Villa vacation rentals in Vila do Bispo

I loved staying here: the house is spacious and accurate from the pictures. It is located right in the center of Sagres, close to all the restaurants, bars and Mareta beach.

This place was spot on for our needs. Two families (one of four and one of five) plus a set of grandparents. Plenty of space for us all. Comfortable sleeping arrangements and probably room for one extra kid if needed. Kitchen was on the small side of expectations but did everything we needed. Pool was PERFECT (size and temp- we opted to have heating). The golf resort seemed almost empty as we rarely saw or heard other people. Ample parking for 3 cars and still with room for each of us to exit easily. Outside space was also perfect- some shade, at the pool level and on balcony, plenty of sunloungers and cabana bed too. We loved the surrounding villages and beaches and the location was fab because most places are within 15 mins drive. We all said we would love to come back again. It just all worked so well. Russ was outstanding with contact - so friendly and happy to answer questions.

Grant's house is a very good holiday house. We were a family with 3 kids and we had an amazing 2 weeks holidays during the summer. House all equiped and in a perfect location. I highly recomend! Thanks Grant

Had a great time! The house offers enough space for 6 guests and has everything you could ever need. You definitely need a car because the place is a bit remote. However, beaches, supermarkets and also Lagos are really quick to reach. Communication with Laura was also super easy and she spontaneously set up check-in earlier for us. So if you want to have your peace and quiet in a small circle, the house is just right. Pool, garden, terrace, BBQ, several possible sitting areas, big living room, big kitchen, two bathrooms. All included!

This is a beautiful house, spotlessly clean and with everything we needed. We are a family of 2 adults and 4 teenage children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool area was lovely and although not large, it was not an issue as it was usually very quiet there. This property is in a very quiet village called Figueira which is over an hour's drive from Faro airport. Figueira is a gorgeous place but only has 2 small restaurants, a tiny cafe and a pub. There is no shop within walking distance. We used uber to get around but we would recommend having a car. Beaches are stunning but are at least a 25 min walk from the property. As mentioned in other reviews, the wind can be very very strong at times at the property but this is a feature of this area of the Algarve. Overall, it is a fabulous house, in a lovely quiet village and would be a great base from which to explore this very quiet part of Portugal so long as you have a car.

Had a wonderful stay at Peter's house. The location in Salema is wonderful, offering beautiful sea views from multiple terraces. The private garden is spacious and the layout with the kitchen next to the barbecue is great for preparing your dinners. Peter was also very quick to respond to all our enquiries, we felt well taken care off. Can highly recommend and we'd definitely come to stay again!

Highly Recommend We honestly couldn't have asked for more for a family holiday, a superb private 5 bedroom luxury villa, immaculately refurbished and maintained with some high quality interior furniture, fixtures and fittings. The large heated pool and gardens are glorious with plenty of sun loungers and garden furniture. If you play golf and enjoy a challenge then this is the golf course for you, we played a couple of rounds (with mixed results) and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful setting and well maintained course. Salema which is the nearest coastal village (approx 8Km) has a lovely beach and a number of excellent restaurants and bars, we sampled a few of them including our favourite, Restaurante O Lourenco Many thanks Barbara, its a 10 out of 10 for us, we hope to return some time in the not too distant future.

We had a great family get-together at the villa. It was spacious, clean, and we felt at home. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and swimming, exploring the beaches, and nearby towns. It was easy to get to shops and buy the food. We had a couple of BBQs, pizza in Figueira, and ate in Lagos. We enjoyed playing games together in the evenings. We played our own games but there are some available especially for children. Eleanor is a great host, kind and understanding and responds quickly. She makes you feel welcome. Thank you for our time at the villa, Eleanor, and we would visit again. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Gary and Mel’s lovely villa. Everything was beautifully clean and the towels and linen were very nice. The house had everything we needed and more, 2 BBQs on the balcony, cool box and parasol for beach trips, buckets and spades and some floaties for the pool were a really nice addition. Kitchen was really well equipped with lots of crockery and glassware, plus a large dishwasher. The supermarket is walkable and had an amazing selection of everything we needed. Lovely local eateries and stunning beaches 10 minutes drive away. The pool was fantastic, plenty of shallow end for children and a deep end of 1.5m which was deep enough to dive into but still shallow enough for the adults to stand up. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in after a long day coasteering, or at the brilliant slide and splash water park. Thanks so much, would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time at Paul’s villa. The house had everything we needed and the kids loved the heated pool! The location had something for everyone - beaches, golf, tennis etc. and we loved it exploring the area. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come again, thank you. 😊

We had a great stay at Ian's place. The surroundings were amazing, a little secluded without any direct neighbors, which we found was perfect for the week after our wedding. Ian also gave us the possibility to check in earlier, which was much appreciated.

The house is perfect for family holidays! The location is amazing with beautiful beaches and hikes around, all commodities and nice restaurants at the village of Burgau and a lot to see around the coast between 20-30 min car. The communication with Ian and Angela was really easy, so were the indications to find the house and it was more than fully equipped even for my baby niece. They even leaved fresh bread and breakfast items for us. We totally recommend this house for your family holidays, even more if you want endless summer in October!
