Vacation rentals in Alpine Shores

Received an email before check in with clear instructions on how to enter. Cabin was super clean and had everything we needed inside. Decorated so cute. Hot tub worked great. We went just to get away for a few nights close to home and this was perfect. Thanks so much!

Second time staying at one of Dave's properties. Everything here is outstanding. I would stay at any of Dave's properties again. Everything you need and didn't know you needed is here. Tons of amenities and great accommodations. Excellent communication. Dave and Destine are great host.

WOW!!!! We travel to Dalton Ga 4-5 times a year and always say we’re going to stop one night in Mentone. Well we finally did and we are soo happy we chose the Birch Perch!!!! This place is ABSOLUTELY beautiful and it’s soo serene. Clean, Comfortable and the bed was wonderful!!! We was only there for a night but was able to chase a few waterfalls, eat at The Wildflower for dinner(a must) and breakfast at The Hatter (another must). We can’t wait to plan a trip back to spend a few days!!!

We enjoyed getting away and being around some water all weekend. We fished, kayak, swam in the lake and grilled out ! We loved the porch swing as we even took a nap after a long day in the sun! The details and decor of this cabin were absolutely beautiful & didn’t go unnoticed! We caught several brim, a couple crappie and a few catfish! We definitely can’t wait to go back! Our last day there stormed all day and we loved that we were able to still get some fishing in straight off the front porch thank you so much for having us!

The cottage was a lovely rustic, beautifully decorated, comfortable home for our stay. She has decorated this small home with exquisite antique furniture. Everything is arranged with the user's needs in mind. I loved the extra comfortable wing back chairs by the gas fireplace, coziness of the bedroom, and utility of the bathroom as well. Linens fresh, high quality, and with a plush down comforter on the bed. The mattress was comfortable too. Living room daybed had lovely linens and a great mattress too. The kitchen has all that one would need. There is no stove but there is a hotplate for anyone who is interested. Darlene has a coffee station set up on a marble topped credenza in the living room Such a nice touch. That and the fresh flowers that were on a table. The grounds are quaint and charming; a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. I would definitely return if I go back to Ft Payne.

Very nice cabin on the Brow. One thing I look for in a cabin rental is a wood burning fireplace. Gas logs are becoming commonplace in rentals, but nothing beats a real fire. The fireplace draws nicely, and including firewood for the stay is a nice feature. Although there was fog and rainy weather the entirety of my stay, I can imagine the views are very nice, especially in winter. Host was very communicative, instructions were clear, and I had no reason to reach out with questions or requests.

We absolutely LOVED staying at Valhalla! It was exactly what we were needing in our life. We definitely plan to come back!
