The highlight of this apartment is definitely the terrace! You have a great view of the hills surrounding Castellamare del Golfo, and you can relax in the sun or even under the small roof if it rains. Cooking outside gives a bit of a camping feel, and while the apartment is quite small with basic amenities, it’s a great option if you want an affordable place in a convenient location with a lovely terrace. (Just watch out for the ants!) The location is a big plus—right in the city center, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. (We highly recommend Trattoria Le 2 Terre!) It’s also a great base for trips to the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the thermal baths at Segesta, and even a day trip to Palermo. Matteo was a friendly host who provided wonderful local recommendations. Check-in was flexible, which we appreciated.

Hello everyone, the place is very quiet, just right for anyone looking to explore the west of Sicily. After strenuous sightseeing of sights, Rocco's estate is like an oasis of peace and relaxation. I had an entire cottage to myself, including large kitchen and covered porch surrounded by a beautiful garden. I was able to communicate with Rocco in English, and each of my questions was promptly answered. At this point, I would like to sincerely thank Rocco's hospitality. I will be happy to recommend his property. Grazie Mille, Rocco!

The place is next to Capo market, on the edge of historical center. This was good for me as I was staying longer. On the other side was lots of regular shops of all kinds in the residental area, and on the other side was historical center with many of its attractions. Because the appartment is next to market, there is some noise coming from it from the early morning until the afternoon. I’m a light sleeper so I woke up in the morning and put my earplugs on. With them no problem. Then when I woke up again there was always happy banter, laughing and singing of the vendors which was a great thing to start your day. The cleaning lady came once in two weeks and was very effective. At least for one person the kitchen equipment was OK. There is not too much sunlight in the appartment which might be a positive thing in warmer months. I was in the middle of winter so wouldn’t have minded it. All in all, very good quality for the price. I was happy to stay in Palermo for 5 weeks.
