Monthly Rentals in Cairo

Beautiful home right on the river. Very private with a large variety of birds. Saw a pair of Bald Eagles with a fledgling as well as geese, seagulls, ducks and some sandhill cranes. Had everything we needed for cooking and plenty of room for all of us. Really enjoyed the dining area in the sunroof. Let us enjoy watching the birds and feel like we were outside without dealing with cold and wind. Great place to play games as well as eating dinner. Susie was very helpful as well with information about places to eat, visit and information about the Sandhill Crane migration. She was very responsive and went above and beyond. I also recommend the cupcakes made by the cohost, Michelle. I bought them as a treat and they were a hit.

We love staying here. After a day of running around it feels good to come to a place that feels like home to relax in the evening. Jerry and Sue are very friendly and live on the property so they are readily available if anything is needed.

Very nice remote stay. Perfect for our hunting trip and getaway.

Great place to stay at! Wood River is a great little town for a small town feel. Felt totally safe the entire time. Had a lot of amenities which was really nice for an 8 week stay. Host was a great communicator and proactive during winter season. Over all great experience!
