Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Whitestone

We stayed at the House by the Locks as part of a family vacation in February 2025 and had a fantastic time. This is a unique heritage home that takes "historic character" to a whole new level. It was beautifully furnished, spacious for our party of 6, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. We used it as home base for doing winter activities at Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks, and it was a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Check-in/out was easy, and the host was friendly and responsive. 10/10. Highly recommended!

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Ryan was a great host and the place was beautiful and located in a great location easy to find. We loved the place and would most definitely stay again if needed.

We just got home from a wonderful long weekend at Reghan’s place. It was cozy, spotless and well situated (10-12 minutes to arrowhead; 2-4 minutes to downtown). Tea, coffee and chocolate waited upon arrival. The soft blankets and electric fireplace kept us warm while we were relaxing playing board games (she has lots) and watching tv. Reghan was quick to respond, shared a bunch of recommendations, let us to check in a bit earlier and sent over the plow crew after the storm while we were out snowshoeing. Her place is pet friendly so you might find a hair or two on your clothes as those are hard to get every last one of, luckily we're not allergic.

I stayed all month in Jan/25, the place was clean and cozy. Responsive and helpful host. There are only proper curtains in one bedroom, the others are sheers. The living room faces into a line of trees so private but some people may not feel comfortable without blinds or curtains. Note three seater sofa is the only comfy seating (I only mention that because it sleeps 6). The lock is a bit odd, sometimes the door will only open if you turn the handle up instead of down. Note the door locks automatically when the knob inside is horizontal, and is not locked when the lever is vertical. Note there are 2-3 steps ip into the unit once you are inside. Having covered parking for one car was amazing. We got well over a foot of snow this month. Tractor comes to blow out the driveway. Thanks Esteban, I hope to stay again next year.

Fred’s house was great! The house’s open concept was large enough for all of us (6 adults) to hang out in through the cold winter days without feeling crowded. The fireplace added lovely ambience and warmth. The six bedrooms ensured we all had our own space, which was a nice treat for our girls’ weekend. The master bedroom with ensuite was particularly spacious. The whole house was nicely decorated, and overall was a cozy and welcoming place. We didn’t use the sunroom, as is unfortunately smelled of smoke. Fred was a very responsive host. He quickly answered any questions. We had a lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend it.

We came in from Alberta for a wedding in the area, and stayed at Tara’s place. It was much larger than we had imagined, and the property was just gorgeous! We would absolutely book with Tara again if we were back in the area.

Kevin was amazing. He was really responsive and helped us out on multiple occasions (even if it was late at night we would still get an answer from him). The place was very clean and exactly as portrayed in the pictures. Great place to stay and the hot tub was amazing.

We had a great weekend at this cottage! The cottage was clean, cozy, spacious. It had everything we needed for a fun filled weekend. The hot tub, pool table and ping pong table were just some of the highlights of this cottage. Amanda was very accommodating and responsive. She provided all the information needed in order to have the best time. The location was ideal, very peaceful, surrounded by nature, lots of privacy. Overall, this cottage was a perfect escape from the city. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an enjoyable getaway. Looking forward to coming back!

My family had a great time at Mark & Betty’s cottage. It was spotless clean, tastefully decorated, ideally located overlooking a valley and a lake, and fully equipped with amenities, bath towels, fireplace logs , and books and toys for kids. Everyone has something they liked, to name a few, enjoying sunrise in bed, watching birds feeding from the bird feeder, reading by the window overlooking the valley and sleighing on the ski slopes. Mark and Betty were super responsive and friendly, they provided clear instructions and suggestions on things to do locally. Everything went perfectly, this will be an unforgettable Christmas for us!

My family had an amazing time in Bracebridge. The property is exactly as described and photographed and is in very good shape. The pool and hot tub were a perfect way to relax, not to mention the huge tv (with all the streaming services) and an incredibly comfortable couch. The kitchen was big and open and everything was easy to use and worked well. Lots of hot water for showers and good pressure, and super comfortable beds. The home office overlooking the pool was such a nice addition and the wifi service is excellent. The location is easy to find, quiet, and really close to anything you need, and 20 minutes to Port Carling. Absolutely recommend and am so happy we found it!

Our snowy weekend away was fantastic and we all had a great time! The entire cottage was very clean, spacious and welcoming with the pool being an obvious highlight for all! Abdul was very quick to respond and made extra efforts to ensure the property was cleared following a snow storm for an easy and safe exit when we left - it was very much appreciated! We hope to return again next year for more winter fun!

There aren’t words to describe how incredible our stay at your family cottage in Dorset was. This is our 17th year doing family cottage getaways and I can honestly say that this was by far the best. Nobody wanted the trip to end…From the gorgeous and blissful lake to the new dock filled with Muskoka chairs and enough kayaks that we went on our first ever family kayak expedition, to the neat little fire pit, to the indoor pool and the multitude of games and even a karaoke machine which was great for evenings and rainy days. The cottage was prepared with everything and anything we could have needed including the much appreciated extras like duck food for the kids to feed the duck family that frequented the dock. The cottage was spacious with enough room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably, and beautifully decorated and we truly felt that it was a home away from home. The Gerbers are hosts extraordinaire and we hope that we can return again for another wonderful family vacation!

Ben’s Airbnb is a prefect place to stay for our 6 adults and 3 kids Family Day long weekend getaway! Ben is always helpful and responsive host, he replied to my message within a few minutes. His place is clean, beautiful, modern and spacious. We had a great time! Recommend Ben’s place to anyone looking for accommodation in Huntsville!

Had a fabulous fall weekend at Richard's beautiful cottage in Baysville! The pictures on Airrbnb were totally accurate, this cottage is gorgeous! It has everything you could possibly need for cooking meals, very well appointed kitchen. Cozy living room with ample comfy couches around a gorgeous fireplace. The views of the lake are so pretty... perfect setting! We hioe to return! Thanks Richard!

Great stay & responsive and helpful hosts. A lovely place to spend the snowfall.

We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!

Beautiful place with excellent amenities. Its set back in the woods so very peaceful and private. The property has gorgeous trails that were stunning with all the snow. Cottage is warm, comfortable, and well decorated. The sauna is amazing. The attention to detail for instructions is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Nicole was very responsive. She made sure our check-in went well and asked if we had any questions at the start of our stay. The house is large and nicely decorated. The outdoor fire pit was so relaxing, and fun for all of us (firewood, and toasting forks provided for marshmallows!) The kitchen is large and very well stocked. It is close to many hiking trails, and breweries. The near-by lake beach is a great place to watch the sun set. I highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at the cabin in the woods was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, Ron made us feel incredibly welcome. The cabin itself was a charming blend of rustic elegance and cozy comfort. Snow-capped trees and the serene sounds of nature provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing retreat.
