Excellent Owasco Lake Vacation House

KateRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Owasco Lake is beautiful - crystal clear - and staying in Adam’s place almost felt like staying on a house boat since it’s RIGHT on/over the water. We loved hearing the waves lapping up against the shore and seeing the sun rise over the lake in the morning. The use of the 3 kayaks was great, and we also brought some inflatable SUPs for our kids - they had a blast on the lake. The house is also close to a Wegmans, a beautiful waterfall (Carpenter Falls), and a great brewery (Aurora Brewing Co). We all had a great time! The neighbors were SUPER friendly and Adam was very responsive to questions. The outdoor fire ‘pit’ on the patio was lovely, and there were plenty of life jackets and towels for the lake. My only complaint is that the house was a bit run down, and the middle bedroom was a bit warm because there was no AC in there. Overall though, a wonderful trip!

Three distinct buildings are seen along the lakeshore, featuring multi-level designs and large windows. A spacious deck and seating area overlook the water, while lush greenery lines the backyard. The houses are thoughtfully positioned to enjoy views of Keuka Lake.

Old Glory on Keuka Lake

ValerieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We were 7 of us, mostly siblings, so with 6 bedrooms it was perfect. The rooms were simple yet clean and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. While the house is not right on the water is is a very short stroll down to the docks and we had a beautiful view of Keuka Lake from the front porch and windows. There is much to do in the area-hiking, fishing, wine tasting. Also we enjoyed kayaking on the lake which is very beautiful and clean. All the stores you may need for supplies are about a 5 minute drive away in Penn Yan. We did a lot of cooking at the house and found the kitchen to be well stocked. There is a fire pit encircled by Adirondack chairs and we enjoyed campfires 2 of the nights we were there. Brian lives 2 doors down, but we never saw him, so there is no worry of the landlord being intrusive. All in all we would definitely stay again!

Beach/Hot Tub/Parking/Wi-fi/Kitchen/Laundry Room

Thank you for our wonderful stay this weekend. Your place is the quintessential lake cottage. Everything we needed was supplied and at our fingertips, without being overrun with “stuff.” Well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. It was a cool, rainy weekend and we took full advantage of the bedroom fireplaces and extra blankets! Would love to come back to enjoy summer-time at your place. Thank you!

The exterior of the townhouse features a neatly maintained patio area with two adirondack chairs positioned beside a stack of firewood. A grill is placed nearby, and large windows allow natural light to flow into the interior. The blue sky complements the home’s beige siding.

Nature Escape: Waterfall, Hot Tub, Fire Pits

ShariRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Historic. Modernized. Spacious. Equipped. Darned near perfect. Our three generations, population ten, aged five months to sixty-some years, just spent three days at Greg’s place. This 200+ year old farmhouse met our family lodging, social, and entertainment needs in every respect. Each bedroom was comfortable with its own personality. The kitchen/galley area featured eat-in and room for big meal prep, while the large dining room allowed all of us to sit together at the massive old long table. “Historic” does not preclude “modern” -- there was proper tv in every room, and lots of ‘smart’ items throughout the house. Some of us braved the (very) cold to enjoy the lovely hot tub on the screened porch. Others of us enjoyed the basement game room featuring, but not limited to, a pool table. The snow masked what is undoubtably a charming outside area with deck, pavilion, and patio seating area. Bristol Mountain is approximately three miles down the road. All in all… just outstanding.

A scenic gorge is lined with towering rock formations, showcasing layers of textured stone. Water cascades gently down the cliffs into shallow pools, while a natural bridge arches above, connecting the walls. Autumn foliage adds vibrant hues to the surrounding greenery.

Close to Watkins Glen. House w/ hot tub+game room

LindsayRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house was really spacious and very sound proof. We had two babies with us that never heard eachother crying. It was clean and we had no worries about the babies getting into anything with all the sliding doors between rooms. It was exactly what we were looking for and Denise was the perfect host.
