Staying at ‘Tante Hannas Hus’ in Leirgulen was such an amazing experience! It’s the perfect spot if you love being surrounded by nature and want to feel completely off-grid. The house was spotless and so cozy, we felt instantly at home! Siri & Asle were absolutely incredible hosts and made our Christmas so special. They went out of their way to help us, even doing a grocery shop before we arrived since the shops were closed for the holidays. On Christmas Day, they took us on an amazing hike and let us cut down our own Christmas tree from their land. They even provided decorations, which was such a lovely touch! If you’re looking for a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path getaway with amazing hosts, this is the place. I couldn’t recommend it more and would love to come back! :)

Nice and homey apartment. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Great starting point for mountain hiking and excursions on the whole of Stadtlandet. Feel free to come back on a later occasion ☺️

Absolutely unforgettable! Our one-week stay in the small house nestled in the heart of the fjords was nothing short of magical. The setting was breathtaking — imagine waking up each morning to serene views of glassy waters, towering cliffs, and crisp, fresh air. The house itself was cozy, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. But what truly made the experience exceptional were our hosts. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly generous, they went out of their way to make us feel at home — from sharing local tips and stories to surprising us with fresh-baked treats and helping us arrange a spontaneous boat trip through the fjord. Their hospitality made the trip feel deeply personal and special. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly, highly recommended for anyone looking to escape into nature with the comfort of feeling truly cared for.
