Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Wicker Park, Chicago

Vic and Grace were very communicative and reinforced that we could always reach out to them with any questions, concerns, or necessities during our stay. The property was clean and welcoming, and perfect for our girls’ weekend!

My family and I recently stayed at this property for Christmas and the place was exactly as described. Remind to tell you that I am from Chicago. So I am fully aware of the surrounding areas. Am I must say that this property is a hidden gem. If you live in the Chicago land area an are looking to book for a large family event. Then this would definitely be the home for you and your family. However, the home is located on a really quiet block. So if you have family members that do not know how to conduct themselves properly. Then I suggest that you do not extend an invite to them. Non the less. The house was exactly as described and the host was very responsive. Do not hesitate to book this location.

Courtney and Garrett were great hosts who were super attentive and shared great recommendations. The house itself was comfortable and spacious for our group. We were in walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, and the metro and still felt like a peaceful neighborhood . Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place in a good location.

This little house is a perfect home base for visiting our nearby family, all the surrounding suburbs, and super close to highway to connect you to literally anywhere. The town itself is one of the very nicest suburbs with excellent food, shopping, cute downtown. The home was pristine clean, had everything we needed and more, and the kids loved all the games. The old video with PacMan, frogged, donkey Kong & more really leveled the playing field between adults and kids! HA parents finally schooled the kids on video games for once!! Thanks Katie for everything and the gracious early checkin. So exhausted from the road, the extra time really started the trip off right! Will definitely book again at this place.

We celebrated our family Christmas dinner at Christine's house. We were extremely happy to find TWO leaves for the dining table and plenty of chairs so everyone could be together at the same table. The house was very comfortable. My aging Mom kept remarking how homey it felt. The rooms were cozy, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were pristine. We had a minor problem with one shower, but that was resolved immediately with a short visit from a plumber (thank you!). The kitchen worked well for us, and we appreciated access to the garage for our rental car. I would just note that the train stop is a long walk in cold weather. There's a closer stop, but it wasn't in use during our stay. In warmer weather, it would be a 20-minute walk. In December, we used Uber to get to the station. There's a 7-11 within a short walk, and the grocery store is about 1 mile away. The neighborhood is quiet. We really liked the location, and could not have asked for a better stay.

Fantastic spot. Came for a local event with some friends and definitely was not disappointed. Made my first ever Airbnb experience super easy and low stress.

Lois is an excellent host. She was flexible with check in and always quick to respond to messages. The apartment was great for our long term stay. It had all the things we needed from pots and pans in the kitchen to towels. Parking was easy and always to be found. Thanks Lois...

Great place and neighborhood. The place was definitely cozy and matched exactly what the listing described.

Wonderful rental. Quiet neighborhood and easy to get to Wrigleyville and Roscoe Village shopping. The place was very clean, warm (it was in the 20s while we were there), comfortable and a lovely view of downtown from the decks. There were five of us and there was plenty of room. Showers had great water pressure and we did not run out of hot water with all five of us showering in the morning. Plenty of street parking and Uber rides were there within two to three minutes. John was very quick to answer texts. We would stay there again with no hesitation.

We really enjoyed Tish and Tom's upstairs flat. An older, but well-provisioned and pleasantly furnished place, with all of the conveniences of home. Bottom line: We will rent again for sure. The hosts are most welcoming and responsive to one's every need. The property is old but refurbished and in good shape. An upgrade in the shower (it's a little weak stream) would be a welcome addition, as would a wall switch for the center pull light/fan combo in the kitchen. But neither of these is a deal breaker, just suggestions for the next remodel of this delightful sunny flat. Thanks, Tish and Tom!!!! Barbara and David

I had a really nice stay at Jon’s place. Very big space and well kept. Great hosts. Good location in Hyde Park near 53rd street restaurants and shops and the Whole Foods on Hyde Park Blvd

This was a great home base for a weekend of activities in the north suburbs! The kitchen had been recently updated and there were nice homey touches throughout - extra blankets, coffee maker, etc. I might have to return in the summer just for the adorable backyard space!

We had a great stay in this spacious studio garden apartment. We love staying in different Chicago neighborhoods, and Lincoln Square area has a lot to offer -- shopping, restaurants, close to public transportation. The apartment is super clean with a lot of small, special touches (night lights!). Wendy was very responsive in helping us get cream and sugar for our coffee! Parking was easy -- we always found a space right in front of the door. As it is a garden apartment, the ceilings are low.

i enjoyed my stay at Paul & Sarah's apartment. The apartment is in a great location. The Blue Line is within a five-minute walk, making getting to and from O'Hare or downtown easy. The area is very walkable, and the apartment is spacious and comfortable. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago and looking for an alternative to staying at the hotels concentrated downtown and east of Ashland, especially if you want the real Chicago city experience.

We enjoyed a nice 4 day weekend at Colin's place. Listing was as described and shared spaces were comfortable for a group if you elected to spend the evening inside. Neighborhood was nice, safe and offered many shops and restaurants nearby. Colin was very communicative and friendly. I would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

I had a great experience at Zirrell place. I stayed for a couple of days just to relax and get some peace. Place was clean and looked exactly like the photos. I’ll definitely be booking with her again

Super apartment, very clean, bathroom good. Everything, especially kitchen, well equipped. John always responded immediately and guided you how to get in the apartment. 100% recommended

I have stayed at Yuyi’s place multiple times. It’s big, airy and very comfortable. I had special circumstances this last trip and Yuyi was very accommodating. I highly recommend this place .

I’ve stayed at one of his places before and both times super clean, easy to get to. Josh was always so quick to reply. Bonus was it included parking! Will stay with him again

This place was great and very accommodating for our for our family of 6 (parents & 4 young adult kids). We were able to walk everywhere. Hosts were very communicative and very responsive. And, what a surprise to wake up to a delivery of Stan's Donuts!!! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago.

This location was perfect for our weekend trip. It was located right by the subway station and easily accessible by car. The space was clean and there were plenty of towels and the kitchen was stocked. We were there for the Chicago Marathon and the route went right through Chinatown. There is parking available on the street in front of the listing but there is also a public parking lot a couple blocks away.

The Airbnb was amazing, I had a few friends stay with me we had a nice time the host is very helpful and nice always responding fast if I needed anything . Overall stay was great.
