Monthly Rentals in Bakkagerði

Really nice house near farms in a rural setting close to Egilsstadir and other great spots. We really enjoyed seeing the horses on the way in and there is no light pollution here for the Northern Lights. The house was clean and spacious and we had a great time as a family here. Wish we could have stayed longer!

One of the highlights of our trip, Ellen was extremely helpful and welcoming. She greeted us even though we arrived late, and gave us a tour of the apartment upon arrival. She had supplies to paint and puts up the paintings on the wall! The house was extremely clean and kitchen was fully equipped. She even ran over to inform us about the northern lights appearing at midnight, and we were able to meet the horses the next morning. This was by far the best Airbnb experience I have had and I will definitely be coming back next time I visit Iceland.

I had a wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy, clean, and surrounded by stunning nature. The peacefulness and privacy made it a perfect getaway. We were greeted by sheep and horses all around, adding to the charm of the rural setting. The location felt secluded, yet it was easy to access. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in nature!

I had a great stay here. It feels very much like home as soon as you step inside. The kitchen has all necessary utilities to be able to cook a homemade meal if one chooses to. The temperature inside was perfect and not cold. However, a nice addition was a cozy blanket which was really nice to wrap yourself up in. This AirBnB is disability accessible for people with wheelchais. It has a ramp leading up to the door and the bathroom is fully adapted to accommodate wheelchairs. Shower gel was not included, so be sure to bring your own. The windows are big and perfect to sit at and look at the northern lights (I was lucky there was a clear night sky). All in all, a very nice AirBnB and the price is absolutely fair for what you recieve. I can with good conscience recommend this place.
