Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Athens

We stayed a week in January 2025, and this is now our go-to first choice place to stay when visiting family in Athens. Easy, relaxing, peaceful, clean, lots of space. It made our week so much more relaxing than staying in a hotel.

Perfect house in a great neighborhood. We had the best time for our stay to visit our son at Georgia.

Tom's house was the perfect place to stay while we were in Athens. It was convenient to campus and downtown, and several restaurants were nearby/walkable. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and all the amenities we needed to feel at home were included. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Mary's home during Thanksgiving holiday because we have family in the area. The home was perfect - very cute, super convenient to get to Hoschton and in close proximity to shops and restaurants in downtown Brazelton and the highway (I-85). We always appreciate hosts that allow us to bring our dogs. We took some walks around the neighborhood and stopped by the local brewery one afternoon, who welcomed them as well. Mary was very responsive with communications, was flexible with an early check-in request and provided us with a helpful app to lock and unlock the door when the front keypad was temporarily out of service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to be able to return the next time we are in the area and need a place to stay. Thank you, Mary!

Was in town for a conference with a few of my business partners. Was very convenient to the Georgia Center venue! Very comfy and clean home! Highly recommend!

Jonathan's house was perfect for the kids in our group, with all the toys inside the house and at the fenced backyard. The neighborhood was also in a safe and quiet residential area away from all the action on campus (but still close enough) and close to a park with a huge playground. The house is also super close to a Walmart so we were able to pick up things we weren't able to pack and bring with us. I also appreciate the amenities provided such as towels (lots of towels!), shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, plates, utensils, etc. Overall, a great place and we're incredibly grateful for Jonathan's hospitality!

We stayed here for our son’s graduation weekend and could not have been happier. It was the most charming cottage with exceptional beds and the most fresh feeling interiors. We felt so comfortable and welcome from the communication to the well appointed space. The living room and extra accent chairs throughout the home that could be moved to add seating in the living room gave us the perfect set up for a gathering of friends to celebrate our sons accomplishments. We hope to stay here again and would recommend to anyone coming to Athens!

Great location near UGA Classic Center. Also close to greenway for walking/biking. Very clean. Loved the TVs/streaming apps with logins and appreciated the power strips throughout for easy charging.

Josh was an amazing host. He was very responsive! The place was great for our family visit to Athens. Bedrooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. Loved the noice machines and the beds were super comfortable! It was a great stay.

First, they responded almost immediately during my stay, which was nice to feel recognized I saw and visited with Brad a couple times, who was very friendly. Otherwise, they were two very different spaces at their home, and you can't hear what's taking place in their home. They have a book of recommendations of where to go in the city, a map of the university and a map of downtown, recommended local artists, Bulldogs postcards...Best of all and the reason I chose it, it was on the Northern Oconee River and absolutely beautiful. You can sit on the patio overlooking the trees and river, listening to the birds chirping and watching them swoop in to the bird feeder, and catching glimpses of all the wild daffodils signaling the first signs of spring. Absolutely amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful stay, Dorothy, Brad and your doggies!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable- I wish the weather was warm enough to take advantage of the beautiful balcony! Definitely loved that the complex was right next to the Greenway, a walkable path next to the river. Walkable to campus and downtown. Windy was super easy to work with- very responsive when we had plans change at the last minute. I'm looking forward to staying with Windy next time I'm in Athens.

Katrina's place was just as it was described! Nice, quiet neighborhood, clean, nicely decorated accommodations, everything we needed. From the soft, fluffy towels to the comfy beds, her place was charming. We would stay again. Highly recommended!

They had a great location to get anywhere around downtown Athens! It was very well kept up and had nothing that didn’t seem like it was wiped down and/or sanitized. Quiet area so you’re not disturbed by a lot of noise either!

It’s a smaller apartment. But, they really make use of the size. It’s in an extremely walkable location with many bars, restaurants, music venues, shops, etc.. all right there. Shirley was very responsive and was flexible when we asked for a favor. We would both recommend and enjoyed our stay.

From the time I booked to the end of our stay Sandy was very responsive!! This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath condo was perfect for our needs during our stay! We came to the area because our daughter had a Gymnastics meet but also to watch the Gymdogs competition as well! The directions were on point and took us right there. We love that it's in a gated, patrolled community! The condo was Very Very Nice! Both beds were comfortable and had clean soft sheets! The bathrooms were the same size and the water pressure was perfect! We loved sitting out on the patio when we had 2 hours downtime. This condo has a fully stocked kitchen but we didn't use it during our stay. I did however take advantage of the washer and dryer! This condo is on the 3rd level with only stairs, no elevator which was fine with us! Always can use a little exercise!! Each night we heard no noises and slept great! We Absolutely LOVED staying here and Recommend Sandy's condo to anyone! A++++++

We were in town to attend a concert at the Georgian Theater and it was a quick Uber ride away with many great options for food nearby! The place was clean and Nanda was very responsive to our questions.

Perfect location for a wedding we attended at the Botanical Gardens. Everything at the condo was just as described in the listing. Would recommend.

Excellent stay. Everything was clean and as described. I was highly satisfied with the location to downtown. My son was staying near campus for an event so going to and from the kids hotel to the Classic Center was super convenient and fast. All appliances worked and the kitchen is stocked with all the essentials to cook and clean up. The beds are super comfy and, while I’m not really a stay in and veg kind of person, it was rainy and cold so was grateful for a TV with a gazillion available channels and streaming options. Will definitely stay again if in Athens.

This is my second time staying at Nayla’s condo. Every time I travel with my daughter for Volleyball to Athens this is my favorite place to stay. Nayla is kind, responsive and friendly. Her condo is clean and has all the listed amenities. I’ll definitely stay again if my daughter’s Volleyball team brings me to Athens!
