Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Whanganui River

A spotless, well equiped place to be based for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home, thank you!

Our group (5 adults) enjoyed our stay at the 70s Lake Haven after hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing! We especially appreciated the authentically cozy decor and vibe, and would recommend this spot for fellow hikers (though the beds and shower might be a bit small for some)! Everything was very clean, well stocked, and the views of the sunrise over the lake can’t be beat.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend. the house itself was stunning, very homely with beautiful decor. The views were amazing and sitting in the spa pool looking out over the lake in the evenings was awesome. Super private and peaceful place. We'd love to come back again.

The accommodation was amazing for a large group. House has an awesome lay out, super spacious living area and kitchen, comfy beds, and warm and toastie. Bridget’s communication was great at all times, highly recommend to stay here!

Great home for families with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The living space was very comfortable, and the addition of a range of family boardgames was great. The home is set in a quiet tranquil area overlooking forest/bush which provided lovely walks. Easy 10mins walk to Carrotland which is an an awesome adventure playground and activity area with pump track, bike tracks, playground etc. Our 7yr old loved it. We had some issues with running water when we arrived but Charlotte was super responsive and helpful and it was all resolved within an hour...and Charlotte provided a wee gift basket (nibbles and wine) in acknowledgement of our being slightly put out. Charlotte was very thoughtful and responsive in managing the whole issue. We will absolutely stay again. It was a lovely comfortable home.

Awesome. A place with the wow factor that's also comfortable and spacious. We were a couple looking for a special weekend away, and this fit the bill. We would also come here with friends and family... there's plenty of room for lots of people. Peter was a great host and made the whole experience easy.

Beautiful home very near Ohakune town center (with easy beautiful outdoor walks to and from the property). Views and space itself exceeded already high expectations set by the photos. Well equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches from the spa, kitchen and bathroom supplies, to the fireplace and TV streaming options.

We travelled down with my elderly parents and the place was just perfect. Peace and quiet, one level home, my parents sitting outside the deck watching the golfers, big house, plenty of room to move around. Beach and diary 2mins away by car. We stayed for 2 days and everyone loved it especially my elderly parents. So thank you to Vicky and Chelsea. We will definitely be back

Nice stay for our ski trip to Turoa, only 20 mins drive! Although kitchen has got all facilities but we have been dine out for 2 days for the locals tho the kitchen was left as it was. This 2 bedrooms unit with kitchen and bathroom facilities are just good enough for our family of 4! Dion was easy and friendly to communicated. The hot tub next door within less than 1 minutes walk is a great bonus for a full day after ski! Will come back for the next skip season!

Have stayed here before when attended a local local yachting regatta and found the location convenient. The property is close to the western ramps for launching support boats. Will rent again if the property is available

Alison and Ron were so kind and friendly. The space was very comfortable, especially the beds. Nice little bathrooms attached to each room as well!

We had a great stay in Taupo. The apartment was just like it appeared in the photos and was well equipped with everything we needed. It was nice and warm with the underfloor heating. We would happily stay here again if back in Taupo - thanks!

Private, warm apartment at the Powderhorn end of town. We were inside for the majority of our two nights in Ohakune due to the weather but we were so comfortable and made use of the fully equipped kitchen. Thanks Dion for your great communication. We would stay again.

Lovely location overlooking Lake Taupo and into the sunset. Spacious deck to relax, eat and enjoy the view. Helpful responsive host. Very clean and well equipped living areas. Lovely Millennium Hotel restaurant right across the street. Great location for a relaxing break.

Lovely apartment with spa. Had everything we needed, and we felt right at home. The perfect base for our mountain adventures!

We stayed in National Park village for 2 nights as we did the Tongariro crossing one day trek. The village was very quiet, amazing starry skies and extremely friendly locals. The accommodation was very spacious, lots of books and games and a really comfortable bed in our unit. Margaret was a great host, very responsive and friendly and so helpful with my many questions. Thank you.

Loved it so much I didn’t want to leave. I enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the birds. Reminded me of home and will definitely be coming back. It was just what I needed and the place was decorated beautifully.

Like Philippa stated when villa finishes renovation it definitely looks grand and posh. But still loved interiors tastefully decorated furniture and personal touches. All of us enjoyed something different than normal air b&b experience. Thanks

Sylvie’s house was an absolute dream!! Everything from the views, the decor, the location- it was all amazing. There were lots of little touches that made it feel like a really welcoming and comfortable home too (not a soulless holiday let), which made it even more special. Sylvie was incredibly warm, accommodating, and responsive- overall a really lovely host. Thank you for an amazing stay, we really hope to come back one day!

Fantastic place to stay, had a great time

WOW!!! This has been one of our favourite stays for my kids (8, 6, 3) and I, so far. A beautiful old character home, stunning showroom-like kitchen (featuring all the bells and whistles), large dining and living spaces. Bedrooms were very spacious, with comfy beds. Huge lawns - so much room to run and play..... And all of this set on a large 305 hectare farm, with gorgeous views of Mt Taranaki and surrounding landscape. Peaceful, is an understatement. Andrew was a great host. Responds quickly, is very helpful and friendly. Highly Recommended
