We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at Shaly’s apartment. The place was squeaky clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. We absolutely loved the apartment and felt right at home. Shaly was incredibly sweet and prompt in guiding us with everything we needed during our stay. Thank you for being such a lovely host! We’re definitely looking forward to staying here again the next time we visit.

The entrance to the house is a grill with only one lock. That could be a big problem for those concerned about security. Another major problem was dust. It's not that it wasn't clean, but there was a terrible dust problem. There was dust on the sofa, inside the house, on the floor, and everywhere. Ongoing road construction nearby might have contributed. May not be the same when someone else visits some other time. Attached bathroom is in one room only. And another bathroom is outside the house. Everything else was good. Like, as soon as we mentioned about the dust, they came and cleaned. Always available on phone. It is an easily accessible place with good transportation facilities. Also, It was on the ground floor, so it's convenient for the elderly, those with walking difficulties, and those who have difficulty climbing stairs. Highlight: The host was very welcoming and friendly.

Biji's place was one of the best experiences I have had in my life, and I think the others in our group of 7 would agree. You must stay here: the place is literally on the Kallada river, a boat can come pick you up from the house and take you on a mangrove tour, and you can even swim just by getting down a few steps. The setting is unbeatable. The house itself seemed all brand new, modern, very comfortable. Even the roof was beautiful, but my favourite feature was the ample 2 porch areas with fans, we basically sat outside the entire time to enjoy the views. Clean, gorgeous, and serene, this place is a must-stay. A lovely lady cooked delicious meals for us for a small extra charge, making the stay even better. Biji's hospitality went beyond all this, he even managed to find a gluten-free cake for our friend's birthday, in addition to helping us arrange cabs and boat ride. Many thanks for this unforgettable stay, Biji. We truly felt we were in God's Own Country.

Our host was jolly and help full . Made us feel at home. Property itself is right on the beach with beautiful sun set and turquoise green water . Unfortunately waves were rough and beach bit steep for us to take a bath but nonetheless sitting and watching sea and its wastness right from the comfort of the home is what I liked most. The house has a kitchen a fridge ,stove , dinning, hot water , big campus and Security camera.

A welcoming entryway features a wooden console table with a mirror above it. An aquarium with fish is positioned against a backdrop of decorative wood paneling. Potted plants add greenery, and a circular artwork hangs on the wall, contributing to a serene atmosphere.

Its an excellent place for friends and family to have a relaxed weekend. This property is well thought and planned to have a positive energy, especially the garden lights at night are brilliant. Me and my friends was here for 2 days, we enjoyed a lot, great hospitaliy by the caretaker.

A spacious living area is presented with a combination of dark wooden furniture and light-colored walls. Seating arrangements include two armchairs and a sofa, inviting relaxation. A large television is mounted on one wall, and decorative plants are placed on stylish stands throughout the room.

The property was nice and clean. We were a family of 10 and it was pretty spacious for us. Noel was very responsive and friendly, and he provided early check in which helped us a lot. Only caveat is that the property is located on a very narrow downward slope, which might be difficult to get to and park inside the property, especially on bigger vehicles.

It was an amazing stay very close to the Padmanabha swamy temple (~4kms) Very cleanly maintained property and makes you feel right at home. Clean Lenin, house smells amazing , good furniture and all electrical equipment is in great condition. 10/10 would recommend and is definitely my go to choice when I visit the city again.

It’s a great place with a great host. The host Sanjeev is a nice guy treats guests really well. He suggests really good places, take his suggestion. Boat rides good cafés. The place is really clean with a beach which is just 150 meters with a great view. You can tell him about the food you want 3 - 4 hours prior. The home food provided as breakfast was awesome. I really recommend this place. You can party in the balcony with decent music. The vibe is good. Overall experience is 10/10 top notch.

We had a wonderful stay at Babu's place! The space was clean, cozy, and beautifully surrounded by greenery. Everything was well-organized, and the amenities were just as listed. The location is perfect—close to beaches, great cafes, shopping spots, and surf schools, making it easy to explore Varkala. Renting a two-wheeler is a great idea if you want to venture further. Babu is incredibly friendly and always just a call away if you need anything. We’d love to stay here again on our next visit to Varkala!

The place could've done with a bit of trimming of the plants in order to allow a better view of the lagoon and a washroom at a closer vicinity to the camp. Else, this place is actually perfect.

Josh is an exceptionally responsive and welcoming host, always quick to reply and eager to assist. He went above and beyond by recommending some fantastic local spots and activities, which really enhanced my trip. One of the highlights was the kayaking experience he helped arrange—it was unforgettable! The location itself is perfect, peaceful yet close to everything. "A Home Away from Home" From the moment we stepped in, we felt completely at home. The way the apartment was arranged showed so much care—everything was in place, making our stay effortless and comfortable. We loved the added air cooler in hall,it really made relaxing in Kerala’s heat manageable. One of our favorite spots was the beautiful balcony—the perfect place to watch the sunset and enjoy the clouds rolling by. The big-screen TV with great internet and extra speakers made our cricket match and movie nights extra special! It truly meant a great deal to us. The prayer space with a very beautiful English Bible and a small book collection for all age groups added to the cozy vibe.The well-stocked essentials and every little detail made it feel as if we were never away from our home. A huge thank you to Mr.Terry for creating such a warm and thoughtful space. If you’re looking for comfortable and a truly homely experience, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back❤️

We loved this place from the moment we got to the apartment. it was peaceful and quiet with a large balcony to sit and enjoy the birds and unwind. it's about a 7 minute walk from the action on the cliff but we preferred it thst way. The kitchen was functional and overall the apartment was super clean. bed was very comfy! Suji was very helpful in answering any questions we had and ordered a rickshaw for us at 6;30 am in the morning to take us to the train station. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I—both musicians—came to Kaayal in Varkala for a secluded retreat to make music, and what we experienced went far beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Nobby, the gracious host, who made sure we felt at home and fully taken care of. The property itself is an absolute gem—nestled by the lake, surrounded by nature, and so serene that we woke up each morning to the sounds of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves. The view of the lake alone is enough to calm your soul and inspire creativity. Special shoutout to Vicky and Kichu, the incredible caretakers who went above and beyond to make our stay effortless and joyful. Whether it was delicious home-cooked meals, piping hot tea within minutes of asking, or just being on standby for anything we needed—they made sure we could focus on what we came to do. The house was spotless, and the bathroom looked like something straight out of an architecture magazine. Highly recommend this Air BnB!
