Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Blue Hill

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! So cozy and so comfortable! The lake was beautiful and we made plenty of use of the fire pit and kayaks. Stephen was so kind and responsive and made asking questions easy. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Such an eclectic and cozy house! The house felt so homey with all of the fun artwork and decor, and all furniture was nice and comfortable. The views looking out of the big windows onto the bay were gorgeous. The house was very clean, the only thing was that there were a few spots on the dishes/cookware that were unclean. Ellsworth was close by for groceries (~10 min drive), and the proximity to Acadia was nice too (~40 minute drive); we spent a few days hiking the trails out there, visiting Bar Harbor, and sightseeing around the island. There were also some nice hikes around the house too. All around a really great stay, would definitely come back again (maybe when it's a bit warmer out!)

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming Airbnb on Mount Desert Island during the MDI marathon weekend with our family. The location was idyllic, nestled in a quiet, serene part of the island that truly captured the essence of island living. We loved how peaceful it was, yet it was still close enough to explore the famous lighthouses, adding an extra layer of beauty to our trip. Waking up to the tranquil sounds of nature and taking in the coastal views set the perfect backdrop for our marathon experience. The home was cozy, well-appointed, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was attentive and made sure we had all the information necessary to explore the surrounding area. This place is a hidden gem, and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy family time and make lasting memories. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the best of Mount Desert Island!

We loved our stay at Jason’s place! We had 10 total people staying for Labor Day weekend - 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog. We all had plenty of room, the house was gorgeous - especially the kitchen and living room! We used the pool, the lake (kayaks and canoes - lots of life jackets to choose from), the basketball court and were so thankful for the option to rent the pontoon boat! My son had a great time fishing. The neighborhood is very quiet. We also had fun checking out nearby antique shops one morning & going into Bangor one evening for dinner. We will be back!

Great house for our large hiking group. Comfortable beds. Being there in Dec it was too cold to sit outside but there are many nice porchs that would be good to hang out on in the summer or fall. Nice to have two living rooms far apart for separate hang out spaces. Very responsive hosts. The previous guests had broken the coffee pot and when we discovered that and called they immediately went out and got a new coffee maker. The pictures dont show the place very completely. There is much more to it. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Perfect location for our needs, away from the craziness of Bar Harbor (yet just a few miles away when we needed to drive in for meals) and very close to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time. Kevin and Donna’s place was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it together others!

Enjoyed hearing the clock tower ring on the hour. Bed was really comfortable. Space was perfect. Walked a block to town for amazing fish market, Simmons. Breakfast at the Barn door was terrific.

Very comfortable Airbnb, we loved our stay. The beds were great, the living area was really nice, cosy and well decorated. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. The coffee provided in the Airbnb was also great. We had a wonderful stay

The Nest was beautiful, well appointed, and the attention to design details went above and beyond. Pam has such talent in creating exquisite, comfortable and elegant spaces. Everything was perfect. Her muffins and peanut butter cookies are the best!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy studio apartment in Camden. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the town center, the harbor, and a variety of restaurants and shops. The beautiful library and other local amenities are close by, making it easy to explore everything Camden has to offer. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with convenient parking available on a side street away from any busy traffic. Inside, the apartment is charming and comfortable. The gas stove adds a warm, inviting touch, and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious for a studio and well-equipped. Overall, this apartment was the perfect spot for a relaxing and convenient stay. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the hospitality room. It was great to arrive and use the room for hot drinks and snacks that were free. It was good to sit down there after our long trip and relax before heading up to our room. I also enjoyed meeting the manager and cleaner. It gave it a personal touch. The location was very convenient because there was an open restaurant next door.

We stayed for our son’s graduation at Colby College. The location was perfect! Lori made us feel welcomed and at home. Everything was equipped and very clean. Lori communicated super fast and friendly throughout, gave us clear and detailed information. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

Nancy greeted us warmly upon arrival, making us feel instantly welcome. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking and offers thoughtful touches like muffins, coffee, tea, and bottled water. Prices are extremely reasonable. The space was exceptionally clean, spacious, and well-stocked with extra blankets, pillows, and bath linens. We will definitely stay at Nancy’s again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Pittsfield area.
