We had a lovely stay and cannot recommend this cottage enough. Chris and Zelda were excellent hosts. It snowed the weekend we were here, and our car was not able to make it through the snow. Chris drove us to the Spar and to the wedding we were attending. They were beyond helpful. The cottage was also perfect for the weekend: private, warm, and better than expected. Highly recommend 🙌🏼

Michelle was a great host, super friendly, very accommodating and responsive before and throughout the whole stay. Place was modern and clean, there might be a water issue in the area but Michelle made sure we were set for that so it didn’t even bother. There was coffee, rusks, etc. available, which was very nice. As well as a treat on the bedside table for each person, which just shows the extra thought Michelle puts into her AirBnB hosting. Definitely one of the best AirBnB’s I have booked thus far, will definitely recommend and be back when we’re in the area again.

We absolutely loved our stay! It's a stunning location and large property to walk on and explore, the dam was a highlight for our 2 dogs who absolutely loved it. The cottage is stylish, neat and clean. It was a lovely stay and we will definitely recommend it and will also be back as there is so much more to explore.

The 'stone cottage' provided us a lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage is well equipped and has everything a couple would need for a few of days stay. With the exception of the intermittent network/reception, we really loved our stay here. Jane was really accomodation and we appreciate her responsiveness.

What a fabulous place to stay in! We loved our time at this quirky and eco-friendly house. Away from everyone (but with the benefit of the two friendly dogs checking in on us every day), dramatic setting making the views around stunning any time of day, birding from the front porch, all the amenities we needed. Di and Athol made sure we were able to find it, and everything in it. Do stay here if you're in the area!

We had the most blissful few days here, what a dream come true. Stunning surroundings. We took the boat and the tubes on the dam and spent hours splashing around in the river with the kids. Melissa recommended a wonderful walk that we did, short hike with a swim in a waterfall at Cobham Nature Reserve nearby. We will 100% be back and bringing friends now that we know there’s other rentals very close by. The perfect stay, gorgeous house with everything we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay. There are many hike within a reasonable driving distance. The view from the porch is picturesque.

The house was perfect for our holiday. The fenced garden was so nice for our toddler and dog so we didn't have to worry about the water. A real highlight was swimming in the river. The big veranda was lovely for lazy afternoons and braaing. The beds are very comfortable and lovely linen and towels. The kitchen has everything you need. Best if all you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere but there are shops and restaurants close by.

Highly recommended, views that go on forever, dogs, ducks, donkey's and chickens all give the farm feel - amazing garden and birdlife. Amazingly accommodating hosts - what a find - we will be back - thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Niki is such a fantastic host! She went above and beyond for us in every way! The glass sliding door got shattered before we arrived, and she managed to get it replaced on 4 January! There were delicious home made rusks in the kitchen for us, still and sparkling water bottled on the property left for us in the fridge. She was so helpful and friendly and we would definitely go back! x

Very great place for a weekend get away and “digital detox” we really enjoyed our time there.
