!!

This lodge truly is a gem, hidden away near the top of the holiday park such that when you're looking out you barely realise you on the park. The views are spectacular looking across Swanage and the Purbecks and you can regularly see the steam train heading up and down the valley. Close to the beach as well as many other local attractions the location is again spot on. The lodge itself felt like a ski chalet, way more space then the photos suggest and also extremely cozy with very comfortable beds and some fantastic original beach themed art on display. To add to all of this is the loverly Judith, our host, who provided some very clear instructions to get to the accommodation and was then very helpful on things to do in the area as well as quick to respond; we felt very welcome! Truly a Gem tucked away, thank you again Judith!

We were a group of 15 friends and family - adults, teenagers and children - celebrating new year together. The property suited us perfectly and had everything we needed for a great few days. The location is excellent for the Jurassic coast beaches and Lyme Regis.

This is our second time staying in this lovely caravan. It’s always pristine and lovely. I always felt like a home away from home there. The bedrooms are a good size and the extra full bathroom is a definite plus! I’d highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic location for walking & exploring. The barn is beautifully presented and stylishly furnished. Very spacious. Loved seeing the Llamas on our morning walk with our dog - on our doorstep. The New Inn pub down the road - Victoria’s tip - awesome, friendly, great food at a sensible price - try the venison or brill filets! Our only regret was that we didn’t stay for longer. Thank you team Shalfleet Farm.

Superb little place to stay, very cosy, was lovely to find the heating on ready so all toasty when we arrived on November chilly evening after a long drive down. Nice little welcome basket and Milk in the Fridge too ! Great seating area to chill out and watch TV or have a Nap. We had a great few days just walking Berry Head and surrounding areas and some nice Food in Brixham by The harbour. Have added it to our Favourites list for potential return trip as it seems to let late in the year when we prefer to take short breaks. Defiantly would recommend to anyone asking. We had a lovely warm and friendly stay over new year. Need to come back when it’s warmer to properly enjoy the garden! Lovely location
