The apartment was absolutely perfect! The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Ideal location for exploring Bowness and using as a base for walking in the surrounding hills. Will definitely be recommending this place

Stayed for 3 nights over new years and we loved Hannah’s place. Great central location to Windermere and there are lots of shops & restaurants, all walkable. The place was quiet, well looked after and very clean. The bed was super comfy! It was just like it was described and very cosy. Hannah was quick to respond to questions and very helpful. I would recommend as a place to stay if visiting the lakes.

The flat is described in the listing as basic, I think, but I wouldn't describe it as such. The flat feels new and smart, it is furnished and equipped to a comfortable standard and is decorated simply but tastefully with attractive macrame wall hangings and pictures and there are lovely plants. We also liked the design of the crockery :0) The things that make it 'basic' are not having a TV or WiFi, I suppose, but other than that, which the owner was very upfront about, we found it to be superior to other places that we've stayed at in the area which cost more. The views, onto adjacent buildings and roofs, aren't great and many places in Morecambe come with a sea view which is lovely, but the prom is just a minute's walk away to enjoy. There are pizza restaurants just seconds away and all the shops on the front and a bus stop less than a minute away, so the location is fantastic. It's a good place to stay and quite a bargain! Thoroughly recommend it.

everything about this place was perfect, the space, the views, the grounds .... grange over sands is beautiful as a town itself, also a great base for visiting the lakes and morecambe.

Irina and Chris' place is very comfortable and the location is perfect for a trip to the Lake District - we came by bike and were able to find an easy spot to lock up nearby. great train and bus links, plus some lovely bars and cafés within a few minutes walk. The oven is a bit confusing, but otherwise the kitchen was really well equipped. Irina was really helpful and quick to respond to questions and requests.

Tranquil setting, lovely apartment and a great base to explore the area from on foot, bike and quick drive to lots of amazing hikes.

A beautiful apartment, ideal for our family of three to visit Morecambe Bay for a weekend. Very comfortable bed, clean and tidy throughout, lovely beach view. Easy to access and great communication from the hosts - there was a small problem with the TV and Alex was on hand to sort it immediately.

Absolutely loved my stay. It had everything I needed and was pristine clean when I arrived. The location is good only a short walk in the centre of Kendal and lots of nice walks almost outside the front door. Highly recommend.

We were here to celebrate a 70th Birthday and the Cosy Corner flat was ideal for our needs. The sun filled the lounge/dining area, making the place feel very welcoming. The comfy bed gave us three good night's sleep. There is a separate toilet and washroom basin room and a shower room with an amazing shower. The kitchen was well appointed and had lots of worktop space. Plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils, but we only ate breakfasts in the flat and ate out at lunchtime and in the evening. There are plenty of pubs and bars in the village, all within 10 minutes walk. Even a fish and chip shop and Pizza take away. We particularly enjoyed eating at The Black Bull, having the Taster Menu. A very smart dining experience. Also, the meals are good at the Dalesman, cosy atmosphere here. Real Ale at the Thirsty Rambler is top quality and less expensive. Cosy corner is ideally located for visiting the Lake District or the Western Yorkshire Dales. Or stay local and walk up Winder Hill. Bliss.

Lovely, cosy holiday apartment with comfortable beds, great bed linen and workable cooking facilities. In excellent location, 4 minutes from the railway and bus station and very close to all of the shops and restaurants in the town.

Excellent and cosy stay in a comfortable basement flat. Very quiet setting with lovely views from the door and a beautiful quiet garden to utilise. Walking distance to Grasmere and onto the hills. Everything of good quality in the flat and easy to access and park. Highly recommended

Sue was extremely helpful and friendly, meeting us out front, showing us around, leaving starter groceries, a nice bottle of wine and fresh flowers, and making great recommendations. There was a nice pub and grocery store just a 2 minute walk away. We all slept well in this quiet neighborhood and woke up to its beautiful surroundings. The kitchen was lovely to cook in and everything was super clean. We would love to stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at Paul's AirBnB. It was a great location to explore the Lake District from, parking was super easy, and the location was extremely walkable to local pubs and restaurants in central Bowness. Paul was a very responsive host, answering any questions we had promptly, and was also extremely flexible as we did not have a clear sense of when we would be arriving for check-in until several hours prior.

10/10. Me and my pal chatted in the car on the way home - we can’t find anything negative!! We did lots of walking and loved coming back to the house for the evenings to relax and read. The recommendations were brilliant.

Fantastic weekend stay......the flat is accurately described and shown in the photos. Communication was excellent from the moment we booked. Comfy beds, crisp linen and fluffy towels. We ate in and the kitchen had everything we needed. Log burner very welcome as it was typical February weather in the Lakes! Pub at Hill Top very cosy and welcoming. Queen's Head at Hawshead too. Really nice apartment, recently updated, in an unusual and interesting modern building on the hillside directly overlooking the centre of Ambleside, one of the nicest towns in the Lake District. A short, steep walk on a footpath down into the town and back up again, or a slightly longer, less steep, walk along the road, either way convenient and easy to find. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in the town, and of course the Lake District is world-famous for its dramatic scenery with plenty of walks or bike rides of varying degrees of difficulty.

Owen met us at the house . Made us very welcome . Showed us around the house and garden. The place was great would book again . Thank you Owen for making our stay so enjoyable .

We’ve just had the most amazing stay at the apartment with our 6 month old for our “mini moon”. The apartment was spotless, had all the amenities we needed and was in a great location - it’s a great base to explore Bowness and Windermere. The apartment is up a hill, but we found this manageable pushing our daughter in her pram. Julie was an amazing host with quick communication and even decorated the apartment with balloons , flowers, chocolates and Prosecco for us which was a lovely surprise. Would recommend to anyone and will be staying again next time we visit the Lakes.

We enjoyed our 2 nights break at Tom's apartment in historic Orton Hall. It had an impressive atmosphere in the building and the overall property and grounds were very peacefull. Just a pity weather was wet and cold. A good base for lake district shopping and exploration.

Luxury apartment with a view to match, overlooking Ambleside pier, the lake and mountains. Exquisite! Full use kitchen. Chaisse overlooking the lake is the perfect spot! Comfortable seating in front of large screen TV. Can't wait to come back!

We stayed in the apt for the second time and, like the first visit, we absolutely loved it 😀. It's like home-from-home - all the comforts but without the housework! There are lots of local walks and plenty of cafes/restaurants within easy walking distance so you don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to. Thank you for another great stay, Lesley!

Our stay was perfect, the apartment was spacious. The beds were super comfortable the rooms were big and we had a great nights sleep. The cleanliness was also really impressive, probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed, you can see the hosts put a lot of time and effort into making everything perfect. I also found the brochure to be great as it told us everything we needed to know about the property and even had some restaurant recommendations on there. Location was great, just up the road from the busy areas and in a nice peaceful setting. 100% will stay here again next I visit.

Overall the experience was very good, the place was very cosy, nice to be in, clean and located perfectly. There are some things to be considered however: 1) The location shown on the Google maps from the Airbnb application does not match exactly and you need to follow the instructions, otherwise you will be going round and round. 2) The house was freezing cold at 10 degrees. The heaters were working but it needed many hours to get up to a decent temperature. It would be prudent to heat the place in advance so that it is tolerable. 3) The wifi had issues which required me (after guidance by the host) to restart the router in order to work properly. 4) The bathroom had water condensation draining continuously on the floor. None of the above is a deal breaker hence the 5/5 score but it would be nice to improve for the best experience.
