Fantastic stay, we absolutely loved the lodge and the surroundings. It was peaceful and picturesque. Inside the lodge, it was lovely - clean, warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome bottle of wine, chocolates and milk were very much appreciated - thank you! Walked into the village on Friday evening for a super meal in the Bluebell Inn. Took about 15 mins and there is a narrow pavement all the way, but if you're doing it in the dark like we did - a torch is advisable (we used our phone ones). Virtually no traffic though, so felt quite safe! Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again!

stayed here while up north training my dogs, idyllic cottage, beautiful wood burner, private HUGE field to walk/train my dogs, and the best part of all for me is that they also understand re dogs/owners having requirements like dogs potentially not mixing so creating a schedule or a message re when you're out toileting yours which is a very rare find indeed, super flexible hosts when my plans changed slightly, so very welcoming and lovely people, could have asked for more, myself Puddles and Pyro will absolutely be back 😁 thank you again so very much 😁😁😁

We were visiting Gainsborough for a weekend event, and this was a perfect place to stay. Despite being next to a road, it was quiet inside, with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a spacious lounge. Good communication and some milk, tea etc provided ☺️ We hope to return in the future.
