I can’t say enough about Lisa and Phillip’s property. We got married this past weekend in Ann Arbor where I grew up, and the Lodge was the most perfect home base for our wedding weekend. We had been deliberating about booking a place closer to downtown, but knew as soon as we walked in to the Lodge that we had made the absolute right decision. Phillip and Lisa are so wonderful and thought of every detail. Pictures truly do not do their place justice. The wood throughout the house is so beautiful, the natural light is gorgeous. It is so clear how much love and care and pride they’ve put into the home. It is the perfect combination of homey and modern and rustic and high tech. It feels like a private retreat but is only ten minutes from downtown. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. We feel so lucky to have been able to spend our wedding weekend at the Huron River Lodge. We are already strategizing about how we can come back and book our next stay!

Jason was a gracious host, we enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back to stay here again. Great location, comfortable, clean and had really cool art. It was such a vibe. He even added extra heaters for us bc it was going to be extremely cold the weekend we came to stay. I wish we had more time to enjoy this place. The bed was so comfortable. Nice firm mattress. Can’t say enough about this place and Jason. We had no issues, everything was perfect, seamless. This house added to our memorable stay in Detroit. We won’t forget this place!

From start to finish Chad was very responsive. Any and all questions I may have had he already answered. The place was quiet, clean and beautiful. 10 out of 10 chef's kiss. Would definitely recommend to family and friends if they are in need of a peaceful moment away.

Nick's place has quickly become our go-to spot when staying in the Detroit area. It's comfortable, feels like home, is close to downtown and the highways, so getting around is easy, and we love that we can bring our pets with us.

Sara’s listing was very lovely and had a very homey feel with lots of traditional furniture and tons of natural light. Each bedroom has its own vibe. There’s a narrow staircase that leads up to the living space which might be troublesome for some older folk but other than that I love everything else. We didn’t need to use the stove or any appliances but there’s was basically everyone you would need, plus there were some chickens running around the backyard which was fun. Would stay here again. Not too far from downtown.

Ann Margaret was a wonderful host, checking in regularly to make sure everything was working for me. She and Judy left many special touches around the space (delicious breakfast treats, glass bottles of filtered water, a heavy duty ice scraper for my car) to make it feel like a very personal experience despite the ample privacy. I loved the space which was homey in an elevated way. It was a great retreat for a busy visit to Ann Arbor.

This was a great spot for my family to base ourselves while we visited extended family. It was clean and comfortable and, though we didn't cook much, the kitchen looked really well stocked. Very close to downtown Ferndale in a cute neighborhood. Great value!

Great place, I would stay here again. Location was perfect, close to everything I had planned yet peaceful. Place is comfortable and cute as a button. Jennifer provided everything one might need and was a clear and responsive communicator.

location was key to renting here. close to all the stadiums and arenas. Paige was easy to communicate with when we wound up having to cancel last minute due to unforseen circumstances. Will definitely rebook again if we decide to make a trip to a Red Wings game.

Auntie Blondie (as she told me to call her) was an awesome host. She was very thorough giving me a tour of the property and was a phone call away when I needed anything. Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely fantastic! The home is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The fully stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze, and the pristine bathrooms and comfortable beds made it feel like a true home away from home. The highlight for our family was the incredible indoor pool. Even though it was freezing outside, my children had a blast swimming and enjoying the warmth indoors—it was truly a special experience. The TVs and games were a nice touch as well, keeping everyone entertained during our downtime. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, fun, and relaxation!

Stayed here for 2 weeks with my 2 kids aged 8 and 11. The place was nice and clean and the host was easily contactable and sent us a message every couple of days to check all was ok. We had plenty of room and facilities to cook and do our laundry. The pool area out the back was great and my kids and I spent many hours swimming. I would definitely consider booking again if we are back in the area next year.

My family needed a larger place to stay over the holidays and we required a decent kitchen because we like to cook meals all together. This property met our expectations for every meal we had planned. The beds were clean and the rooms were all sufficiently sized for our needs. The additional amenity of having the indoor pool during the winter was great for all the kids to have an activity to do that they enjoy. This house has clearly served multiple generations of families and it made a nice touch for my family holiday. The host was available to message the entire stay and it didn’t feel like a problem if we needed anything or for questions. The secluded location was wonderful to wake up to but a little tricky to find in the dark for the first time check-in. All in all a very positive experience staying at this property.
