Loved this place! It was super close to everything and convenient. Checking in was great, my flight was late and they waited for me to arrive late in the night which I really appreciated. The apartment itself was bigger than I expected and had everything I need. The streets a little noisy but they provided ear plugs which helped a great deal! Would stay here again.

The Mli’s are great hosts and their place is great value for money. I walked to the city center all of the time, it’s not far, yet the area is really quiet. In the street next to Terazasa road there are several cheap restaurants frequented by locals like the Three sisters whom make more tasty food than you find at say Pot and pan or other similar establishments downtown. Highly recommended! The highlight for me personally was the trip to Angkor wat with grandpa. He made sure I got to the ticket office, to the entrance, and that I got to see a couple of other sites. It’s more expensive than using say Grab but loads more convenient. I would happily stay here again. 🙏

Highly recommended - great place to stay while in Siem Reap! Heather and John are wonderful hosts. They truly care about their guests and are great at communicating. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Siem Reap!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Basket Homestay! It will definitely go down as a highlight of our month-long trip to Asia. Jacob and his family made us feel so welcome—it felt like we were visiting old friends. The homestay is located in the countryside, just outside Siem Reap. We stayed in an incredibly clean and comfortable bungalow with a huge bed and plenty of space. If you're a disc golf player, you'll especially love this location—Cambodia's first disc golf course is on-site! In the courtyard, there are practice baskets, and there's an onsite pro shop. I highly recommend ordering a meal prepared by Jacob’s wife—she is an incredible cook! If you want to visit downtown Siem Reap, you can take a tuk-tuk for just a few dollars. Jacob can also arrange tours to Angkor Wat. We learned so much more about Cambodian culture by staying here than we would have if we'd spent our time in the downtown area. It was such a special experience, and I can’t wait for the day we can return!
