Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Utila

I actually ended up cancelling my stay at the last minute because we had some friends drop out and this was the second house for a group (and was no longer needed). Alisha was super sweet about it and told me she would try to rebook it to someone else in order to refund my money.

Our experience at José's casita was really great. We greatly prefer a house in the countryside, with chickens, trees and garden, than a tourist inn. Our experience was much more authentic. José was very welcoming. The house is even better in real life than in the photo. There is a large balcony with two hammocks, a very nice dog, two bedrooms with fans and small air conditioned. No hot water (because it's rainwater), but for us it was more interesting. I would recommend to anyone who wants to support someone locally and a more authentic, eco-friendly, and less touristy way of life. 10-15 minutes walking distance from the center. Only mini detail: the kitchen is not very well equipped and a little underside. Otherwise, everything is good!

What a great place! Really peaceful/private surroundings but close to town. The pool was great for the sunny days. And we enjoyed the large front porch during the rainy days. Close to many restaurants and the main strip. Helpful/responsive host.

Incredible and unique experience! Communications from Ozzie, Herman and Daphney were great. For a bit extra, Herman picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry dock in Utila in his dorry (small motor boat). He also included a trip the next day to Water Cay, which is important, as there are no beaches on Utila Cay. Herman and his family are among the friendliest people you'll ever meet! Lovely house, too! Important things to know: This house is not on Utila, but on Utila Cay, a 15 minute boat ride away. You'll need some way to get there—we used Herman's services. He can also bring you from La Ceiba, weather permitting, if you opt for that option. The house is likely the only lodging on the island, but the rest of the island is totally covered with houses. The islanders are lovely people and an interesting culture of their own, incredibly honest and friendly. The place is very safe. Utila Cay has several little stores, all just a short walk, and Herman has a restaurant.

Extremely comfortable accommodation and better conditions than are usually found on the island. Private, easy to find, with amenities. The pool is an excellent place to relax in a cool area.

A really nice space, private and gated courtyard felt very safe as a solo travelling female. Nice location, around a 25min walk to UDC (partly uphill on the way back) but 100% walkable I did it nearly every day for 3 months. If walking at night would recommend keeping a torch, for both the road and the path to the apartment, on you as there are occasionally leaf cutting ants on the path minding their own business the lighting is okay but could be brighter. Really quiet location ( jungle party once a month can be loud) compared to other places on the island.

Anchor Inn was a dream come true. We loved everything about the place. Private cabins with lots of shared space outside. Kandy and Carlos take excellent care of the property and the pool. We swam everyday and enjoyed the outdoor spaces so much. Tons of butterflies, hummingbirds and iguanas! As described in many other reviews they provide so much help. On-site water and laundry, weekly cabin cleaning plus excellent recommendations for anything else you could want or need. Kandy helps with everything and was always welcoming and caring. She even had a traditional dinner at her house for all the guests and residents! It’s very peaceful and quiet. It’s an easy 10 minute walk down the street to the center of town. There’s two small stores right down the block. I highly recommend Anchor Inn. You do have to pay for your own electricity as stated in the listing. It cost us about $20 a week for all of our basic needs. If you run the AC it will cost more.

Location is great, the neighbors were great, the host is awesome, very friendly and serviceable, very clean place, has all you need for a long stay, will definitely DEFINITELY go back

a nice and quiet place from where you can walk too all amenities that Utila has to offer. A great apartment for 3 to 4 people. It has all you need!!

Stay at this Airbnb was perfect. Host and co-host were really friendly. They were responsive and thought about things that I wouldn’t think of, for example a water tank in the apartment.

This cabin was a lovely home for our 4 weeks in Utila while taking professional-level scuba courses with UDC. The cabin itself was larger than expected with a comfortable bed, 2 chairs and 2 bar stools. The shower was fantastic with good pressure and hot water. While we barely used the kitchen, it was well appointed if you wanted to do some cooking. What we appreciated and enjoyed the most was the peaceful garden and beautiful pool. The pool was worth its weight in gold on hot days. The other guests were all very respectful and the place was quiet (great for divers who need to sleep and rise early). It’s off the main strip, but only a 15-20 walk into town, with a corner store steps away and other shops/restaurants about 10 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have re-booked it for later this year!

We had a nice stay at Anchor Inn. The location is about a 15-minute walk from the main street. I worked remotely for our month stay and the wifi worked perfectly without any issues. We are traveling with our small dog and he enjoyed the walled, gated complex. Access to a washing machine was a big plus. We enjoyed our stay and would go back in the future.

Really appreciated the stay in this amazing hostel right at the ocean!! Amazing possibilities to go scuba diving and snorkelling, karaoke bar right on the other side and the small restaurant is perfect! Will come back!

Stood at casa Eastwind in June for my destination wedding. Location and amenities were perfect. Tony & Jo were so welcoming and made us feel like we were walking into our own home. Communicating with Jo was always quick and easy. Would definitely love to work with them again when we go bacon

We had a great time at Laura’s house, very spacious inside and out, had everything you might need during your stay and its right in front of the beach with a wonderful view! Also special thanks to Angel, the concierge, he was very kind and helped us out with everything on time!

Has everything you need. A/C, wifi, towels. One morning there was no water but host was responsive and helpful. Water issue was fixed quickly. Comfortable place to stay!
