Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Yarmouth County

Perfect spot for our family vacation with 2 kids 5 and under, my parents, and my sister. Easy short drive to Bar Harbor, the park loop, and carriage roads. Great base for cycling adventures. Kids loved the short hike thru the woods behind the house to the creek. Kitchen and grill were well equipped for family meals. We had a cool week in the 70s so the house was always very comfortable with open windows. The smaller bedroom on the first floor served as a nice office for working during the day, and wifi was fast to support video calls.

This was hands down the best place we have ever stayed both on AirBnB and through other platforms. Mark & Kathy were so incredibly kind. The house is private with stunning water views and so clean and comfortable. The home was truly amazing. I can’t say enough about this place and the hosts. Everything was perfect and while we typically go somewhere new every travel, this has us already thinking about coming back just to enjoy it again! It’s close to Acadia though with how busy Acadia is I recommend visiting Schoodic Peninsula and the other preserves in the area. Sunset here was spectacular.

A fantastic stay- the cabin was better than I could have imagined. Wonderful spot for a family or just friends trying to getaway. Very close to the park and so much to do. Beautiful surroundings and fun eateries near by. The cabin itself was well equipped for us to make a number of meals in so we didn’t have to eat out every time. Heaters in every room made for a very comfortable experience. The response time from our hosts was quick and efficient, making us feel welcomed. Puzzles and board games gave us an awesome excuse for a tv detox and spend quality time with our people. We hope to visit this area again in the fall as the leaves changing was such a magical memory. I might have thought it was a little pricy for this cabin but once I saw the convenience of being just a couple miles from the park entrance and how cute this home was, every penny is justified! Highly recommend this home to anyone!

Gorgeous property. Better than photos convey. Decor is very tasteful, bathroom large and beautiful shower. Everything was done thoughtfully and professionally. Hosts were very responsive and clear. We got some snow during our stay and they were on top of having everything shoveled. Stayed for Christmas while visiting family and couldn’t get over how cozy the place was. I felt like I was staying in the Nova Scotian version of Kate Winslet’s cottage from “the holiday”. Would be gorgeous in the summer too.

This home is very nice, comfortable and has everything you need. Easy to find and access. Location was walkable to downtown BH (3.5 blocks) with restaurants, shops, etc. walkable to the village green to pick up the free shuttle to Acadia (this was very helpful). Very clean and comfortable beds and furniture. We loved the front porch and sat out every afternoon after hiking all day. The only thing to know now the 4th “bedroom” has a twin bed and does not have a door and opens onto the hallway on the 2nd floor and has a door that opens into the 2nd floor balcony. Ok for a kid but has no privacy. Just something to know when booking. Very responsive owner. We would DEFINITELY book this again. One of the nicest homes we have booked anywhere.

My sisters and I stayed here for a few days for our annual winter sister’s trip and had such a lovely and relaxing time! Michelle and Dan’s home is super cozy and comforting - a wonderful place to stay in winter and I’m sure it’s even more exceptional in the warmer months. The sunset from the deck is breathtaking and the view of the stars at night is mesmerizing!! For anyone looking for a fun hike, the Frank E Woodworth preserve is gorgeous! The trail is not maintained in the winter but is well marked. We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay here and highly recommend anyone looking for a trip to coastal Maine stay in this lovely home. You’ll have everything you need and more !

Easy to find. Great trails nearby. Whale watching was definitely the highlight. Hosts were helpful with recommendations and helped when we misplaced our car keys. Would recommend to stay if visiting Brier Island.

Perfect location for our needs, away from the craziness of Bar Harbor (yet just a few miles away when we needed to drive in for meals) and very close to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time. Kevin and Donna’s place was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it together others!

My family and I had a fantastic stay! It was exactly as described and the waterfront was so nice to wake up to. Having two bathrooms was great and all of the decor was fun to explore.

John & Marlene are wonderful hosts - available for questions & last minute problem solving, very friendly & welcoming. A few notes about the units: 1. They're on Rte 1, so you see & hear all the cars zooming by all day & night. This kept some of our party awake at night, but our unit also had white noise machines in each bedroom. 2. The bathrooms do not have bath tubs, just shower stalls. 3. Laundry detergent is provided.

This is the perfect location. A super short walk to restaurants and the action in town, tucked into a beautiful quiet yard overlooking the ocean and shore path. The space was great, plenty of room and everything we needed. Clean! Hot water! Comfy bed! We did get to chat a bit with the hosts who were lovely and made us feel right at home. The area is just incredible, a place I can’t wait to return to. Book this place, you will be so glad you did!
