Wonderful place, great to have the activities too!

The villa has an Old World vibe, but with modern amenities. It was a great place to stay and cook and dine. This was a nice location to base our Tuscany exploration from. The hosts helped facilitate a wonderful home cooked meal by Vilma upon our arrival. The hosts were also very responsive to our questions before and during our stay. You will love this villa!

I have so much positive to say about this place! Despite what some reviews mention about the drive, it's absolutely worth it. There's a small restaurant just 2-3 minutes away, easy access to the city, and you're only about an hour from Pisa and some beaches. The house was perfect—everything well thought out and worth every penny. The pool was amazing, and the host was very responsive. If you're visiting in autumn or spring, bring warm clothes for the chilly evenings. We were sad to leave, and I can't wait to come back to this dreamy property!

We took our family to Barga for the first time. There were 9 of us, ranging from 6 months to 70 years old. The villa swallowed us easily, plenty of space and privacy for everyone. Eleonora and Daniela were very responsive during the booking period, and when we arrived everything was exactly as expected. It's a beautiful place, the views and setting are magnificent, and it really is no more than 10 minutes walk in to the old town of Barga. The welcome pack included local cheese, a traditional cake, wine, oil, bread and was much appreciated! Despite some appalling weather, we made lovely pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven, and enjoyed some (coolish) swimming in the large clean pool - this was early October. Excellent range of restaurants in old and new Barga. 45 mins to Lucca, 1 hour from Pisa - and the caves at Grotta del Vento are definitely worth a visit - especially if it's raining! Overall, we had a brilliant time. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. Pool was great. Perfect for a large family. Owners were very helpful and available when needed. Rooms were hot overnight but this is expected in peak summer in Italy.

We had a wonderful week in Vincenzo's house. We were 2 families with children (5 in total). The spaces in the house were perfect for welcoming everyone. The location, a 15-minute drive from the beaches of Lido di Camaiore and 35 minutes from beautiful Lucca, turned out to be perfect. Out of the chaos, surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Vincenzo is also a super host! Friendly and available. Absolutely recommended.

Very nice place with everything you need for a successful vacation. The kitchen and especially outdoor kitchen were well equipped to easily cook nice dinners for a bigger group. The pool was very nice. The house was clean and the bathrooms looked completely renovated. The best part was the hospitality of the owners. Very welcoming people that know the answer to all your questions about the area. Would recommend!

Very friendly and helpful. Was on site right away if you didn't know or needed something. Nice area. Quiet despite highway nearby. But you can't hear it. Pool was cleaned every day.. gladly again. Regards, Marco

The house is very well laid out with ample space. Cristina left the pool open and this was enjoyed by the younger memebrs of the party. The house is close to the main road which impacts on the external enjoyment at the busiest times but inside there is no impact. We were repeatedly delayed due to fog in London and she could not have been more helpful. We made mistakes with the garbage as the standards are far higher than in the UK and perfectly reasonably she remonstrated with us. We were clearly in the wrong and lessons learnt. One small point, I think the pillows need renewing as very soft.

The villa was so beautiful, very large and spacious with an incredible outdoor area. The place was very clean, as was the linen, and the showers worked well. Brian was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We opted for the home-cooked dinner one night, which was great. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay and I'd definitely recommend this place.

Genteel Home Italy was awesome, it was a great experience, so happy that me and my family chose this home. The location was very peaceful and quiet. Review for house- do you think ok? What an amazing and special home! Thank you to Leonardo and his mum for looking after us all so well during our stay (including Etta our dog) and for bringing us some wonderful local homemade dishes. Leonardo could not have been more helpful and gave us lots of local recommendations. Staying in such an historical building was an experience in itself and the views from the house were spectacular in all weathers- and we had a big mix of weather- sun, rain and storms. The outside spaces were perfect for having drinks and watching the sunset. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and dined in the spectacular dining area outside. Leonardo helped arrange a pasta making class with Alessandra which was a great experience for all of our group. The area is very beautiful, with forest walks, and fantastic views of the mountains and vineyards and huge chestnut trees. We visited some beautiful towns nearby. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday!

Villa Oliva was perfect for our vacation! The house is very modern and in pristine conditions, with everything you might need for a long term stay. Elena and the team were very helpful and quickly responded to any questions we might have had. We loved having a pool, an outdoor grill and the area to see the sunsets was a dream! We highly recommend this property!

Villa Vittoria is the ideal mix of tranquility and comfort, just minutes from Lucca. The interiors are spacious, well heated, and cozy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The covered patio allows you to enjoy the view even on cool days. It would be nice to be able to come back in the summer to enjoy the park and the beautiful pool. A great place for a getaway in Tuscany!

The house is even more beautiful than the listing shows. Set in beautiful private and quiet garden. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms updated and luxurious. Our family of 7 plus an infant had a wonderful (but way too short) stay . We did not want to leave. We cooked meals at night and enjoyed the many beautiful spots to sit and relax. High recommended, we would love to come back again. We are a family of artists and especially enjoyed the art works, libraries, furnishings and decor. 3 of us are also master gardeners , and really appreciated the chance to enjoy the many layers of this garden. All is set on a hilltop in a quiet and beautiful area of Tuscany with easy access to highways. Livia is responsive and great to work with

We just returned from a weeklong stay at this beautiful villa, two families with kids ranging in age from 2 years old to 9 years old. The villa is fairly secluded but we had no problems finding it just through Google maps. The property is essentially fully enclosed so we did not have to worry about the kids wandering onto the roads. The house was extremely clean. Both kitchens were fully stocked with all the pots, utensils and serveware that you need. The outdoors was the best! Beautiful pool cleaned daily; not sure if pool was warmed but it was hot enough outside to keep the temp extremely comfortable. Behind the pool is the beautiful vineyard and volleyball area. The owners were so friendly; they gave us giant baskets of garden veggies and another basket of snacks and so much homemade wine. Elena/Ester were so helpful. The Conad is within 8 minutes away and had lots of fresh produce. We drove into Aulla for coffee and pastries (10 min away). Great base to stay with kids!

if someone is looking for a quiet and beautiful place, this is the place for you! We stayed at Villa sole mio for a week. The view is far-reaching and beautiful. The villas are a little remote meaning that you have to be mobile, but you get peace throughout the day. The location is ideally located geographically and you can reach Lucca,Pisa,Siena and Florence. You can also reach the sea within 45 minutes. Ideal to visit cities in the morning and enjoy the fantastic pool with the view in the afternoon. Our host, Martina was very friendly and always helpful. The employees who work on the property are also very friendly and keep the complex in good shape. What should be mentioned is the access road to the villa. You can only reach the villas by a narrow one-lane pebble path of about 400 m long. A sports car or a lowered vehicle is not recommended. I can only recommend Villa sole mio. Would go there again immediately.

The house and especially the garden were perfect to get some perspective over New Year. Our dog loved the huge garden, we felt great about it since it's completely fenced ;-) Form the house, you have a lovely overview over the olive grove and the valley - in the distance, one cann even spott the towers of Lucca. The garden gazebo makes a nice match with the house and is well lit at night, also some more lights are distributed carefully around the garden which makes the place look special at night. The house is cozy and well refurbished, the carrara kitchen sink and table look worthy and elegant. Stefania is a beautifukl host, always responsive and helpful. We would love to come back soon!

Our stay was wonderful. The view of the Mediterranean Sea is amazing. We were able to see Corsica and the French Alps while relaxing on the observation deck. The house is so much more than what is shown through the pictures. The bedrooms are all large and wonderfully equipped. the location was ideal for the areas that we went to see. We were in Italy for 15 days and three of those days were at this wonderful home. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Barbara for a wonderful stay.

Marco is the perfect host, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The house is perfect, nothing is missing and I have never met such a nice and accommodating host.

We had a wonderful stay in Tuscany, largely thanks to this beautiful house and its amazing site. The facilities are perfect and allow you to spend beautiful moments with family, but also for everyone to have moments of tranquility (we were 6 : 2 adults and 4 teenagers). The site is perfect and exceeded our expectations in all: nature, the view of the landscape, the pool and outdoor facilities, the character of the house both inside and out. We were well received and advised by the hosts. We would definitely and enthusiastically recommend this home!

We were welcomed by the host herself in this wonderful charming and peaceful villa. Perfectly maintained and great pool for the kids. Beautiful garden with lots of fresh herbs to cook with.
