Luis's thoughtful Movida suite is the full Portuguese immersion: from the polished charm of the home the host grew up in, to its location in the heart of Porto's hippest corner. Luis goes to exceptional lengths to accommodate his guests, so save the money on the overrated bus tours — just follow the host's daily tips for this walkable city. Luis will also ensure you eat well (not that this is hard in Porto) by offering some cracking good culinary guidance. Though this is not an apartment for people who hope to cook, eating in doesn't make sense when there is a bakery outside the door and an almost inexhaustible supply of affordable, fabulous fare within safe walking distance. This suite is pretty soundproof, but Porto's historic centre delivers no shortage of talkative street characters passing by. So get the most out of this memorable city and its exceptionally warm people by packing earplugs. I'd say the only real catch is securing your spot this in this rightly sought-after Airbnb.

Jorge and the accommodation are 10! Without words! The train station that is 3 minutes from the site has easy access to the airport, very good! It would return to both the accommodation and the area, very good!

Great cosy appartement. Good location, everything reachable on foot but quiet as not on a main street. Very clean, comfortable beds, perfect for the 3 of us as large enough. I guess if more than 3 people it could be a bit small but 4 would work. For our teenager the top bed was perfect, with small kids I guess the sofa bed would be a better option. Everything was very clean, easy self check-in and very good communication. I recommend and would come back anytime. Thanks for the quick and easy communication with Mike

This is a quiet, comfortable apartment. The location was absolutely perfect for us. Everything we wanted to do was within 5 to 15 minute walk. The apartment was clean and the kitchen well equipped. One little thing to keep in mind is this unit is on the dark side, which is not an issue at all, if you are out exploring the stunning city during the day, as we were. The hosts are friendly and responsive.

Listing as described. A little out of the city center but it's fine because it's quiet and the metro is a stone's throw away to visit. It's very clean, very well equipped. The lovely terrace is pleasant after a day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend it!

The place was beautiful and just perfect for the trip....easily accessible and close to the beach...private parking and quiet neighbourhood. The hosts Jorge and Susana were awesome !!! Their hospitality was excellent !! They recommended nice places to visit and local restaurants which were indeed worth trying for!!

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

Diogo is a great guy, super friendly and helps with everything you need. I spent 2 days kitesurfing and was able to borrow his surfboard on windless days – a great bonus! The accommodation is simple and has everything you need, but don't expect luxury (except the hot tub :-)) The location is beautifully nestled in nature. Perfect for those looking for peace and outdoor activities.

There were three of us there, had a car for which there was a private ,lockable parking space. By car you can make very good excursions in different cities, also to Spain, so we could definitely not get bored. Restaurants and shopping facilities can also be reached on foot on site. The hosts were very friendly and flexible in all our concerns. Overall, happy to come back 👍

We have never felt so welcomed at an Airbnb. It felt like we were staying with friends. Pedro is a super-super host!! The road down is very narrow and goes through a cool old village. We arrived in the middle of a big storm and he came out to show us where to go and helped us get our luggage inside. The power went out the next morning, and he had pizza delivered for us. We were traveling with two small children and there were so many thoughtful touches. A crib with a little mattress, kids toys and books, and a baby gate for the stairs. There was fresh local baked bread delivered to our door every morning! You can tell Pedro and Monica have put their heart and soul into this property. If you want an off the beaten path, intimate Portugal Airbnb experience, you should stay here!!

Manuel and Christine are very welcoming, generous, available and have good advice. Ideal house for 8 people with one bathroom and toilet per bedroom. Very pleasant exterior and ideal location (20 minutes from Porto.)

We had a great 2-weeks stay at Melanie’s ! A cute, cosy and well equipped place, Mélanie made it a home for us right from the start. Great amenities both in the house as well as surroundings. Highlight would definitely be its close proximity to the beach - one of the best !

The apartment is perfect, has everything you need and is very cozy and warm. It is sunny all day long until dark. The kitchen and bathroom come perfectly equipped and the bed is super comfortable. The location is very good because you can walk everywhere, but if you like silence, you may find it a little annoying. It's an area with a lot of car traffic, even at night. But we didn't mind. We would definitely repeat!

Clean accommodation. The place is not such a highlight but ok for a stopover. In fact, you can eat fish very well and at fair prices. Opposite the apartment there is a small shop with very tasty sandwiches.

We were welcomed very well upon arrival, the accommodation is well arranged and everything you need is on site in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The apartment is less than 10 minutes walk from the ocean as well as a quarter of an hour from shops. We had a lovely stay in Esposende.
