We were just in town for one night and the stay was everything we needed! The hosts were very communicative and accommodating.

Second time staying at this host location and will use again in the future.

Jamie was very responsive and helpful. The location is amazing, especially if you want to be in the middle of everything Athens has to offer! VERY CLEAN!

We were there for a concert at the Court Grill. We were just a few short footsteps away. I personally live on the Ohio River so I knew the view. The building is classic River Town. As we were looking out the window just about dusk a Tow and Barge go by ( cue the boat LOL!). The facility is right downtown and well placed to shopping and eating. The town of Pomeroy has a charm of it's own and the people are friendly and helpful. Jeff

Awesome spot, In a tiny little town.. the restraunt thats maybe a 20 second walk from the front door is actually really good. Overall enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to book in the area.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved shopping at White's Mill right next door before we arrived. Nice location close to Avalanche Pizza, Larry's Dawn Haus, the Ridges trails, and Shrivers Pharmacy. Big lawn to walk our dog and perfect layout for the three of us. We will stay again our next time in Athens.

Syd was so considerate as to meet us with an umbrella because it was raining when we arrived! She is truly a delight and a great host. Her space is homey and welcoming. We would love to stay again :)

Wow, what a gem. If you thought time travel wasn't possible then you need to visit this direct path back to the 70s. Beautifully cultivated 1970s decor, nicknacks, linens, and especially the couch every family had in America in that era. Melissa and Steve were very welcoming complete with a hands on tour that you don't get very often anymore. We felt very safe and welcomed throughout our short stay. Bonus for the glasswear and Tupperware that I remember having on into the 80s. We will be back, great job and don't hesitate the book this spot if you are!!

Great place to stay in the area, because we didn't have to drive so far to visit friends (i.e., Athens). We were right across the river from them in New Haven and this was a perfect spot. Kevin recommended a great coffee shop and this was super walkable. We will be staying here again!

My friend and I have stayed here twice and enjoyed the space both times! It’s well maintained and nicely decorated! Beds are comfortable and bedrooms have no windows, which is a great combo. This is a lovely place to stay if you’re able!

Simply stunning. When our daughter first attended OU, we started looking up places to stay in Athens and came across Orchard Gables, but never had a chance to book it until this past weekend; which happened to also be our anniversary. The pictures and the description doesn’t do it justice. It’s one of the most incredible places we’ve ever stayed in - and not just the actual cottage which was perfect and rivals any luxury hotel - but the grounds of the main house that you have access to provided one of the most unique accommodations we’ve ever experienced. Although the property is grand, the intimacy of each manicured area and the attention to detail throughout the property are amazing. The host could not have been more accommodating. We were greeted with fresh flowers, a couple of small gifts, and a beautiful card. Our expectations were more than exceeded. The owners/caretakers of this property have created and now preserve something truly special. We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed at Idyll Reserve 5 (The North) for two nights in January and had a fabulous stay! 🌲❄️ The cabin was thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated, and very spacious for the two of us (& could accommodate a small family easily). It had all the amenities you’d need for a cozy stay — spacious, fully-stocked kitchen (with coffee & espresso maker! ☕️), comfy couch, living room with large windows & beautiful views of the surrounding woods, walk-in double shower & soaking tub, and our personal favorites — the outdoor hot tub and sauna! Laura was extremely responsive and communication regarding check-in was the best I’ve had with an Airbnb host. We could have easily stayed several more days. Hocking Hills State Park is just a ~10 minute drive away (we did some gorgeous hiking to Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, and Cedar Falls all within a half day). We’re already planning our next trip back with our kids! 🥰

This was the perfect place to bring in the New Year! The surroundings are beautiful and the space is perfect for a weekend getaway.

Mike was awesome, we had an issue with the other cabin I rented, and before we got there, he called me to find a solution. The place was awesome, very clean, very quiet, and he was very responsive whenever I had a question or anything. We definitely recommend going to any of his properties.
