Absolutely stunning villa in the mountains. The pictures cannot show how beautiful it is. The response from the host was immediate and extremely helpful. The caretaker was friendly, helpful and provided all our excellent meals. The place is AMAZING, I could happily live there. It has everything you could need and the most incredible views. Wonderful!!!

Although the place is a little difficult to reach, the place and the views make up for it. Anuruddha is a great host and the property has private staff with a great chef who cooks amazing food. I’d recommend people to stay for more than a day to get the most out of the place

I travelled here in a group of 5 guys. Absolute gem of a place 10min away from Kandy lake. View of the hills from this place is amazing. Will need a private vehicle to commute from here but thats not much of a drawback. Last but not the least the hosts were very sweet and charming(Hiroshans mom and dad) . They made us feel at home and treated us like own family members including providing us breakfast and dinner and also refused to accept any charges. Don’t have to say the food was delicious. This will definitely be my go to place whenever in Kandy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you want to cook - then the kitchen is pretty well equipped. However, Rojani, the housekeeper, cooked amazing meals - making it unnecessary to go out. Only thing is you need to have cash on hand to pay for the meals on a daily basis, which we found a little awkward. But Rojani and her sister were super helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. If we come back to Sri Lanka we will definitely book this property again - it was the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Highgrove Estate. The bungalow was immaculately maintained, and the scenic surroundings were absolutely splendid. Mr. Johnson (the manager), Srini (the caretaker), and Prasad (the cook) took great care of us, ensuring all our family's needs were met. They were all very kind and humble. The listing matched the photos perfectly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend Highgroove estate to everyone!!!!

This is a beautiful spot - incredible views, great food, amazing service. We stopped by for one night on the Pekoe trail but my advice is to stay 3 nights because it is super special

You’re missing out if you don’t book. Freya and Remon are the loveliest couple - they made me feel right at home when i got there. The place is immersed in the forest, restaurant food is awesome, bed is comfy and the house was sparkling clean. The place is such a vibe and these two are just the best - they have some land with some lodges scattered around the forest, a cute restaurant, yoga retreats, ethical vanilla crops, forest preservation projects.. you name it! Wifi was great for working remotely (video calls + screensharing without any issue), kitchen has got all the utensils and it’s not invaded by ants like any other place i’ve been in sri lanka. I really enjoyed Freya and Remon’s company and can’t thank them enough for all the recommendations and tuk tuk calls - genuinely helpful and so easy going. Would be back in a heartbeat!

If you are looking for a wonderful villa, set in a beautiful location, with facilities to hand, you are looking at the right place. Add to that a charming local host ready to arrange travel, guide activities, and cook tasty Sri Lankan meals and you will have to look hard to find a better holiday destination. Communication from the moment we booked was excellent, we had a beautiful holiday. Very highly recommended. Ged.

Super stylish city pad just far enough away from the bustle of Kandy city centre but close enough to easily reach anything you need. Clean and well equipped we were able to cook, relax and watching the amazing storms at night through the panoramic glass wall in the living area. Totally recommended.

Location is really good, you ll have a great view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Breathtaking views. House is really nice and clean. Staff members are really friendly. They communicate well and they can cook 👨‍🍳 well. If you want to use the pool please let them know early, pool is having fresh water from mountains. If you have a driver, he/she can have their own drivers unit at the back of the house. Rooms are really good and all the rooms have attached bathrooms. This place is good for 8 people. We will be back again ☺️🤩🎉
