Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cullowhee

Great in the trees home. It was a great last minute find that made our mountain trip lovely. Very good location for hiking and boating along Lake Glenville.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb with our family of 10, ranging from a baby to grandparents. The house was meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The layout was perfect, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out while still having great common areas for gathering. Every room was beautifully designed, so no one felt like they got the “lesser” room. The views were absolutely incredible, and we loved the added amenities—board games, foosball, a jacuzzi, and a grill. The host was fantastic—super responsive, helpful with local recommendations, and proactive in keeping us informed about a nearby fire. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this home for any group looking for a relaxing and well-equipped retreat!

Great place to travel between cities and visit Smoky Mountains. Nice, quiet area and the trails on the property were great. Rita's place had everything you need for a home away from home. It was one of the best vacations I've ever had, a beautiful and complete house, a wonderful and peaceful place, lush landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, I want to go back to the same place in the summer to be able to enjoy the lakes better. I recommend it to everyone.

The Honey House is lovely. I loved the honey bee theme. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable trip.

Very clean and quiet home. Our stay was great we had beautiful views. Sadly we didnt spend alot of time in the home as we were visiting family. Great vacation home if you just want to relax and get away.

My family of four really enjoyed staying at Todd's. There was plenty of space inside and nature surrounding the house, and it was close enough to the things we wanted to explore in Highlands as well as Cashiers.

Everything on our trip was perfect. The house, the location, the view—absolutely perfect. It's in a very convenient spot, with great restaurants and shops just minutes away. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and there were plenty of towels and hand towels available. The living room had ample seating for our entire group, as did the kitchen table and the porch, which made for some really relaxing mornings and evenings. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to rest and recharge after our days exploring. Parking was also a breeze—there was more than enough room for two cars, and you could easily fit a third if needed. What really stood out was the view. The photos just don’t do it justice. Stepping out onto the front porch each day felt like stepping into a postcard. It’s truly stunning. The host was fantastic—very responsive and informative from start to finish. We felt well taken care of the entire time. I highly recommend this home.

I'd like to thank Don and Renie for hosting us at their mountaintop house on top of Catamount Gap. The apartment was clean and wonderful in every way. The details and extras that they put into their apartment are most appreciated and all Airbnb hosts could learn several things from these hosts. My wife has already enjoyed our parting gift several times and is a special touch. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to book and stay at this listing. Very nice accommodations in a wonderful setting. Tough to beat value! We were very satisfied, and would return in a heartbeat for our next visit to the Leicester area.

The home was nice, no complaints, would stay again. But the stars here are the hosts. I was here for Hurricane Helene. The storm damage was honestly minimal compared to what I would later see in some of the harder hit areas, but I was blocked in by a small mudslide for just a day or so. The hosts happened to be out on vacation, but even through the cellular disruptions, they managed to maintain constant contact and coordinated assistance from neighbors. They took care of me like family.

This is a nice place to stay! very updated kitchen and living space. Also, very clean! we will come back again when we're around next time !

Perfect for the NP and Gatlinburg exploring. Very short walk to the action. The condo is nicely appointed and very clean. I mean… the sheets were soft and smelled great! Pillows were fluffy and the mattress was VERY comfortable. Kitchen and bath… spotless. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Thanks for caring for your property and keeping it updated and clean.

Barbara was super sweet. She was flexible with our late arrival time, made sure the heat and lights were on for us, even offered to grab something for us while she was out at the store so we wouldn't need to make an extra stop. She let us have our space, but was available if we needed anything. Her space is so cute, and her property was very peaceful! We don't make it out of town often, so when we do, we like to get out and explore, and we did so many hiking trails while we were visiting - it was so nice to have a comfortable and inviting space to come back to for our base camp after some long days.

The location of this apartment is perfect! We walked anywhere we wanted to go in Highlands. The place is spacious, the kitchen has anything you could need, and the custom closet made unpacking and staying organized a breeze! We would definitely stay here again.

Evelyn went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at a home away from home! She was flexible as we were arriving late, and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well! Every recommendation she gave was great! We love to explore the small local towns, and this was just great! We can’t wait to come back and visit again in a few months! This will be our forever mountain escape ❤️ bonus: my son loved all of the goodies Evelyn gave him & my husband got stuck in the mud, and they came out with their tractor to get us out!! A million percent recommend and can’t wait to go back!

I work remote and rented Damien's home for a month to disconnect and get away from big city life for a little, and it was the best decision I've ever made. This airbnb was perfect for me and my pup. It has a creek and hiking trail on the massive property which makes for extremely pleasant dog walks. I never had an issue with the Starlink wifi (and I had a lot of devices connected and take zoom meetings all day) while the home is super private and secluded, the town of Franklin with everything you need is less than 10mins away. No complaints about this house or homeowner, one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever and I will definitely be returning in the future. 10/10 would recommend!

Eric was a wonderful host. Directions were very clear and understanding. Although the thermostat is split , Eric was very understanding an adjusted as needed. Great location and get away spot for couples. Very quiet and secured . We will definitely come back!

This place is a great stay for anyone looking for a place centrally located in the Cashiers/Sapphire area. Easy and scenic walk around lake Fairfield. Great Mountain View from back patio. Easy access to Sapphire National Golf Course. The place is very spacious with room to spread out for the whole family and it is equipped very well. Roland is responsive and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was well. I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed for four nights. The views from this home are more incredible than any picture could capture. We stay in many rental homes when we travel. This is the most well appointed kitchen we’ve ever used. Communication with the host was easy and rarely needed. Lots of great instructions on how to do things around the house. And the space was just simply beautifully decorated. I wanted to spend time with my family in a beautiful home with a breathtaking view. This home did just that! Thank you for sharing your home.

Location was great with easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

It was good overall but it would be way better after construction would be done and I do not recommend grandparents to go because of walking on the hills, but other than that everything was amazing!! Place was clean and tidy, had hood communication with Hollie and the scenery and weather really helped us made the trip better..

We had an excellent and very relaxing stay, it was a birthday surprise for my husband, he was excited and very happy, the Cypress villa is very beautiful and the mountain views are excellent, waking up with the view of the mountains and the clouds in the sky is the most relaxing, and Julie is an excellent host she was always very attentive to all the details and answered all my questions very quickly, I definitely highly recommend this villa

Such a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting. Waves of nostalgia in every nook and cranny of this house. Our family thoroughly enjoyed admiring the pictures, decorations, books and furniture! Preparing meals in the kitchen was an absolute treat. We have never stayed in such a well-equipped kitchen. The serving platters, cooking utensils, cookware and glassware were enjoyed by all! The home was clean and so peaceful. The fireplace was just icing on the cake! Everyone enjoyed our family trip and we hope to return!
