Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Allegany County

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a short stay, but we would definitely stay here again. We loved the record player and records to choose from. The home was very clean and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We highly recommend this place.

We loved our weekend stay at the Farmhouse with our dog. Rachelle provided very clear instructions that made it easy to find and access the home. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, pots and pans, sharp kitchen knives, spices, etc, and Rachelle even provided extra dog items like food and water bowls and poop bags. The place is spotless and the couches and bed were very comfortable. The property is really pretty - a cherry and magnolia tree and some spring wildflowers were blooming. We spent a lot of time on the porches listening to and watching the birds and listening to the spring peepers. We loved being so close to the C&O Towpath trail too. We look forward to visiting again!

Kay is the best host. We didn't need anything from her during our stay, the instructions we were given were sufficient. Even better, the house had EVERYTHING we could have thought we might need. Instead of the typical rental with bare essentials, Kay's place was truly like home because there were all of the little things you might want when putting together a meal or getting yourself together to face a day. We will absolutely be staying here for future Cumberland visits.

Perfect place for a getaway and relaxation! Just outside of Cumberland if you wish to shop or go to dinner, but far enough away to just relax! Such a gorgeous home, and Rachel leaves some amazing food recommendations in her little booklet! I would stay here again easily!

We were in the area for a weekend football tournament. Most other parents got hotel rooms and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to book this airbnb!! The bang for your buck is remarkable! The extra amenities that have been thought about to make sure you are taken care of were seriously appreciated! My teenage son loved the feel of the place! He was very intrigued with all the paintings! The vibe definitely made him super comfortable! Oh and the ease of communication and flexibility with Roman was the cherry on top! Thank you for a pleasant stay!!

Super hosts great space and stay

One of the best hosts I’ve stayed with, and great apartment that met all my needs. Host was very responsive, with fast replies and great service. Going above and beyond when there was any issue. I was here for a long term stay and the apartment met all my needs! Great kitchen for cooking, nice living area for relaxing, and clean bedroom and bathroom. It’s also very conveniently located walking distance to downtown with many great restaurants / eateries of all varieties. The back porch is also a nice touch as it’s quite spacious. Would definitely recommend staying with this host!

My husband, 2 teens and i just returned from a stay at the home. We had a great time just hanging out, hiking and enjoying the fire pit. The home was very clean, stocked well, private and beautifully decorated. Thought i would share a tip since grocery stores are pretty far away….instacart delivers to the home! It was nice to check in, put groceries away and be set for the trip!

We explored many of the nearby state parks for cross country skiing and were not disappointed, some groom the trails in winter, and there was plenty of snow during our visit. We were very happy to come home to Erin's at the end of an active day. The living room was cozy and the kitchen was well stocked. We slept well in the quiet back room. We look forward to a return stay.

Steeple View was a lovely AirBnB and Kathyren was a lovely host. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There were lots of very thoughtful touches. The downtown location was lovely, and all of the restaurants and shops were within short walking distance. We would definitely stay again. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Wes was friendly and quick to problem solve and answer questions. Neighborhood was quieter than I expected so that was great. (I did turn on some white noise because I am a light sleeper.) I appreciate there being no cleaning fees and the checkout instructions being only a few things to do. Oh, and having the cafe directly below was so convenient. I picked up breakfast and lunch to go.

This apartment is full of charm, nestled in a beautiful historic home with so much character. As expected with an older house, some aspects show their age, but everything is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. If you love unique stays with personality rather than something ultra-modern, this is a fantastic choice. The decor was relaxing and the space has everything you need for a long or short stay. Historic Washington Street is quiet and beautiful, showcasing history and walkable to most downtown Cumberland locations. It was a comfortable space for a week and well worth the price. Love was proactive and made several recommendations for local attractions, and even brought up muffins for my final morning before checking out. For light sleepers, there are trains that run through Cumberland a few times a day, but they are easily drowned out by white noise or ear plugs. I would absolutely recommend Love's place, especially if you appreciate architecture and historic homes!

This was our second time staying with Valerie! We have family in the area, but value our privacy when we're up for a visit. Valerie's place was a good find for us. We're hoping it'll always be available when we're in the area!

We found the space on Race to be just what we needed for the motivation to get up and go to our daily bluegrass festival at the fairgrounds. If you needed something last minute, the Dollar Tree was a quick walk down the hill. The kitchen was perfect for morning coffee and eating routines. The couches were comfortable and the WiFi worked fine. All in all, this was a good location to suit our needs.

We loved staying in this condo! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Will definitely be recommending this place to others.

Perfect home in Cumberland! Loves home was exactly as described, and fit our four adults well! Very clean, safe area, and very easy to enjoy all the new things happening in downtown. Love even gave us some great dinner options in the area. This is seriously a beautiful Victorian home and I’m excited to see all the plans they have come to be in the future!! We will be back again when passing through! Oh..and the muffins that Love left for us as a little surprise were sooo good and extremely thoughtful!
