Family-friendly vacation rentals in Virginia Beach

This house and stay were exactly what we needed! We are a quiet family that loves peaceful spaces. The home was beautiful, well maintained, clean, updated, and extremely well appointed. Access to both the beach and lake was easy, as was getting into and out of town. Jack proactively reached out to us when we got there to ensure everything was in order and offered assistance if we needed anything. We didn’t need anything during the week but we felt good knowing he was available. We met some of the neighbors in passing and they were friendly and welcoming, too. Wonderful experience!

This house was perfect for our group. We had 16 baseball players and coaches stay in the house. Everyone had a bed, plenty of room and the pool table and ping pong table were a big hit. It allowed for team bonding when not on the field. The house was clean and had all that we needed to host a team dinner for all the families down for the weekend! Highly recommend.

This charming oceanfront studio exceeded our expectations! The panoramic views through the floor-to-ceiling windows were absolutely breathtaking, and we enjoyed watching dolphins swim by throughout our stay. Despite the compact size, the space is thoughtfully designed with tasteful mirrors that create a sense of openness, and the Juliette balcony was perfect for enjoying the ocean breeze. The recent renovations shine through in the well-appointed kitchen and bathroom. The comfortable mattress provided restful nights after days spent on the beach, which is literally steps away. The convenient location allowed us to walk to restaurants and shops while still enjoying the peaceful north end setting. A cozy, clean getaway that offers tremendous value for anyone seeking a beachfront experience.

What a beautiful and serene space for a women’s retreat! It is very obvious that the home is very well loved as well as very special. We all discussed coming back again because we enjoyed the space, the comfort and the scenery very much. We thoroughly enjoyed the great blue heron right outside the window each day as well as breathtaking sunsets. It was hard to get back to the grind after such a beautiful sanctuary weekend away.

Jenna is a great host. Very responsive, personable throughout the process. Location is great. Right in the beach. Several restaurants are walkable. Beach here has a playground for the kids and a work out set up for those inclined. Pools and spa were great, especially on bad weather days.

Kevin’s place was fantastic for what we needed. It’s clean, quiet, extremely close to the grocery store, and a hop and a skip away from the beach and restaurants. The keypads on the building and the unit itself make coming and going a breeze without having to remember a key. I would definitely consider staying here again. Thanks Kevin!

Beverly was very helpful on a short notice vacation for me and my husband! We had a great time and the house was a lot bigger than what we needed but perfect at the same time! We enjoyed having space to enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Being that close to the beach was amazing. Beverly was also very responsive when we asked questions. 10 out of 10 would stay here again!

This is the second time my family has stayed at one of Bonnie’s places and it was fantastic. The house was spacious and the yard was enjoyed by all. The shared pier was a great spot for our teens to take pictures and the shared beach was perfect for the littles to swim and play in the sand. We had a terrific time at Jimmy’s cottage on the beach. You are just steps away from the water and can settle in right there with beach chairs or walk for miles on a fine sandy beach. There is always a ship or two to watch. The cottage has everything you need and has a great layout for privacy with one bedroom and bathroom on opposite sides of the house. The cottage is clean, has everything you need for relaxation and if you want, cooking something up. There is outdoor seating, a table and chairs, a grill and a hammock to while away your time in the sunny afternoon. Jimmy is incredibly friendly and responsive to any issues or needs you may have. He even let us check in early the first morning as the cottage was available. The towels and linen are super comfy as are the beds. It’s a great place to unwind and relax. Terrific seafood at Willoughby by the Bay which is just down the road at the end of the Spit. It’s a dive but the food is five star. Jimmy’s cottage is wonderful!

We were a group of three couples who wanted our own bedroom and private bathroom to retreat to after enjoying busy days and evenings around Colonial Williamsburg. We really enjoyed the location of Kingsmill and all of the spacious condo amenities!

From: The Ladies (70+yo old girlfriends who visited) The airbnb was very comfortable and convenient to the beach. Christina was wonderful and answered immediately the few times we called with a question. She even went above and beyond and left us breakfast goodies/items and then provided puzzles to borrow once we told her that we enjoyed them. She was patient with us senior ladies :). We also appreciate your hospitality during our stay also. Maybe the one suggestion that I would make is that one of the bedrooms upstairs should probably have 2 twin beds instead of a double bed, therefore everyone could have their own bed. We would stay here again on our next Va beach visit! Thanks for everything!

Nareina was a great host. We had an issue come up prior to arrival and she worked with us and helped out tremendously. She was awesome to work with, very quick responses to questions, and very Pleasant. The house was great, very comfortable and close to area attractions. Outstanding fire pit in the back with great furniture. Very peaceful location and comfortable home!

Great spot to relax, reset and recharge. The house had everything we needed to make our meals for the week. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and the hot tub was a great way to end the day. We saw horses most days and were grateful for the beach chairs to use. Best vacation of my life-will be back.

Bijan’s place was amazing! My husband and two small children were very comfortable here. The places offers all the comforts of home and all staff went above and beyond to ensure your stay was nothing short of great. Not only is there an indoor pool to splash and play in with the kiddos, it is directly across the street from the ocean and in close proximity to so many great restaurants. Definitely a must place stay I guarantee you will love it just as much as we did. We will definitely be looking at staying here again in the future!

We stayed a week at Kerri’s place in Virginia. She went above and beyond our expectations, very communicative and organized. She offered a ton of information and insights before and during our stay. Her place offers a delightful and relaxing getaway experience. The resort's picturesque location by the ocean provides stunning views and a serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking to relax by the beach or explore the nearby attractions, Boardwalk Resort is a fantastic choice for a vacation in Virginia. I would definitely recommend and revisit Kerri’s place.

Beautiful full room with separate bedroom and full kitchen . The view is spectacular and the building is close to everything ! We ate at some wonderful restaurants and never had a bad meal . Recommend Rockafeller’s and Captain George’s , Chix on the Beach and Jumping Shrimp . Parking pass allowed us to park and come and go from parking garage garage accreted the street from the property. Mari was amazing checking on us every step to ensure we had a great time . Highly recommend staying with her!

Igor’s place was excellent! The space was clean, in a fantastic location, and exactly as described in the listing. Everything went smoothly, and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in Corolla so much. The house had plenty of space for everyone, the pool was cool and refreshing, the beach was just a short walk away and the horses came by everyday, sometimes walking within arms reach. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to make the trip up the beach. When the tide is high the water can come all the way up to the dunes in places. Remember to bring a tire gauge! If you want to get away from it all and experience what it's like to live on the edge of the world this house is the perfect place!

I appreciate Brooke for her very timely customer service & response time. I originally tried to book with another host within the same resort and he was so nasty, that I wasn't going to look again within this resort. I looked again and it was GOD who guided my fingers to her listing. I'm glad I didn't give up and So glad Brooke was the Angel to respond IMMEDIATELY!
