Vacation rentals with lake access in Bayfield

The house is cozy and a bit small feeling if you're around 6 ft. but you should expect that with the older houses. It was easy to find thanks to the numbers on the house, the only thing we ever had any kind of issue with was accidentally parking in the neighbors driveway when we arrived, but they quickly corrected us. They were also very friendly about it so thats a plus. Joseph and his co-hosts were responsive and helpful with a flexible check in time, and there were plenty of places around to get food from along with plenty of places to visit in the area.

The entire stay was peaceful and relaxing. The description of the place was spot on. This was our first experience and we loved every bit of it. Will definitely book again. Would highly recommend the stay!

We enjoyed the cute house so much. Very clean, nice beds, it had many thoughtful items for us such as extra kitchen items and blankets, tea and coffee, salt and pepper. Great location by the lake. We were there in early November and had great weather but still too chilly to use patio or grill. It would be great to be there in different weather to use outside stuff. Lots to do and easy to get around. Great stay all the way around. Highly recommend!

I've been to many Airbnb and VRBO properties, bit this place was probably the best as far as peace and quiet goes. Excellent location and alot of activities to do while bonding with loved ones.

Scott's home was warm, welcoming, incredibly comfortable, and had a spectacular view of the lake. While we enjoyed our time dog-sledding with a nearby outfit and hiking along the lake shore near Bayfield, we loved just staying at the house and watching the lake from the various vantage points inside and outside the home. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the pots, pans, gadgets you can imagine. And we loved the incredibly large selection of games, spending a lot of time playing the large wooden Yahtzee in the cozy living room. We hope to be back again to enjoy Bark Point in the summer and/or fall. Overall great trip and would highly recommend.

Great place to stay close to surrounding activities! Cabin was as pictured and hosts were very welcoming!

I’ve owned my share of older homes, so I’m aware of the quirks they acquire with age. For an older home with radiator heat, this house was always cozy in the thick of winter. During our stay we experienced an active noisy sump pump that appeared to be frozen as it exited the foundation. The handyman was dispatched to examine the problem, but I think a seasonal thaw was necessary before a fix was possible. The bathrooms are well appointed, beds comfy and the kitchen had enough versatile equipment to make our meals possible. Spacious areas on main floor and second floor to spread out if you are a large group. We used this rental as a base while we went snowshoeing on the Superior Hiking Trail and spent an afternoon dog-sledding. Great fun! A mandatory meal with refreshments at Castle Danger Brewery was enjoyed as well.

An incredible space at the end of a private drive, overlooking the lake. The space was warm and welcoming, literally and figuratively! Loved the front sitting room with floor to ceiling windows to sit and sip coffee and enjoy the views. The proximity to the neighboring Houghton Falls preserve was enjoyed using the trail on the property. Peaceful, relaxing, made use of the large fire pit outdoors with the lake in the background. Close enough to town if you forget something and need to run in real quick, otherwise peaceful privacy to enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.

Joe was amazing and we had a great time with our two kids. Peaceful, serene, and the perfect space. He always had fires prepped and ready for us and you can’t beat the view!

The Outer Island Apartment was lovely as always. We enjoy coming up here annually for our anniversary and we are delighted each time we stay at Molly's place with a large covered porch, windows that show us the beauty of the great waters of Lake Superior, ease of parking, super comfortable king bed, a walk in shower, super comfy towels and robes, and a sweet kitchen space that allows us to prepare and reheat food, brew coffee, and chill our cold drinks in the frig. The Windseeker group is from our understanding, a woman owned management group and they certainly tend to their role with diligence, quick responses, extra touches, bright smiles, and a kindness that is a joy to experience. We will return, and hope they put us in the weekend for 2025 for us to celebrate our anniversary once again, in a peaceful and restful place. Gratefully, Kathleen & Brian

My family and I were very happy with: the location, the great water view from the balcony, the attached bookstore (a must visit), everything you need in Bayfield being within walking distance (including the ferries to the Apostle Islands & the Saturday morning farmer's market), the long list of amenities in the apartment, the cleanliness of the apartment, easily accessible parking spaces, and the quick and thorough responses from the hosts. Some patrons at the bar next door were laughing & having fun a little loudly outside on Friday night when we were going to bed, but the sound machines that were available in each of the bedrooms easily took care of it for us. (Saturday night, the patrons were quiet, but we still enjoyed using the sound machines.) We needed help with the airbed and the hosts took care of it promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

Impeccable apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay!

The location was perfect for our trip and the space provided everything we needed.

Great location near the lake, easy walking distance to multiple food & drink spots, and day-trip distance to multiple state parks. Clean, cute, cozy, and great communication from Patty. They even offered us to postpone our stay when temps were frigid, and upgraded us to a larger apartment for free when it became available at the last minute!

We really enjoyed Paula's cottage. While small, we loved the authentic feel of a 100+ year old home. Paula did a really nice job updating without losing that authenticity. The location is great if you love enjoying the beauty that the north shore has to offer. We took advantage of the beach that is within walking distance as well as the many trails that are across the highway. Paula was a tremendous host, being quick to answer our questions and offer suggestions. We drove into Duluth multiple times, which is about 20 minutes away. Highly recommend!

Very cute place to stay with everything you would need! There was plenty of free firewood, items for the grill, and kitchen supplies. Our stay was very peaceful. The cabin does have other cabins around but other guests were very quiet and respected the quiet hours after 10pm. Highly recommend for a long weekend get away.

This home’s location could not be better—it is nestled in the trees right on the lake and just steps aways from the ski hill allowing you to ski in and ski out! It was down a winding and hilly road that was easy to find with Marks instructions; I was grateful for the all wheel drive on our vehicle to get us there :) The house itself is also very impressive—it was beautiful, well constructed, clean and well stocked. Mark and his brother were super responsive and very friendly. We had a great stay!

Our stay was excellent. The Wi-Fi wasn't working but Aron communicated that prior to our arrival and it didn't impact our stay. The area is a spectacular place to spend your time. The kitchen is a bit small but had pretty much everything we needed. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.

wonderful stay in a beautiful setting. we were so lucky to catch the fall colors at just the right time. Every window had a view of something special. Debbie's place was beautifully decorated and very well equipped. we loved having the fireplace for colder evenings. Our host was very friendly and quick to respond. This was a place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Close to Superior for anything you might need with several close beaches on Lake Superior.

What a beautiful spot to gather and enjoy visiting with loved ones in the peace and quiet! The cottage was perfect, beautifully decorated with high end decorations and furnishings, filled with many beautiful natural and zen accents to help everyone relax. We all felt as if we were welcomed to someone’s home, it was so well cared for inside and out. That a home this nice would allow well-behaved dogs to stay is pretty incredible! It was literally the perfect place to just catch up and relax. Erin was also a fantastic host, she was super responsive and very kind! Hoping every time relatives come to the area we can stay here - would be great to try every season and enjoy what the outdoor areas have to offer, too! Grateful this home is being shared with us all :)

Linda’s place has a beautiful view of Lake Superior. Tucked away in a peaceful place. Very cozy and super clean. Location close to Bayfield.

This location is the perfect spot to disconnect and relax, feels like home right away! The host was very responsive, welcoming and made a late check in easy! I was so grateful for the slow quiet mornings on the porch with a book and coffee in hand. I definitely plan to visit again.
