We had a wonderful stay! Great location that is close to many things to do in the area. Unit was very clean, spacious, & had everything one could need. Quiet and peaceful with a nice balcony looking over the river. Thank you for sharing your space!

The place was great and it had everything we needed and the view was magnificent. Sharon and Anna were helpful and very responsive and handled a special request that made the stay very special for my wife and I. We will definitely book again.

The host we had originally booked with had some unexpected maintenance issues and had to cancel a few hours before our reservation. We were already on our way to NC and had to try to find something else, last minute. We requested to book with Carolyn and she accepted. It was such a relief to know that we were able to book and get things straightened out with our lodging before we arrived. The apartment worked well for us. It was clean and neat. Things were well labeled with clear instructions. The view of the Lake was beautiful from the patio. It was easy to walk to the water’s edge and our youngest child especially loved seeing all the “quacks!”. Ducks are currently the favorite animal.😊

This was honestly one of the most beautiful places I've stayed through Airbnb. High up over the rushing mountain river with the cleanest mountain air. It was a bittersweet trip, since we were seeing the impacts of hurricane Helene first hand for the first time. If you are considering a trip to the Hot Springs region, don't hesitate. Many businesses are still closed and the AT is still closed but the roads are open and safe and the natural beauty of the region is as stunning as ever. We hiked Lover's Leap and explored some options for volunteering with cleanup and restoration efforts (including for kids!). Monisha is a wonderful host and she can give you full details about exactly what to bring and what you can get while there.

I took my family to stay in the farmhouse the week of Christmas. The house was very clean and matched the description given. The heater in the pool was out but the hot tub worked. When I had an issue and reached out, it was resolved quickly. It is within walking distance of many things to do. We enjoyed the breakfast vouchers and drinks in the lobby. We also joined in the sing along and s’mores and loved it!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a small weekend getaway and this was the perfect match for us! We went during a snow storm, thank goodness we had 4 wheel drive! Cabin was nicely cleaned and easy instructions on check-in and check-out days! The host was promtly available for anything we needed during our stay, the creek directly outside the cabin was perfect, we caught tons of rainbow trout and had a blast fishing. The hot tub was a perfect touch after a cold day of fishing. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

What a view!! We have stayed at about 12 different homes around LKJ, this by far has the best views and easiest parking. Loriel and Adam are fantastic hosts…they were helpful, friendly, and quick to respond. The home was super clean and everything was well stocked from linens to everything you need in the kitchen. We plan on making this our new hangout for our yearly Christmas trip to LKJ. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We loved everything about our stay! It was the perfect location, extremely cozy and comfortable felt like home. Ashley was an amazing host and very friendly with lots of recommendations on things to do around the area. 10/10 would stay again!

The cabin was very peaceful and beautiful sitting on Alarka Creek. The private dock was easily accessible with pontoon. We had a week long fishing trip/vacation and it was an amazing time with my family. I will say if your driving a truck pulling a boat it is accessible but it can be very tight. I have a crew cab long bed chevy pickup pulling a 21 poontoon. I got in and turned around and backed down the private boat ramp but it was extremely tight. It takes some very strategic maneuvering to do it. So yes it can be done with a truck and trailer that long. The water was down a little so the water was too shallow to lift the pontoon off the trailer so i had to go Alarka Creek boat ramp to put the boat in the water.

It was the perfect place for a family gathering after Christmas at one of our favorite places. Only wished we could have stayed longer. We’d stay there again.

The place was lovely. We had a great time. The kids really enjoyed all the available games (and hot tub) on site. We had a group of 7 which was comfortable however wouldnt recommend more as the home is on the more quaint side. The view was unmatched and being at the end of the street gave such a sense of privacy. While the home is "off the beaten path" the additional time needed to get there from the attractions were well worth it. The home had everything needed for our stay which was such a relief when it came to packing. I would recommend the home to anyone looking to stay in the area but would like some privacy and easy access to the lake. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

What an incredible stay! The location was phenomenal! We were right beside the beautiful River, that I could just sit out and listen to all day. We even saw a blue heron (this was a highlight of the trip to me!) The house was extremely cozy and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The beds were comfy and the hot tub and fireplace were perfect for the cold weather! Jessica, the host, was extremely responsive, helpful, and offered great recommendations for local spots. We enjoyed the local breweries and food spots probably too much. Lucy in the Rye for breakfast is a must! We will definitely be returning!

I rented this for my Mom’s 70th bday girls trip & we all LOVED it! The ladies played in the gameroom, were in the hot tub, & had no complaints with their bedrooms which says a lot being that they were part of the ‘seasoned’ age range & are very particular. Alicia was very responsive when the wine fridge went out & brought us a chilled bottle of champagne for our birthday breakfast mimosas. Plus this place was literally two turns away from the exit & was so easy to find. You are right on the lake with beautiful peaceful views but just about 30 mins away from the action at Pigeon Forge. I would definitely stay here again with no hesitation! Thank you Alicia for making my Momma’s birthday such a memorable one 🫶🏾

We really enjoyed our stay at Sara and Ed apartment. Everything was clean, the location was perfect because the traffic at the city is really heavy at least in Christmas and you can go walking from the apartment to the restaurant and the most important places in Gatlinburg, just 15 minutes walking. The beds were really comfortable and the balcony was a plus because it is a good place to relax and drink a coffee with the sound of the river. We’ll definitely be back again.

We loved being right on the river with a view of the mountains. Also loved the gas fireplace since the mornings and evenings were cooler. Enjoyed not being in too busy of a place but it was so handy to whatever we wanted to do. It was easy to get to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg or the park. Great place for 3 couples to stay. We thought it would be a great place for kids, too, but we didn’t bring any :)

Condo was nice and cozy. We really enjoyed our time here. Condo was clean & had everything one might need. Great location. Tons to do around the area. The time we spent in the room was peaceful & quiet. We look forward to our next trip!

Nice place for a family of 4 or 2 couples to vacation together. Right in the middle of Pigeon Forge but off the main road. We did a lot of walking. Beautiful stream runs behind the condo.

It was our second time to stay here. Quiet, not all the hustle and bustle. Easy to get to attractions when you want to.

This is our second time staying at River Retreat. We can’t say enough good things about Jackie and this condo. She is the perfect host. From Booking to check out was a great experience. She makes sure we are well taken care of. Jackie goes the extra mile to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The condo is so nice. Always very clean and well stocked. We feel right at home when we walk in the door. It’s not far from the Apple Barn and the Parkway. We love the close location. The river runs along the back of the property with woods behind it so you feel like you’re further out. It’s very peaceful. We love it!
