The apartment was immaculately clean, very comfortable and well appointed and is in a quiet and secluded spot. Very easy to find and only a short drive to Windermere and beyond. A lovely property in a peaceful location, wish we were there longer to explore more of the area. Thanks for having us.

Garden Cottage is one of the best places we ever stayed at. The house was very cosy, clean and so well looked after. Our host had great attention to details like decorating with flowers and providing some food treats for us. It was situated in a great place, with plenty of walks nearby and places to visit. Our dog Cosmo made friends with Bertie who came for a visit everyday. We 100% recommend Garden Cottage to other people

We had a wonderful stay in Ian’s gorgeous house in Staveley. There was everything one could possibly want - the kitchen was brilliant ( I baked a birthday cake), the bathrooms were fantastic and the beds really comfortable after days spent walking. We loved the bakery, pub, chippy, pizza and butcher, and our girls spent many happy hours in the park. We did several beautiful walks from the front door, seeing newborn lambs and locals were friendly (giving us fresh eggs) but also headed out to Ambleside and the Langdales. Our spaniel loved it all. We are dying to come back and explore the local wild swimming spot. Thank you Ian!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma's place. The secure garden was great for our dog to roam whilst we relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day following plenty of walking around the Lakes. The cottage itself has loads of character but everything you need for your stay. We were fortunate to have the weather to make use of the gas BBQ. Emma was very welcoming and chilled with the fact we had a good run up and arrived half an hour before check-in time. Nothing was too much trouble and the fresh eggs were delicious! The cottage is just a 10 minute drive from Windermere, (20 minutes to Ambleside, 30 minutes to Grizedale forest), so whilst it's not in the throng of all us tourists, we benefited from the peace and quiet when we wanted it, but nothing was too far away. We'd also highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Staveley, just a 4 minute drive down the road. Hopefully we'll be back!
