this place is absolute paradise ✨ the millhouse is so cozy…we loved the constant river sounds and watching adorable ducks playing in the water from the many little windows. francisca & henrique are the best hosts, so responsive & sweetly brought us more firewood & firestarter for the woodstove. we had a dinner and two breakfasts there, which they bring on a tray to your door, and we really recommend for the true cozy cottage experience. lovely surroundings, cozy accommodations…this place is absolute perfection.

We can honestly say this was our favourite air b and b experience in the 15 years we have used the service. Jet is amazing, the location beautiful and peaceful and the village pure Portuguese. The room had everything we needed, the bed comfy, the views to die for and the hosts were first class. We had a great dinner hosted by Jet and Ronald…highly recommended. Our only regret is we only stayed 4 nights. Would have loved at least 2 more😀

Laurence and Jorge’s home provided a peaceful and beautiful escape in the Douro valley! The surrounding village is small and quaint with lovely views around every corner. The roads are winding, skinny and steep - no different from any other small town or city in Portugal. The home was impeccably clean, the Murphy bed surprisingly comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. A fantastic spot!

Beautiful apartment with plenty of space. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this location. The host was friendly and forthcoming. The house was clean and fully equipped. Fortunately there were heaters all over the place, so even during our winter stay, we stayed warm and cozy.
