Ashley’s place was exactly what we needed for our long stay—it was spacious and comfortable. Ashley and Amanda were very responsive and always went above and beyond to resolve any inconveniences we had. Looking forward to staying again when we’re in the area.

Hollow Cabin is the perfect getaway. The cabin itself is beautifully curated, and the space feels cozy and inviting without being too fussy or a place you'd be afraid to use the furniture. The view and sounds of the river are delightful. Jake and Eden were responsive and kind; they have created an amazing space! A note for those looking to take their active dogs with them: we chose this location because of the acreage and seclusion, but there is a fair amount of barbed wire in the woods near the cabin, and the space is only available after fording a stream that was roaring in the Spring (with no functional bridge). So, we ended up having to drive a while to find safe hiking spots anyway. There is also a beagle from down the road who made several appearances in the yard/porch, and while my dogs were chill, if you have a reactive dog, this would be a concern.

We had a wonderful stay here. We really enjoyed the beautiful views and sitting by a fire in the wood burner. The house can get cold in winter (we came in late March) but once the heating comes on and/or the fire is lit, it feels good! This was a great place to explore the local area. We had a lovely lunch at Double Up in Parksville, and enjoyed visiting Livingston Manor.
