Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Wakulla County

We just returned from a lovely stay at Face in the Wind. Patrick's place was pristine and had everything you could need. The beach was much closer than it looked on Google Maps—it was a super quick walk to a private, white sandy beach. We saw dolphins every afternoon and enjoyed shell collecting on walks. We brought our bikes and did some riding on the trail as well. Played corn hole in the evenings, but never got to use the fire pit -- you can't do everything. We cooked about every meal - the kitchen is well equipped everything you could need. Loved that our fur baby was able to be with us, & he loved sitting on the back porch to look at the canal out back. Saw great blue herons, egrets & an otter (though the fishing wasn't great on this trip). Patrick was super responsive & helpful. Beautiful place!

Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend 2 very peaceful weeks. We loved the abode - so nicely appointed in every way. Kitchen was perfect for cooking our own meals. It was so quiet - really a Refuge!!! Some great near-by restaurants - Trident for a little classier, Salty Donkey for great food and drinks on the water and Hamanockers for awesome BBQ. Wish we could have stayed longer - definitely planning to come back!! Linda had some awesome suggestions as well. Not necessarily for those looking for a fast paced vacation though you could probably find some of that too. We just loved the peaceful solitude.

Amazing view we woke up to a beautiful sunrise every morning! The place was very welcoming and homey….absolutely loved every minute!

What a phenomenal view! Such a great place for a family vacation with kids! We caught fish in the back yard every day. We also got to see stingrays, horse shoe crabs, blue crabs, and a thousand fiddler crabs. Best back porch view of any place that we’ve ever stayed. And the house is very close to two of the best seafood restaurants around, Trident and Angelo’s. If you want a very unique and exciting outdoor experience, this is the place to go. You can truly get back to the basics and enjoy life at this place! The house is very comfortable and cozy with a decent sized kitchen and plenty of space for hanging out downstairs as well. The back porch was our favorite place to be every morning and evening. Can’t wait to come back!

Very nice home. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Beautiful pool, grandson swam even though it was cold. Plenty of beach towels available.

This was the perfect location for us. We had our wedding at Shell point Beach. The house was absolutely beautiful. We had guest from New York. The house had the perfect amount of space for everyone. The view from both decks was outstanding. At this time of the year we were able to see both the sunrise and the sunset.

What a beautiful home with peaceful surroundings! We came in for a Florida State game and we are so happy we stayed here. It’s only about 40 min to FSU and away from all the hustle in town which allows you to relax and reconnect with family or friends. The home was very clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit, walking on the beach, and kayaking. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to another visit in the future! Go Noles!!

A wonderful, peaceful place to stay to explore the beauty of Wakulla county. A short drive from some great restaurants and all the shops you need (try Hutton's Seafood on 98 by the High School!) as well as Wakulla Springs, the St Marks National wildlife refuge and the Wakulla river. Easy to get to but well back from the road so all you can hear in the morning is bird song. Comfortable beds, great climate control a well equipped kitchen for breakfast and simple meals. Brand new washer and dryer, fast internet. Also two bathrooms with hot showers and good water pressure - everything you need for a shorter or longer stay (we were there for almost two weeks). Brian and Tanya are wonderful, warm, responsive and friendly hosts always ready to give great recommendations and tell you something surprising about the history of the county and this beautiful community. Highly recommend this as a base explore this unique and beautiful part of Florida.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Beautiful, wooded surroundings. We arrived after dark, and Adams’s detailed directions were very helpful! Kitchen was well-stocked, and even had coffee. Dorm sized fridge was all we needed for our drinks and breakfast items.

Debbie and David are amazing hosts! Their home is beautiful and so inviting. They went above and beyond for our stay. We celebrated Christmas and they decorated for us, including an adorable Christmas tree! We made such wonderful memories in their home and town. We would not hesitate to book another stay with the Cabin by the Bay 🩷. Thank you Debbie and David!

The hosts were very helpful and the house information was very descriptive. There was information in the house that could help us. The bathroom, kitchen and house are very clean. The market is very close. The location of the house is quiet. It's a great house to relax. We stayed for two nights, but we will come back to stay much longer. Thank you very much for everything🌸🙏

We loved the peace and privacy of this place. It was set in a beautiful location and very easy to get to some fun things to do. The hosts were great, responsive hosts and made this place a lovely little getaway. The cute screened in porch with strings of lights and a nice fan was our favorite part of the house. Loved Trident in Panacea, by far the best restaurant we ate at and even found a place nearby to paddleboard. Loved St Marks State Park, and exploring the coast behind the lighthouse. We spent a day at St George Island and Apalachicola. And we spent a day at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs, and at the amazing restaurant there. Wished the bed had been a little more comfy and the outside could use some sprucing up but we enjoyed it overall!
