Super amazing farm stay. Had animal visitors all throughout the stay, a sheep who thinks she is a dog, a very friendly dog, a cat “Twakkie” who had us all wrapped around her finger. It was honestly so peaceful and quiet, was quite windy but the braai area was placed just right so that it wasn’t a problem. Lorika borrowed us her potjie which was very kind of her. We enjoyed the river as well, I bought blowup boats and we all just played in the river most of the day which was amazing. The place was also wheelchair friendly which is exactly what we were looking for. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle of everyday work/corporate life.

Staying at this farm house was an absolute dream! The picturesque setting with a beautiful garden and the best pool made our stay unforgettable. The highlight was definitely the hot tub in the rain – such a magical experience! The hosts were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, including a mechanic 🤗. Can't recommend this place highly enough! We will be back here soon and feel like we have made friends in an unforgettable place

Public review: Our multi-generational family weekend at Raptors cottage was just what we all needed. It is sometimes tricky to find a place to suit everyone’s needs but Sarah’s place had something for everyone, the kids, the dog, and the adults all had a wonderful time! The porch and garden were wonderful for morning tea and afternoon drinks. The proximity to local wine farms meant it was an easy walk/bike trip for the whole family. The pool was sparkling. And the lambs, sheep, donkeys and horses were adorable neighbours. Sarah and her team made everything easy and we wanted for nothing.

Our host Penelope and her farm manager Allan were fantastic. Very responsive and happy to answer all questions. The farm is a hidden gem, nestled on the slopes of the mountain side. The rustic look and feel is great for a weekend escape from the city life. The veggie garden and bird coop adds to the farm experience, fantastic for kids to learn a little bit about farm life. Thank you Penelope and Allan for a great farm stay.

Extremely happy with our stay, would gladly visit again. the surrounding trees provides perfect shading when in the swimming pool. It is a perfect location for a calming break from the city. Abre was prompt and accommodating regarding any additional requests/assistance we needed. Easy 5 stars :)

We loved our 3 day stay! Our chihuahua loved exploring the garden and it was well fenced. It has everything you could think of in the kitchen from spices to even an ice machine which was a bonus. The bed was very comfortable. Also to note there is a beautiful hot tub to enjoy as well. We will definitely be back! And a big thank you to Eckhart for an easy check in and out!

This place is a perfect for those wanting the tranquility of a secluded area, yet close to all the wine farms and happenings in Tulbagh. We really enjoyed it, lovely dipping pool and all the amenities you need. We will be back again!

This is our 2nd time staying at the cabins and it’s everything and more. What an amazing experience with the 360 view of the mountains. Absolute peace and serenity. Highly recommend this stay, alittle tricky getting to the cabin in a little car but doable.

We had a lovely stay at Janette's place, it's a beautiful building with high ceilings and wooden floors. The garden is lovely and there are lots of little nooks and crannies to discover.

We had a wonderful stay at Harmonika. Hadi was friendly and helpful, telling us exactly how everything worked. The views across the Tulbach Valley are beautiful. The weather was hot and a big plus was having a refreshing morning dip in the plunge pool. A definite recommendation.

Fabulous place. Arrived via the 10 mins dirt track which we knew about so knew we were going the right way. Place is like an oasis totally georgous, peaceful and relaxing. It was 32 degrees when we got there so concerned we wouldn’t be able to sleep but temp cooled down and it was perfect. Fans there if needed but we didn’t need them surprisingly. We had a power cut and Christopher was there instantly with lights to help us. It was only out for a short while caused by a tree somewhere else but it was lovely to have such a quick response - thank you. Can’t recommend the place enough

This is a fantastic location for a group of friends or a big family reunion. Ideal for children, safe to walk around and ride bikes. kitchen could be better equipped, and there needs to be some emergency lights otherwise a wonderful, peaceful place to stay.

A beautiful and peaceful getaway, lush green grass, surrounded by nature with quite a few things to do and see closeby. The accommodation is fairly well-maintained and has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay including a blanket to cosy up with on the porch. As a solo visitor, I felt safe and free to explore.

Lovely house, with everything you need. Big patio braai area with a big grass lawn. Great for a picnic. Saw a lot of springbokkies and horses through our bedroom window. Such a nice place to unwind from the city life.

Staying with Hazel & Alan on their farm was nothing short of spectacular. This was one of those last minute reservations with some requests and a few questions. Hazel was a star right from the beginning. Not only did she deliver on an excellent traditional dinner and breakfast but every little last detail was unflawed, truly remarkable. So tastefully presented. We all sat together at dinner and enjoyed delightful conversation, Alan is from the area and has lived and farmed here all his life, his stories were educational, interesting and fun. This is authentic farm living and I recommend a stay of 3 or more nights to explore the area. Who would have thought that leopard still roam selected mountains and valleys in the Cape.

Great little cottage in the bush with a small creek at the front. Very comfortable beds and host was easy to communicate with.

This is really a must stay! Such a pity we could not stay longer. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. Although I never met Cornelle she was super friendly and accommodating!
