WhiteSandy Beach Lodge-Private Double OceanCottage

My host family was so nice. We enjoyed Kava together. Her husband played beautiful music on the guitar. The place was very simple but cleaned. They made sure I was comfortable as I was traveling alone. They also have a adorable son who is so polite. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a true Fiji Experience.

Ocean View Eco-Cabin in YASAWA PARADISE!

FelixRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a very special 6 days at Sunrise Lagoon Homestay. Lice and Jo were fantastic hosts and it was awesome to meet their family. The location is beautiful and within walking distance to the Blue Lagoon. The island hopping trip, snorkelling and spearfishing were all highlights. The rooms were very basic but a perfect place to escape and relax. For Christmas, they arranged for us to take part in a celebration in the local village, which was a great experience. If you are looking for a luxury resort, this is not the place for you! However, if you want a truly authentic slice of Fijian life in the Yasawas (and great food), you’ll love this place as much as we did! Vinaka Lice and Jo!

Privacy & Seclusion - Your Own Beachfront Retreat

RachaelRating, 5 stars5 months ago
There aren’t enough words to say how special this stay was. If you want peace, tranquility and space away from ‘the world’ then this is the place. The house and rooms are impeccably designed to fit in with and make the most of the stunning environment. Whether you want to relax on the super comfortable outdoor furniture and take in the breathtaking views, or take the few steps down to the white sands and breathe in the ocean… it is all just stunning! We relaxed on the loungers reading, snorkelled in the nearby lagoons, walked up the beach, and used the kayaks and paddle boards. The welcome we received from Nicky & Col was so special, and we were made to feel immediately ‘right at home.’ Nicky puts so much effort and love into each meal that she prepares, and we loved sitting down to see what deliciousness awaited us. Col’s knowledge of the island and surrounds was so interesting. We loved hearing his stories and learning about the island. We cannot recommend it enough!!

Rosa’s place was just as described. Peaceful, home stay and so met the family, lovely food and we did very little other than read our books and watch the sea. It’s a great place to go off grid and relax. Internet was available but not wifi, so you can turn your phone off and soak up the quiet.

4 single beds Bungalow - Escape at Long Beach’s

AlanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent 6 amazing days at Long Beach. The best way of describing our time was amazing. The accommodation was fantastic, clean and so much space. The compulsory food was so worth it, and it was great to see so much variety each day. We were spoilt by Kasa and Wane and the rest of the family. This was the most stunning lagoon to swim in, and we left so relaxed.

*Life's a Beach* Bungalow Ocean-Front in Lodge

PamelaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent 6 days at Safe Landing with our 2-year-old and loved it. Everyone was amazing with our baby—playing with her and looking after her. Being family-owned, there were lots of kids for her to play with, which was wonderful. The island is paradise, with the best beach spot in the area, and it was exactly as described. The experience was truly Fijian. Yes, dinner was sometimes late, and there wasn’t much tour info, but that’s their way, and adapting to their culture made it special. Meals with other guests were great, and we met amazing people. Food isn’t compulsory, but there aren’t many other options. Personally, I’m picky, so some meals were a challenge, but fish dishes were great. Showers were warm despite low pressure, and while rooms aren’t cleaned during the stay, I mopped ours myself, which was fine. After 6 nights, we left a day early, craving a proper shower and AC. Still, it was an incredible, authentic holiday we’ll never forget ❤️!

Nabukeru Homestay

JacquiRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Coming to stay with Misi in Nabukeru village was the highlight of our trip in Fiji. He was an excellent, fun and accomodating host. He had unmatched knowledge of the local area and was able to take us on lots of fun trips including to the caves, hiking, fishing and snorkelling (at a much better price than most resorts offer too!!) It was a lovely location, in a cabin with full mosquito nets right on the beach front, the surrounds were serene and peaceful with the best view of surrounding islands and the ocean and sunsets. The village had a wonderful atmosphere and everyone was very genuine and welcoming, we enjoyed meeting everyone for meals as a different family hosted us each night. We felt like we gained a friend staying with Misi and we really look forward to staying with him again. 10/10 could not recommend more!

Vunidaka Homestay - Bure SEWA

JoelRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Terry, Eddy and family were so gracious and welcoming. The meals were amazing. The local villagers are so kind and friendly. Please understand, this is not a resort. If your expectations are of resort life, you will be disappointed. You are staying in someone’s home space, living along side them as they go about their daily lives performing tasks and routines that may seem foreign to your own. But if you are willing to embrace the adventure of cultural immersion, you will not be disappointed at Vunidaka Homestay. We have made lifelong memories and fast friends through this one of a kind experience! The beaches are unbelievably beautiful, the scenery from the surrounding mountains is breathtaking, the adventures endless! Beautiful coral reefs nearby to snorkel, clams to harvest during low tide, fish just offshore freshly caught for supper….fresh veggies and fruit from the hillside plantation make up the bulk of daily menus.

Island Paradise in Yasawa Village

PeterRating, 5 stars80 months ago
The Red Bure is comfortable, screened and has an ensuite. It is right on the beach and has great views of the surroundings and the village. The description of what to expect was well written. The hospitality was outstanding, the food was fresh daily and plenty of it with plenty of fish and fresh home grown vegetables and fruit. Each meal was prepared by a different woman from the village and we drank the rainwater without a problem. Kana vinaka na kakana! The excursions to Sawa- I- Lau cave was amazing and a must. We also went fishing and snorkeling and a picnic with fresh caught smoked fish. It was all dependant on the tide and we enjoyed just sitting around talking to the villages. Our week long stay could not have been any better- marvelous hosts, welcoming villagers and amazing children. Thanks Sai, La, Eta and the whole village. We will be back

This property was fantastic for a 2 day Fiji island home stay. Plenty to keep busy. Jo and Lice welcomed us into their community. And the meals were fantastic, prepared with local caught fish and local picked fruits. A fantastic few days of relaxation.

White Sandy Beach - Ocean Front Private Cottage

GabeRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This place was amazing if you want a private retreat with fewer tourists this is the place to be! the family taking care of us was so kind and did everything they could to make us comfortable. We would recommend a 3-4 day stay. Getting there was about a 3 hour boat ride from Port Denaru The water was beautifully clear, and there were a large variety of shells. The fresh papaya, village trip, snorkeling, and swimming with the manta rays were some of our favorite memories! This is a beautiful hidden gem, however it is a remote island. [Please don’t make it awkward, If you are used to a pampered lifestyle stay at a resort.] They have toilets, and running water. The water is cold and sporadically quits working. The huts are in a well used condition. And you better get used to FIJI TIME. Some may see this as a down side but, It definitely adds to the experience! If you are looking for an adventure with new friends you will 100% find it on the white sandy beaches of Naviti

Yet Another Yasawa Paradise in Native Village

EmilyRating, 5 stars17 months ago
My parents and I were lucky enough to spend three nights at Taven Homestay with Salome and her beautiful family. We were welcomed into Naisisili Village, were served beautiful traditional meals, got to help make (and eat!) a lovo with our hosts, explored rock pools at low tide, swam every day, and spent quality family time relaxing together. This place is something special! As described, the sleeping and bathroom situation is basic and lighting in the evening is limited (re. off-grid solar), which is all part of the charm if you're game! Couldn't recommend Taven homestay enough!

Ocean Bure @ Coral View Resort with Ferry Discount

LéaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our stay on Tavewa was great thanks to the hotel teams. Roy has a communicative good humor that is heartwarming! Walking to watch a sunrise is worth the effort. We also highly recommend going out to enjoy Blue Lagoon Beach. The location close to the wineries of Sawa-I-Lau is a big advantage since you will arrive before the crowds of other resorts in the caves. The meals were very good, we even have a choice for dinner. Apart from the little ants who invited themselves in the sheets, no complaints about the room which was very clean!
