House vacation rentals in Valentia Island

From start to finish we loved this place, it was everything and more. The house was spotless and had a vast array of appliances and space. We loved the peaceful nature around it and the view! As it was our first time in Castletownbere we appreciated all the local recommendations and every single person we met was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and thank you to John for sharing this gem with us.

We were a family of 4 adults - a 16 year old and an 8 year old and the house and location were ideal for us as the 2 adults and 2 kids were visiting from Australia. We were able to entertain friends who popped in as there was so much space, well equipped kitchen, huge BBQ etc. We loved this house and would go back. The only negative was the WiFi was not great in the house, but it's also not great reception in the area - so hopefully that will improve. If you were going to work while staying it wouldn't be easy to do so. A great experience was had by all and the highlight was being able to use the pool and leisure centre in Sheen Falls Hotel across the road. Whenever we needed anything Paudie or Kathy were on it immediately.

John & Orla have a fantastic little place. It is centrally located and a walkable distance to the city centre where all the restaurants, shops, churches and groceries stores are. The place itself was clean and well equipped. We were 5 girls who came over for a wedding and it was perfect for us! Orla was extremely responsive over text and allowed us, last minute, to store our bags at the house after checkout. Would highly recommend this stay. Thank you John & Orla. Oh - The hotel leisure centre with sauna and steam room was an added bonus! :)

I would give 11 out of 10 if I could. The home is so stylish and comfortably furnished, and feels very luxurious. Whatever the weather here, the views across the bay were always fabulous and ever changing. I had arrived with high expectations which it totally met and indeed surpassed. Painful to have to leave. The only consolation was to promise ourselves that we would come back again soon.

Great location, within walking distance to the town and swimming pool on the doorstep. House was very comfortable, had everything we needed.

Peter's place was very easy to find in Kenmare. We also had access to the Pool and Sauna facilities at the hotel which was lovely. The place was very clean and had all the facilities mentioned.

Deirdres place was stunning! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we could possibly need. The kitchen was spacious and cozy, with plenty of seating and natural light. We had a lovely time making breakfast and lunch in this kitchen! The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, it was lovely and warm too. We had a great night's sleep every night. Plus, the bathroom was pristine and featured high-quality towels and toiletries. Location-wise, it was perfect. Quiet and peaceful but close enough to local attractions and restaurants. We had a great time exploring the area and always looked forward to returning to the house after a day of sightseeing. \ Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough! Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, this is the perfect home base. I can’t wait to return!

This house was such a lovely halfway point on our ring of Kerry tour. Marjella and Bernard were so flexible with us as our plans kept changing. This was our favorite house on our Ireland tour- so comfortable and also felt like a home with nice touches everywhere. We would have loved to stay longer.

Incredibly beautiful, matched the descriptions and photographs. Tracey gave great directions and loads of tips of things to do. It was so peaceful, only the sound of the waves and the odd sheep. Wholeheartedly recommend it!

Beautiful house in a stunning location. The house was very clean, comfortable and warm. Plenty of space in all the rooms and the views from all the windows were fabulous. Close to Ventry for beach, walks and one or two restaurants and only 10 minutes from Dingle. The host was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Christmas stay Thank you Bridie for the beautiful, spacious and warm accommodation. I had no issues using the kitchen to cook a full Christmas dinner, everything was there, in full working order. the house was cosy and warm. perfect for family. Bridie even had a Christmas tree up for us. my favourite part was sitting in front of the fire.

Sheila's Cottage is really a gem - tucked away from the main touristic routes it's the old farm house on her property renovated and cozy. We felt very welcome and love our time there! We booked very last minute on the same day - there simply was no time to clean the floors. But everything else, kitchen, bathroom and beds were very clean and comfortable! I absolutely recommend Sheila's cottage if you're looking for some peace and quiet for a family and for a more than fair price.

There was 6 seniors that stayed at Deidra’s place and it was splendid. The home was beautiful and comfortable and very clean and very well stocked! Deidra and Martin were terrific hosts: great directions,great tips,great communicators.Outside,a million dollar view and on our last night the northern lights lit up the sky. While I print this review I am thinking about booking for 7 nights a year from now. There is just so much beauty throughout this part of Ireland and 5 days was not nearly enough to explore it.

Visited for three nights. The place was spotless, warm and cosy with lots of heat. It is a lovely, quiet residential area within walking didtance of the town. Alva responded to any queries we had before and during the visit. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely home and beautiful grounds. We appreciated that mary had the heat and hot water turned on before we arrived. She had a binder of helpful tips on operating appliances etc. and suggestions of nearby restaurants and attractions. She was accommodating when we asked for early checkin.

Very clean, functional accommodation with space. Baby equipment if needed, well suited for family trips.

Gerry was a most helpful and gracious host! He was there to meet us even though we had easy self check in instructions. He showed us around the home and explained how to use a couple of appliances. Gerry was very helpful, friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. His Airbnb is very roomy, comfortable, quiet and well located! We strongly recommend this lovely Airbnb!

Everything was perfect for our family of 7 adults . Stayed two weeks and everything was very convenient and close to town within 10 minutes . Food stores also within walking distance. This was our second time there . We will be back again .

This home is so special. It’s actually potentially ruined us for any future stays through Airbnb because it set the bar so high! What an extraordinary space. Martha and Karen couldn’t have been any more helpful, communicative and thoughtful. The views from all front windows are absolutely stunning! We had beautiful, sunny, evenings and several afternoons where we just watched the ocean for hours. We lucked out with live, Irish music at Causkey’s where the locals took us under their wing and it added even more to our already wonderful experience. This was our first time in Ireland and Martha’s home capped off our time there. The place is so spacious, warm, clean and like no other home we’ve stayed in. We can’t say enough about our time spent here. We were sad to go but so pleased to be able to create memories there.

We enjoyed our short 2 night stay. Short walk to the water and surroundings were so beautiful. Area is nice and quiet. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious.

The home was beautiful and a great location. It is 3/4 of a mile from Dingle center and an easy walk. We had everything we needed! The home was spotless, modern and decorated for the holidays. We really enjoyed our stay!

Brilliant property, great location, fab views, well equipped and cosy. We had a great long weekend with my parents in law, was very accessible for my disabled mum in law as there was a fabulous downstairs en-suite bedroom . Anne Marie was so helpful and responded really quickly to any questions we had. We can’t wait to go back again soon.
