The Bhombay Beach House on Sandy Lake Huron~!

AimeeRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved everything about the Bhombay Beach House! It was private, cozy, and super clean. We appreciated the full kitchen (coffeemaker/coffee, full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, glassware, and utensils), since we like to save $$$ by making breakfast while on vacation. Bob was very responsive without being intrusive. He provided extra amenities without our asking (umbrellas and nighttime snacks!). The large-screen TV included Netflix ... lots of DVDs, too. The views of the beach (Lake Huron) from the living room and kitchen were gorgeous. It was too chilly to use the firepit, but we walked the beach on our last day, which was lovely. LOVED being so close to the water! We were just up the street from the ferry to Mackinac Island. We had never been, and it didn't disappoint. Horse-drawn carriages, the Grand Hotel, funky restaurants, lots of bicycles, fudge! Make sure to visit Bob (and Thom's) store, Cottage UP. Great finds! In short, a perfect stay in every way. Many thanks.

Nice cozy smaller condo in a scenic location. 5 minutes drive from Highlands and even less to Nubs, also close to Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Very well stocked, including coffee and a small gift basket which was really appreciated. The host was amazing, great communication and very flexible with our needs. Would definitely stay here again.

Lake View, Fully Furnished Home, Close To Ferry's!

JanetRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This was an awesome trip. The house was so clean, we didn't even have to wipe down a countertop! Everything is as described in the pictures! Gregory answered any questions we had so promptly. The location was wonderful, we set out by the firepit each evening and watched barges across the street go down the water way. The house was equipped with everything we needed, the drawers were labeled, very easy to find whatever you needed. The location was perfect, restaurants and breweries were close and the local fish, walleye and whitefish were excellent. Mackinac Island Ferry in St Ignace was very close and the Island is so worth the trip. We did the Carriage House Island tour, I strongly recommend this tour when visiting the island! Sault Sue Marie was just an hour away, we did the Soo Lock Tour it was very informational. We had an added extra, Canada was having an Air Show and we were able to enjoy the Snowbird's show!

The property had everything we needed for a perfect getaway—lots of amenities, including provided firewood and fire starters, which made evenings by the fire so enjoyable. There were plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy right on the premises, making it the ideal spot for relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting!

Beautiful Lake Superior Getaway

DanielleRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Beautiful views! Had a wonderful time with my family. This stay was well stocked with toiletries, spices, oils, some condiments and other kitchen supplies, which was a nice touch when travelling and not having to stop and buy all the extra little things, especially for cooking. Lots of extra blankets and washer and dryer, which came in handy. We made some wonderful memories!

Captain's Quarters @The Boat Shop - Paradise Bay

LynnRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in early November. We could not have asked for a better weekend, nor a better place to stay. We took the ferry from Charlevoix and rented a car from the Burton's as well as the apartment. The car was waiting for us at the ferry dock, which was very easy to find. While we could have easily walked to the rental place, it was really nice having the car right there. Our space was ready, so we unpacked and started to explore the island. We were also able to pick up our friend at the Welke Airport via Island Airways, which is another great way to travel (quicker than the ferry with the 20-minute flight). While it was a slower time on the island, we relaxed, made dinners in our own kitchen, enjoyed a wonderful view of Lake Michigan out our front window, and spent time exploring the island. It doesn't get much better! Thank you, Carol and Dan, for offering such a great space and making it so easy for us to relax!

We had a great time during our stay. The cabin was perfect for us and was directly across from a gas station and Andy’s Bar which had good food and atmosphere. Cabin was right on the snowmobile trail and had pull through parking which was great for the snowmobile trailer. Definitely would book again!

Lodge Slps 18 NEW Patio_Hot Tub_Ski_Pets ok

PaulRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Hideaway was an ideal home for our large family (11 adults, 6 children under 9 years old) to rent for our ski vacation. The description perfectly matched what we walked in to, so we were able to easily identify sleeping arrangements ahead of time. From the hot tub (ready to go, just take the cover off and get in) to the fireplace (with stacked wood right outside the door), everything was perfect. Chaya was also very responsive. It snowed the day we arrived and one of our front-wheel drive vehicles had a problem getting up the long winding private drive leading up to the house. The next morning when I messaged about the problem, Chaya resolved it immediately by having the drive plowed and salted. Our family all agreed that we'd definitely stay there again, in any season!

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return someday. Michigan was having an Indian summer, so the weather was perfect and with the cool evenings the firepit was perfect for making smores!!! The house and property were very well maintained and made us feel right home. If you are heading to the Cheboygan, Michigan I strongly suggest checking out the place.

Log Cabin Near Mackinaw City/Snowmobile Trails!

Danae'Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our recent girls' weekend getaway at this sleepy little cabin in Cheboygan was nothing short of perfect! It was the ideal spot for a cozy, relaxing retreat with our moms and cousins, and we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful setting. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the warmth and comfort of the cabin. The space was thoughtfully designed, making us feel right at home. The fireplace quickly became the heart of our stay—we spent hours watching the snow gently fall outside while staying toasty inside with blankets, hot drinks, and great conversation. It was exactly the kind of slow, peaceful escape we were looking for. The cabin had everything we needed, from comfortable beds to a well-equipped kitchen where we made snacks and shared meals. The quiet surroundings added to the charm, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy each other’s company without distractions. If you’re looking for a charming, peaceful retreat in Northern Michigan, this cabin is an absolute gem.

The Birchwood Cottage in Grand Marais, MI

JamezRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Came from the south and directions were a little difficult to find it. Once we turned around and came from the north it was easier to find. House is just like described. It is all outdated, but everything was clean(microwave smelled like burnt popcorn while heating our leftover pizza). Wifi wasn't working upon arrival and no cell service so we went to eat at a local restaurant for wifi. Once I contacted brandi, she had it fixed within 30 minutes while we were out for dinner. Pretty private space, and only a few minutes from the public beach! We did see a mouse the last night we stayed. But thats not unheard of with a house in the woods that's mostly unattended. Its not ideal but if i had to, I would stay here again. It was the best available at the time l needed it. The beds were clean and comfy and it had a clean shower. That's all I really needed so I got what i paid for. Brandi was very polite and helpful when needed as well.
