Very nice cabin, we enjoyed it very much

This is our second stay at lazy bayse! We love this house. It is so well equipped and our kids love the golden tee, hot tub, fuse ball, and video games. The beds are all comfy and the house is stocked with everything you need. The owners are extremely responsive also!

Such a beautiful location with a wonderful view, I came for a staycation just for the night and it was absolutely worth it and exactly what I was looking for. I can’t wait to come back in the warmer months!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake house! Despite some rainy weather, the location and ambiance were absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was spacious, well-equipped, and offered stunning views of the lake. My son and wife completely loved the jacuzzi * Our family enjoyed every moment, from the cozy indoor spaces to the serene outdoors. The hosts were incredibly kind and even allowed us to extend our stay by an extra day, which made our time there even more memorable. We highly recommend this place and hope to return in the future.

Everything was very nice. The host was welcoming and respectful. We saw the tortoise, which was a novel treat. The view up in the forrested mountains is beautiful, and the accomodations were lovely. A very comfy couch and cozy kitchen area for breakfasts goes well wish the gracious sleeping area. We had a little bit of trouble finding a way to immerse ourselves in total darkness for sleeping, but everything felt so homey that was hardly an issue. Overall, a great place to stay with a very kind host and plenty of room to enjoy your time there.

Stunning views from a cabin nestled in the Shenandoah mountains! I wanted a cabin getaway where we were away from town/city with not too many people around where it felt like I was fully immersed in nature. This cabin gave me and my friends exactly that. It was quaint and the area was quiet. Could’ve sat on the porch all day taking in the views. Don’t underestimate the drive up the steep hill to the cabin. This was fine in late March but couldn’t imagine doing it with snow on the ground, at least not without the right equipment. Loved chilling in the hot tub at night. Couldn’t figure out the fire table and it was too windy to try to start a real fire. But the kitchen was well prepared enough that we made s’mores in the oven instead.

Our family enjoyed our too short of a stay over the thanksgiving holiday! This beautiful home provided all the essentials and space we needed to have a beautiful Thanksgiving feast to enjoy with family! The 2 ovens came in handy to heat our meal. We also had a short drive to enjoy hiking at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Would be a beautiful place to stay and visit in the warmer months as well.

This is a perfect mountain retreat for those looking to get away for peace and quiet. The views are spectacular, especially at sunset. Tim was great with Communications and responded quickly to any questions/concerns we had. Rich, the property manager, was awesome and checked in to make sure we settled in fine our first night and was only a call away if there were any issues. You're very close to Luray and Skyline Drive. There are also so many things to do at the house if you're just looking to stay in, especially during the colder months. It was just a couples trip this time but I would definitely bring my children here. Highly recommend!

This home was beautiful, wonderful, and relaxing. The view from the house is so gorgeous and secluded. You really feel like you are on vacation. Of course our host was responsive and proactive. But as a busy mom with two little kids I have to highlight how particularly child friendly this home is! We stayed upstairs which has 2 bedrooms with a jack and Jill bath in between. My boys loved having two single beds at a height they could easily get into and I loved not worrying about them falling out of a gigantic bed. There were toys in the chest of their room with working batteries! Unreal! There was a mini table and chairs. Games and books spanned multiple ages and both my 4 yo and my 6 yo found games to play. My kids are sensitive to cold water (the little one turns blue!) and the heated pool was a HUGE hit. We never even made it to using the kayaks because the kids just wanted to be in the pool. There were even pool toys. I am running out of characters for this review! We will be back!
