Vacation rentals with breakfast in Des Moines

Susan is a great host, welcoming you into her large ramshackle historic home. I especially love the front and back gardens. Nice white cat. It’s a social, down home, comfortable place in a great location. Another plus is that it’s and close to numerous good places to eat such as: Ingersoll Avenues’ Star Bar, Ted’s Coney Island, and Eatery A, and just 6 blocks from. Drake Diner and the wonderful Varsity Cinema.

It was very welcoming. The porch lanterns were on when I arrived in the evening. That was a nice touch. Lots of snacks. And the bed was really comfortable! Shelli was very accommodating even gave me one of her greeting card so I could use it. I would stay again.

Cherish's home is beautiful! It's a large, older/historic home in a lovely part of town. The bed in my room on the second floor was very comfortable - just what I needed on an overnight pass through town. There was another guest staying in the next room (sharing a wall), but noise was not a issue. The shared bathroom was conveniently on the other side of my room in the same hallway. The shared areas downstairs on the first floor offered spacious room for hanging out and are creatively/artfully decorated. If you love old homes, this is a great one to stay in :). Highly recommend!

I have only nice things to say about my experience staying with Lu. He was very accommodating for my late flight/ check in and all instructions were written descriptively. I felt that the basement was very spacious and he even provided amenities such as bottled water and snacks (which I did not expect but appreciated). Additionally, everything was clean and smelled nice. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and Lu was a friendly, communicative, and accommodating host. 10/10 recommend

We had a girls weekend. We loved the place, set up and vibe. Laura was a great communicator. We would return or suggest a stay here. The basement and backyard were a huge bonus to our weekend.

Ryan's place was just perfect! My wife and son stayed there for 2 weeks and it was just the place that they needed. So clean, safe and convenient. Also, Ryan was an incredible host. He was a super clear communicator who made the check in process so easy. But the most amazing thing was that when I had an urgent package of some medications arriving that I had sent for my wife, Ryan jumped in the car and drove over ASAP to ensure that we were able to safely get the package, and he delivered it to the door!! He was awesome, would definitely recommend and stay here again! Thanks Ryan!!

Shelli’s place we great! We were just there briefly but immediately felt at home - you can tell the house is well loved! The room was spacious and having the half bath was nice. Also enjoyed the baked goods in the common area and the blueberry wine. Would stay here again passing through town.

Ended up staying longer than planned because of a snowstorm and loved every minute of it. Very pleasant and homey surroundings, nice art! It's clean and very comfortable towels and nice sheets with a very sleep comfortable bed and surroundings, well lit and easy to make simple meals.
