Vacation rentals in Willen Lake

We have just had a lovely month stay in the cottage in-between our house move. It has been so peaceful, just what we needed after house packing!! AJ and Aiesha were always available and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding area is beautiful and so are all the walks, right from your door... Ponies in the paddock and the chickens are a lovely welcoming sight in the morning. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise upon arrival, full of things to get you started. We also enjoyed many meals at the Countryman pub in the village, just a short walk. This is a lovely countryside airbnb, very clean, cosy and welcoming. We would definitely stay again.

A wonderful stay in a lovely retreat. Quiet and peaceful, but close enough to get anything you need, the place like a home away from home, and Penny couldn't do enough to help out. We'll definitely return to this lovely accommodation.

Our group of five couples stayed here for a weekend reunion and this large house was ideal for our needs. The large kitchen was really well equipped for prep, cooking and eating (although everything initially took a some finding as there are so many cupboards!) and the two tables together made a great eating area. The main sitting room is huge and everyone felt the bedrooms were comfortable. We didn't use the garden at all, it was small relative to the size of the house but there are plenty of lanes and paths locally to walk on. We found plenty to do and a choice of places to eat within driving distance we managed to fit 5 cars into the parking area although it was a tight squeeze. Anjala was quick to respond to our only query during the weekend and overall, we'd have no hesitation about recommending this property for a weekend stay for a large group.

We absolutely loved staying at Spinney Cottage. The host, Caroline, was superb and kept contact. They live next door so was on hand if we had any issues & they made sure check in was easy. The house was incredibly clean, well presented & beautifully laid out. The bath was incredible after a long drive & the front room was so homely. We loved the chickens who came to say hello. We’d highly recommend staying here, lots of lovely walks & things to do locally. We will be back again I’m sure ☺️

Beautiful and bright top-floor studio right next to the water. Short walk from the center of town, and very responsive hosts. The bathroom across the hall is very compact, but the studio itself was spacious and well equipped, I'd happily stay here again when I'm next in town!

We were really pleased with the accommodation. Just what we needed. Clean, comfortable and quiet. God instructions on getting in and what to do on leaving.

Lovely and cosy house, heating was on when we arrived and was nice and warm. Walks to local lake straight from the house are scenic and peaceful. Mattress in main room was very soft but okay for the night. Wasn’t exactly spotless considering the extra £30 cleaning fee and a little run down inside but okay all round for a night away.

A fantastic little place to get away for a few days. Very clean, everything you could need. Beautiful surroundings (you will need a car to get anywhere), responsive host, and a great little break for us. Would happily return.
