Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Blue Ridge Lake

My family and I stayed at Gilbert’s cabin for the Christmas Holidays and really enjoyed it. The cabin sits on a large piece of land, so even though there are neighbors it feels very private. It was very quiet and the fire pit outside was the perfect place to stargaze. The cabin is only 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and there are also plenty of hikes nearby as well. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake!

We had a wonderful stay! Nick was so responsive any time we had questions. Great place for a family. Kids loved the arcade.

Very nice, canine friendly place in Appalachia. Lots of great hiking nearby. Scenic and peaceful setting. Home is well equipped and comfortable.

Great stay and very nicely kept rental! Located very close to downtown and easy to access wineries. Matt and team were very responsive and the booking process was seamless.

This has to be one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed at. It was exceptionally clean and the host thought of all the details. The light switches are labeled and sound machines, phone chargers, toothbrushes, disinfectant wipes and all necessary items for a little one(including Babyganics bath wash!) are provided, too! Staying here made mom’s first time traveling with her infant a breeze. It was equally reassuring how clean and inviting the place was. Highly recommend!

Very responsive host, amazing spacious house with gorgeous views! Kitchen had all appliances we needed. Outside patio had plenty of chairs and gas heater was a game changer!

Great stay with ample space and was easy communicate with host and check in. Nice amenities and about a mile to downtown area. Would stay again and would recommend!

Incredibly friendly and helpful host with a beautiful house located in a private area. Very short drive to get anywhere local, and a lot of nice hiking areas close by. I wholeheartedly recommend this location for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains.

Perfect place for our weekend get-away! The Cane Patch was truly one of the cleanest and well-outfitted units we’ve ever rented. Such friendly hosts that have thought of everything. If you are interested in renting a private, safe place off the Dahlonega square, but an easy walk, look no further!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Loved staying on an active farm, with all the animals running about. Meghan and kids were a delight. They made sure we were comfortable and gave us good recommendations for local eats/drinks. Also loved that we were able to make coffee and eggs in the morning on the stove. I didn't quite realize that the full bathroom was outside, down the stairs. Perhaps I missed reading that? It's a cold walk in the dead of winter! (Bathroom itself was warmed well by a space heater.) Overall lovely place!

David was an excellent host. He contacted me a couple of days before our trip to let me know about the steep driveway and the chance of snow. We did end up getting snowed it, but we loved it. The power went out at one point, and David showed up with lanterns for us while we waited for the power to come back on in the area. He was very clear, but friendly, about instructions, and had a lot of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do, though the snow storm limited the options due to business closings because of unsafe travel conditions. We are definitely hoping to stay with David again the next time we visit Dahlonega.

If I had to rate my stay with Greg and Karen it would be more then a 10/10. They are so kinda and considerat. My wife and I started driving up the night before so we can be in the area for early check-in and we got stopped by the snow storm. Greg and Karen reached out to warn us about the snow blocked roads. Check in day they reached out to us and kept checking in to make sure we were okay on the road. Upon check-in we were greeted by another lovely host Coco there amazing Chocolate Labrador, she is so sweet and loving. We will definitely be going back again, and we recommend this stay to everyone

So quiet and so beautiful. Cozy decor. Comfy bed. Snacks and oatmeal. Coffee on the porch swing. Lovely walk down a dirt road to see the goats and burros next door. Total serenity.

It was a blessing to be able to stay at Wally and Pam’s place. We were very comfortable and the place was great! Such a beautiful area!

This was one of my fav bnb’s the location is everything walkable, great restaurants, we drove once on our stay. Rose is the most amazing host. Responsive, accommodating, friendly, just a joy. Comfortable bed and surroundings.

What a great location and a beautiful place to stay! Walkable to everything! The only thing I would say is that it needed more pillows for the bed and some extra shampoo and conditioner. Other then that it was fantastic, I would stay again!

One of our favorite places we have stayed at!! Truly felt like home. Spotless and accommodating.

The place was clean, cozy, and absolutely exceeded our expectations. The photos don’t do it justice! The property was gorgeous and we even got to feed the trout off of the bridge! The hosts checked in on us on our first day to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking to hike, there are plenty of good hikes within 20ish minutes of the place which was super convenient. It was the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful mountain getaway. We loved every minute!

Loved loved loved this condo! We will be booking again and coming back with family. The bedrooms were spacious and both large with large bathrooms. Extremely spacious for two couples and maybe a kid or two :) the place was extremely clean. Only suggestion I have is to extend check out to 11 so you can get a reservation at the black sheep down the road on your way out of town! They did extend this for us and we were grateful!

There is one way to describe this condo—perfection! When we arrived we were greeted with jazz music and a beautiful downtown view. The condo is incredibly well appointed and comfortable! We literally felt like we were in someone’s home! The host’s are responsive, helpful and all around wonderful people! We’ll be back soon!
